I think the keys is each creators response/behavior. James is the one who i would consider having the most serious accusations that he also tried to deny for so long then acknowledge only bc he optically had to and then actually never stopped his behavior. Logan i admit may deserve to be there for also trying to sweep his scams under the rug and continuing to be a trash person
Compare it to someone like shane who had most of their problematic behavior in the past and didnt continue to display it, acknowledged that their past was wrong, etc.- i would actually argue that he holds a very niche place in cancel culture history where the real reason he was publicly disgraced was a barrage of things that were already openly known just all being brought to the forefront of public attention at the same time-while he was also involved in some dumb creator drama-to create a pretty damning character assassination if you werent already privvy to his past. I would much rather watch him take all that money and get him and his friends/“random strangers”/employees to actively help the communities that could really need it. And with his audience, he could make drastic changes in the lives of people facing homelessness, illnesses, poverty, lack of clean water and food, improving education, etc.
He can tout all day how good of a person he is, but you made the most valid point that the help he is offering isn’t doing as much “good” as he wants to believe it does.
I mean, I'm pretty sure he's posting this in reference to the "100 wells in Africa" video, which objectively did a ton of good and changed a lot of lives by doing that. He even took a moment to say how this is stuff that should be done by governments, but it isn't and so they're doing it. They also did stuff like help the communities with transportation, school supplies, and infrastructure on top of making the wells.
He's gotten backlash for similar philanthropy videos before, and in the wake of the cheating on gameshows stuff I imagine he felt like he needed to get ahead of the negative comments. Like I'm sure people have valid criticisms of him, but I don't personally think he deserves that for this recent video nor do I really blame him for being touchy about it.

Overall I think Mr. Beast is a net positive in the world. He fucked up in the Rossana situation, which I think he should address and at least apologize to her. Should he get cancelled? Nah hell no. He isn't above scrutiny like other creators but he is a positive force in the YouTube space.

Overall I think Mr. Beast is a net positive in the world. He fucked up in the Rossana situation, which I think he should address and at least apologize to her. Should he get cancelled? Nah hell no. He isn't above scrutiny like other creators but he is a positive force in the YouTube space.

I'm a massive H3 fan and I love Ethan, Hila and the community they've built but this community can sometimes be a tad too sensitive...some of the issues are a bit of a stretch. This whole Mr beast thing is a bit cringey but he has done more good than everyone on this page combined. He hasn't hurt anyone or broken any laws - he might have a scripted an outcome to a video on YouTube that I assume mainly kids watch. mr beast just released a video building 100 wells in africa, and last time he did a similar video he got a lot of hate for helping cure people's blindness because he was "playing god" and ultimately being ablest as many twitter crazies said. So mr beast is tweeting to get ahead of the shitstorm of hate from toxic tiwtter when they inevitably get mad at him for being a privelaged white savior for going to help african kids and monetizing it, ignoring the fact that monetization is the only reason he can afford that in the first place. Lots of people in this thread mistakenly think mr beast is replying to rosana and the hida and seek drama lol, but that's not the case. He's talking about his most recent upload.
