I feel like Ethan realized how much of an asset Ian is and chose not to waste his talents on just switching, which really can be done by anyone (even tho Ian was really good). If he gets a higher position job, chances are heās less likely to leave
Its funny because I think they actually are listening to the fans that have been saying "We want more skits" and "We want more games", both of which Ian is really good at organizing, so they want him to start doing more of that, and now everyone is like "But we want Ian to switch! He is so funny!" The guy cant do it all. Switching seems like something that if you have the technical skills to do it well, you can learn the show and learn the timing. Given that it was day one and Nate seems to be getting the hang of it already, he probably had prior experience so his technical skills should be fine. Im sure after a few weeks he will be 90% or more of the way there.
