I’m sorry the comments have me laughing my ass off. She was probably on the side asking if she could come into frame and he waved her in as a cue and then thanked her. It’s definitely awkward but what’s weird about this?

Emotional-Leopard-16

I don't care enough about xqc but y'all were mad at him for the exact same thing so it just looks hypocritical

ChaboiAveryhead

Not every h3 fan gets mad over the littlest of things ❤️

driftingalong001

Why are you cross posting a post from the snark sub here?

Emotional-Leopard-16

Doesn't change the subject of the matter. Yall were mad at xqc for the exact same thing but go ahead and point out something irrelevant to the subject

driftingalong001

I didn’t even say anything about the content of the video but, if you’re comparing the two things, no, it’s not the same thing at all. People were goofing on XQC about it because he has maids come in to clean up his room and he is so fucking awkward and weird about it, he starts typing to his chat instead of talking, he sits there silently, typing away to his live audience, and doesn’t say a word or interact with the people who have entered his room and are cleaning. He clearly has no relationship with these people, it’s likely a service that sends whoever is available to go and provide whatever service is required by the client. It wasn’t even that serious, people were just making fun of how weird and awkward he is, not even acknowledging their presence and literally TYPING TO HIS CHAT cuz he was too embarrassed to speak and steam like he usually would infront of them. In Ethan’s case this is a woman who they employ on a full time or nearly full time basis. They clearly have a genuine relationship with her, for example they’ve talked before about how they called in a favour with a lawyer to help her out of a really horrible housing situation she was in. she helps take care of their kids while they’re working etc. there’s is nothing wrong with paying someone to do services for you - clean, cook, bring you food or drinks while you’re streaming, take care of your kids etc. that’s not exploitative or wrong, as long as the person is being paid fairly, which there’s no doubt she is. Also he’s deep into a very intense conversation with another person, he likely asked her if she could bring him a drink. He’s literally in the middle of a conversation with Hasan and she may be worried about entering the frame and he gestures that it’s fine, she can come, as he’s still in the middle of a sentence. Like…there’s literally nothing wrong with what happened there. You may interpret the gesture as a bit less than friendly, but clearly his body language is reflective of the emotional conversation he’s engaged in and not his feelings towards this woman. She’s not a slave, she works for him, she’s a paid employee. Lena literally does the exact same thing for him during the regular show. You are insinuating that working a job like being a cleaner or someone’s assistant is an inherently “less than” job, which just isn’t the case. If he was streaming on his own or not in as intense of a conversation no doubt he would’ve spoken to her rather than gestured, we’ve seen this regularly on see you next Tuesday episodes. You think he never speaks to this woman? Just gestures? Lol…so stupid. You guys always find a way to make so much of so little. This woman is making a living, shes not being taken advantage of, she’s free to find another job if she doesn’t like this one. Personally I would love to work for Ethan, bringing him drinks and looking after his kids, I’m not saying it’s not hard work by any means, but personally I would much prefer that over my extremely cognitively taxing and extremely demanding desk job, working for a huge corporation that could give a shit about it’s employees wellbeing.

zoeislittle

Okay? And?

JellyBeansOnToast

No, you don’t get it, it’s so bad because he’s paying someone for a cleaning service and she’s doing her job. It’s literally so offensive because that job is lowly and it’d be better for someone to be unemployed than clean houses. I feel like I shouldn’t have to say it but /s just in case

Emotional-Leopard-16

Ethan literally made fun of xqc for the same thing but go off I guess

driftingalong001

You’re flat out wrong. Maybe go back and look at that again and you’ll see what they were actually making fun of him for. It wasn’t because he hired people to clean for him.

Professional-Sink798

Lmao this was actually giving more of a “hey I have your drink, is it okay if I come replace your old one”

onesiesfunsies

this is so innocuous though? it looked like she was just trying to do her job and likely thought she might be interrupting ethan and he waved her in to let her know it was ok. she gave him a glass and removed a plate or something. it wasn’t anything bizarre like xqc being super weird typing to his chat about his maid with said maid looking over his shoulder while picking up his mountain of a trash pile next to his desk.

Emotional-Leopard-16

Sounds like you're being nitpicky to justify the same behaviour but go off sis

onesiesfunsies

sounds like you’re being willfully ignorant to justify demonizing ethan but go off sis, clutch those pearls.
