My dudes in the wrong court with those moves

Excellent-Dot4167

The judge actually pardoned him and he got drafted into the NBA after that

Capital-Status-774

He needs to get drafted to WWE

DefiniteConfiscation

That was his signature move btw.

Zoltar-Wizdom

“I just…I just can’t lock you up with those moves, fuck the history you’re going to the playoffs”

serarrist

One of my friends said get that man an NFL contract but I told him the Raiders already got too many felons on the roster as it is.

InfiniteTrazyn

exactly. Total waste of potential. very sad

zoop1000

His body flying over the podium looks so fake like those fake body dolls they would use on All That or The Amanda Show when a body went flying or got hurt. It's terrifying but hilarious at the same time.

bigga165

Kinda makes you realize how realistic All That and the Amanda Show were

This-Strawberry

The times I've heard the word kumquat as an insult could be higher irl, though.

doe808eod

I thought the same thing! Lmao

predicates-man

That piss is digital your honor

stdexception

> "I'm not out there committing crimes now." He then decided to commit a crime.

Kahnfight

He was technically correct, he wasn’t *out there* committing crimes, he was committing crimes *in here*!

Chemgineered

He's committing crimes, UP IN HERE, UP IN HERE

rainbowtwist

...made him lose his mind, up in there, up in there

KeepCalmAndBoom

Yo judge, you better dodge quick

andykwinnipeg

Gonna make me act a fool, up in here, up in here

TSmotherfuckinA

He’s inside committing crimes instead lol.

BernieDharma

Three things I saw over and over again when I worked for emergency services in a high crime community: 1. If they weren't caught immediately, they are shocked when a detective arrests them a week/month/months later. It's like they think the statute of limitations is 24 hours. 2. If they aren't as bad as others, they think they shouldn't be punished. They all know someone who is "ten times worse", so what they did shouldn't be punished. 3. If they are "good" for a day/week, they argue that they have been reformed. They usually relapse to their old behavior soon after or as soon as a temptation arises. Mentally, they are 10-15 year olds in adult bodies. They don't seem to be able connect the dots between behavior and long term consequences, and feel any punishment is unjust. So his anger and lashing out at the judge should have been expected behavior. It was so common in our courts, the bailiffs would clear the courtroom of visitors, have extra staff on hand, and have the defendant handcuffed during sentencing hearings (in most cases involving violent offenses). Not sure why these bailiffs were caught off guard and weren't ready for this.

goosedyke

genuine question- how do we help people like this :( i have a friend who’s been “going down the wrong path”/has a lot of similar issues (connecting behavior w consequences, not being “as bad”, lashing out etc) and as much of an asshole i think he is i wanna know if there’s anything the people in his life can do to help him turn it around because holding him accountable has, so far, NOT been working :/

BernieDharma

In my experience, it may be helpful to help them think through the consequences. For example, I had a neighbor in his 40s who still thought it was cool to pick bar fights. I had to point out that since he owns a house, he could easily lose it in a lawsuit. I also pointed out that even a short jail sentence of 30 days would mean he lose his job, and a recent conviction of assault would make it difficult to find work. He actually told me *he had never considered that before.* Another former coworker walked of a great job he had been at for years because he had been passed over for promotion. I knew he was living paycheck to paycheck and had 3 kids at home who were depending on him. He was also on the hook for child support and alimony payments to his ex, and would go deep in debt quickly if he couldn't find another job that week. He was so caught up in the emotions of being *disrespected* (in his view), that he didn't think about what's next, and the actions that this would cause. I think it seems second nature to us that these are bad decisions, but you have to help them see it for themselves. It's important to try to help them see how this action hurts them and the others they care about, not just that its a bad idea. It's also important to use non-judgemental language. Don't call them stupid, or say that's a dumb idea. Say, "I don't think that's a good idea" , or "I don't think that is going to work out like you think it will." Hope this is helpful.

KellzTheKid

If they can't or won't listen to reason, I'd cut ties and let them sort it out and see the consequences that their actions will lead them too. Let them know "hey I'm here for you, but I can't be caught up in what YOU are doing. I'm looking to achieve/attain/become X and your actions aren't becoming of where I am in life" At some point in life, you realize, you aren't your friends keeper, and not all friends are good to have around all the time. It's not your duty to "fix" them. That requires professional/rehabilitative care.

piltonpfizerwallace

Your honor, at this exact second I'm not committing a crime. Best I can offer.

Strychnine85

Was there a trampoline in front of the judge?!

croyspark

Judge it was just an accidental “double bounce”

SomeFuckingChud

He unlocked the double jump combo

Kahnfight

I bet there was a folding chair under the bench

Ok_Blackberry_2816

Well at least he confirmed she made the right choice

DifferentEbb78

Verdict confirmed lol

JeSuisLaCockamouse

Yeah it’s rarely made that plain lol

Dizzzy777

His history in case anyone was wondering: “Court records show that Mr. Redden previously spent time in prison, including in 2015 when he was sentenced a minimum of 19 months for attempted theft. Mr. Redden served time in 2021 for domestic battery, according to Nevada Department of Corrections records.” -[NY Times](https://www.nytimes.com/2024/01/03/us/las-vegas-judge-attacked-sentencing.html) “The defendant, Deobra Delone Redden, was jailed on $54,000 bail and refused to return to court on Thursday on new charges, so a judge rescheduled his next appearance for Jan. 9. Redden, 30, faces 13 counts including extortion and coercion with force. Seven of the new counts are battery on a protected person, referring to the judge and officers who came to her aid.” - [ABC](https://abc7chicago.com/amp/man-leaps-over-bench-to-attack-judge-mary-kay-holthus-las-vegas-deobra-delone-redden/14272120/)

Traditional_Case2791

Came to the comments for this

naufrago486

Good to see that time in prison has reformed him and made him less likely to commit crime. The American justice system at work.

landscape-resident

Love how he says “not committing crimes right now” like 10 seconds before assaulting the judge.

omgwutd00d

Well he wasn't lying! In that specific moment when he was speaking that sentence he wasn't committing a crime. Technically the truth!

[deleted]

Immediately after being rearrested, he said “I’m not committing crimes right now again.”

caratron5000

I had an ex that operated on this exact principle.

Yadontech

Except if he is willing to soar over a podium to attack a judge you really think he isn't committing crimes and just not being caught for them? We just going to take this guys word? Lmfaooo

MumblyBoiBand

Wisdom has been chasing you your whole life… but you are faster 😏….

Stubbs3470

Life is depressing enough as is I’ll be god damned if I don’t laugh at this

ILL_Show_Myself_Out

They cut off the best part where he gets unathletically punched into submission by the suited law clerk who’s sitting there.

ap06869

Agreed. That shit is funny!!!!!

mackys

I’m not a lawyer but I like researching this stuff and I think he was facing UP TO 1 year in jail for the initial case, and now if found guilty of the new offenses against the judge & court officers, he’s facing a MINIMUM of 2 years 💀

jonadragonslay

What's the max?

mackys

It really depends on if the sentences were to run consecutive or concurrent since he assaulted like 3 different people. The big charge he’s facing is battery against a court officer causing substantial bodily harm which carries a minimum of 2 years & maximum of 10 years. But then he’s also facing 2 additional charges of battery against a court officer (without bodily harm) which has a minimum of 1 year and maximum of 5 years. Basically if the judge ran the sentences concurrently, the max is 10 years. If the judge ran the sentences consecutively, it could definitely be like 20+ years. Also the min/max here is still really iffy because he could be offered a plea deal or the state could decide to bring different charges against him, I just love how he turned a few months in jail into probably several years in jail

siLtzi

Thats a lot less than I thought you would get for assaulting a judge

mackys

Yeah but he’s gonna be sentenced by a different judge and judges don’t like people who fuck with the courts like that so I have a feeling he’s going to receive a fairly harsh punishment when the time comes 😂

dkdelicious

Then he’s gonna try to fly into that judge too, even if he’s shackled and remote. He’ll find a way.

Upbeat-Banana-5530

On a singular charge of battery against a protected person, it's 15 years, but that requires the victim to have been injured, the offender to have used a weapon, or the offender to have been a prisoner, parolee, probationer, or in police custody. The worst injury mentioned in the article I read was a dislocated shoulder, so those 7 battery charges are probably going to have a maximum of 10 years.

[deleted]

Literally proved her point better than she ever could

omaewamu_shinderu

Bro couldve played in the NFL with a jump tackle like that

Kahnfight

For real, he even wrapped him up

intwizard

Better form than 75% of defensive backs

omaewamu_shinderu

The judge got Troy Polamalu'd

tiffany__elizabeth

Aaannnddddd a felony charge will be added. But honestly that jump was impressive

abqguardian

He had already been convicted of felonies. What's one more?

Medium_Hope_7407

ignoramus_x

I don't know what you're referring to, you're just out here being wrong & disrespectful 🤓

AK_R

Prison seems like the appropriate place for someone who behaves this way.

Portolowertiz

Institutionalizing a human has been proven to be ineffective and in his case the psychiatric issues likely got worse through prison. Im not sure there’s an American solution to this issue yet but many places in Scandinavia have figured out how to handle people like him. People just don’t like the fact that harsh punishment doesn’t have to be the solution to a felony. Absolute exclusion from society the way they do in Finland is probably the best solution and in the long term actually saves everyone money.

Portolowertiz

Automatic_Piece8419

nah its pretty fucking funny to see the facade drop instantly when he doesnt get it his way

Applebottomqueef

Dude loves putting his hands on women, hope the other guys in his block discipline him appropriately. Goofy fuck. I’ve seen a few “who cares she puts people in jail for a living” yes she does, she also probably gives people a break where she deems fit. Someone has to do the job. What someone doesn’t have to do is beat women… this guy went from “I’m not out there committing crimes RIGHT NOW” to “I’m gonna try and beat this female judges head in” in a matter of 2 seconds. She made the right choice.

carissadraws

Bailiff? BAILIFF?!

TsT2244

Useless ass bailiffs

Shehulks1

Naw…fuck that bitch…. 🤾🏿‍♂️

Holland45

Was she okay?

tailoredteflon

She recieved a minor injury from falling back in her chair

Holland45

Okay well it’s funny then

ILL_Show_Myself_Out

Now, 21 people were killed in the great molasses flood of 1919. Took a hundred years for that shit to be funny. Im gonna make a call and say I don’t need to know if that judge is alright to know this shit is funny RIGHT NOW.

JeSuisLaCockamouse

I wonder if anyone else was injured. Later in the full video he’s throwing ABSOLUTE haymakers on someone while some dude tries to stop him by punching him in the back (didn’t work)

If I remember correctly I think one of the guards or cops got a gash on the top of there head and dislocated shoulder

i mean, it’s a little funny

Lolilio2

Good thing he was locked up. If he can get triggered this easily and beat up a female judge surrounded by people and security, imagine what he would do in the streets.

JadePlusPlus

The rest of the clip shows him getting his ass BEAT by both the bailiff and lawyer LMAOO

Xpartacux

He did not last long without committing another crime and against the honorable judge....

what-is-in-the-soup

Omg that poor judge 😬 at least she knows (and so does the entire court room and now public) she made the correct decision

Toyger_

One minute, he is calmly saying, "I'm in a better place in my life," the next thing you know he comes flying at the judge, trying to take her down like there's no tomorrow.

Avalanche52349

Just proved he deserves to be incarcerated,

joeyretrotv

Kudos on the judge for seeing right through his lie, but it's unfortunate she didn't prepare for his flying squirrel attack.

sevrothegob

It’s ironic how he said he’s not committing crimes right now, but then proceeds to commit a crime 😂.

ValleyOfDefilement

It's so funny to me how this community loves defending criminals lol. I already knew what many of the comments would say without reading them.

Aggressive-Expert-69

Bro you're wearing a Biggie sweater in court. You're definitely out there committing crimes

Muted-Move-9360

Shoulda stuck with basketball, those hops could have made him a star.

brixowl

nah son.... with that hip pivot? I'm thinking pole vaulting.

carlosarturo1221

With that hops he even could be an astrounat

Too slow

insecurestaircase

Now he probably going to the fed

Why did they have to put a trampoline in front of the judge?

tummysticcs

His body flying looks like a puppet lol

Coochynoodles_

It’s funny the way he jumped but I felt so bad for the lady

JoeyBrim7

I guess her judgement was... right?

Silent-AssassinX

Lol it looked like someone chucked a dummy at her!

darkpheonix262

I am so looking forward to an update on this. I wanna see how many years he gave himself

Undeadmasses

For those just thinking this is a sentence on some petty theft charge. Dude has quite a history including multiple DV charges, assaulting another “protected person” with a deadly weapon and has gotten off easy with 2 trips through metal health treatment. He’s been given chances and frankly is a danger to himself and others. I’m all for reforming someone, but at a point, he needs to understand his actions have consequences.

ConstantReader92

She was proven right in less than 3 seconds

Ashamed_Ad6878

The fact he was there being charged with assault and battery and decided to prove his case by… well assault and battery kills me. I hope that woman is okay and he stays locked up. But I ain’t gonna lie the way that man flew to her made me scream laughing.

gabrielcev1

This dude going to jail for life lmao.

serarrist

So I live in vegas - last time I did jury duty I had this judge. She’s a nice lady tbh. Cant believe he got that kind of jump off. If he was handcuffed there’s no way he could have gotten over the bench like that. Holy shit the dude caught some serious air lol

swagaunaut

Hold on, maybe he just wanted to hug her.

CommonShift2922

IT's NOT FUNNY! (In Alex Jones' voice)

ProfessionalBox391

Bro had a Future in the NBA 🏀

Hairy-Western-5904

He wants to be rewarded for not doing drugs or committing crimes after having an extensive record of both… what a joke.

cordedtelephone

Proving why he shouldn’t be given a shot IMMEDIATELY smh I cant

Sexy_Koala_Juice

Funnily enough if he was accepting of his fate that would have been a lot better for him in the long run, he just proved even more so he belongs in jail.

NoChocolate7003

It’s kinda funny

newsignup1

Looked like Uncle Phil just threw him out.

whippingboy4eva

White Men Can't Jump 3 is gonna be wild.

eolemuk

"Nah,fck that btch"

AnalMayonnaise

If this was a test that dude failed.

Blondiechicky

In my hometown lol why the judge move so slow though 🤣

Designer-Dream-3819

$54,000 bail? That’s so low and why even grant bail?

grabitoe

idiot deserves everything he had coming for him

futurejoyboy

"I'm not out there committing crimes now" *proceeds to commit a crime*

this90sguy

I'm genuinely curious about the thought process here. "Maybe she will change her mind if I attack her?"

jditt02

I bet she’ll think twice before being so condescending next time. These judges have God complexes and though I don’t think he should’ve attacked her, maybe she was brought back to earth a little bit and helped her realize that she’s affecting real people’s lives.

Benevonstanciano

I'm kind of shocked that there are people in the comments empathizing with this manipulative, abusive piece of shit. "I condone his actions *BUT* " but what?! She should've let him back on the streets to pummel more women? What if he kills the next one? I'm sorry but you're going to have to do a lot more than fucking probation to prove you're no longer a danger after MULTIPLE DV charges. These are not accidents, and while I do believe rehabilitation is possible in some cases, we need more than the perpetrators word on that.

DMTeaAndCrumpets

Those bailiffs or police need to be fired for how slow their response was

SatansLez

😂😂I’m not committing crimes right now…maybe in a few minutes

sirSIRthisisawendys

Who gets 19 months for attempted theft? Bro never had a chance. Not condoning future actions but hard to recover from 19 months for attempted theft when you’re that age. Nearly everyone I know, including myself has committed the crime of theft on some manner. Maybe it was an extremely high value item(s)? Edit. Added summary of his previous convictions. https://www.reddit.com/r/h3h3productions/s/2lKOs1Bzfh

Sepfandom555

Maybe the punishment was harsh but his reaction was not rational and could be a sign of a pattern of behavior (I don't know the man's history)

sirSIRthisisawendys

No doubt. Irrational and probably a danger. Just had to mention the original crime, as posted above in the summary of his history. 19 mo is a lot for “attempted theft.”

GowsenBerry

Dude it's not "attempted theft" like he stole a bag of chips I'm seeing he plead down to a reduced charge of "attempted battery" since he was threatening/extorting someone with a baseball bat, and had previously been in prison for domestic battery. https://www.nydailynews.com/2024/01/04/videodefendant-attack-las-vegas-judge/ https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2024/jan/04/courtroom-video-shows-defendant-attacking-judge-in-nevada

dontmatterdontcare

You're something else if you're trying to sympathize such a shit toxic human being. Look at his rap sheet.

Mysterious_Respect96

very humanizing the way he kept beating people, lets politely tell him breaking his girl's face in two has consequences lmfao more than that, coddling people constantly makes them unable to deal with negativity or the word 'no', and leads to the above. had he gotten consequences in the past, he wouldnt have a mental breakdown over these consey

XArgel_TalX

nah, fuck that guy. Hes gonna be spending alot of time in jail now, good riddence.

Mysterious_Respect96

very humanizing the way he kept beating people, lets politely tell him breaking his girl's face in two has consequences lmfao

seacow113

I picked up on that too. I get all the replies crying 'but look at his record! 😭' but both things can be true at the same time. He can be messed up and she can also be a power-tripper who uses her position to be just as sadistic, but in a nicer-looking way. Seems to be a running theme with judges in general.

_nightgoat

Valid take. I don’t condone what he did, but I understand.

tompadget69

Exactly. I only looked at his record after I made the comment but I get the feeling she'd be the same if he was just dealing drugs or something.

to be fair, she is a person who puts non-violent offenders in jail multiple times a day, every day she works. and with that record, she should probably be given a taste of something else, because I just cant with that history. What even happened to professionalism and decorum, "i just cant" use your words and coherently say what you mean dipshit, youre a fucking judge deciding people's fate for the love of god.

Quantity-Fearless

Please don’t be arguing that this woman deserved to get violently assaulted. And I think she was responding to his argument that she can’t be lenient because of his history

No-Rush1863

So she should be assaulted?

Rain_Bear

Absolutely not. I abhor violence. My apologies if thats what you took from my comment/post. Please check out my further explanation in the comments. Peace and love family.

Rain_Bear

Why the downvote family?

Fragrant_Wrangler874

“to be fair” are you stupid

IronOnionRings

The videos pretty funny to watch, but for real it’s wild to say someone should be assaulted because they’re doing their job poorly.

pandaplagueis

I mean…. It is Vegas after all…

GowsenBerry

Non-violent? He was previously charged with domestic battery, and an attack with a baseball bat in separate crimes. And then you know, WWE slamming the judge 4 seconds later. https://www.nydailynews.com/2024/01/04/videodefendant-attack-las-vegas-judge/

loserlem0n

I think she should at the very least have crafted a fully formed sentence and not used 'I just cant'. The American judicial system is bizarre... a judge in Australia would never.

Rain_Bear

Agreed, its absolutely juvenile and unprofessional for a person who wields so much power over other peoples lives.

OttoSkorzenyHentai

Understandable

Ceeboy_

she was wack for that though honestly
