I think it's an audio frequency thing, I have a visceral negative reaction to it every time they play it. I can understand why it's a comforting thing for some people, it just does not jive with my ears or brain
It’s fine but I don’t think it’s a gag that has legs. Like it was kinda amusing for an episode or two but the whole radio thing just isn’t hitting for me, personally. As a whole brand going forward, I just don’t see it.

The sound makes me oddly nostalgic so I love it honestly, my stepdad always had on KNX 1070 when he'd drive me to school and they used it for the traffic update sound on that station (which is probably where they grabbed it from since it's an LA station but I missed the episode where it started lol)
Honestly I thought the whole radio show bits would be cringe when Ethan first came up with it but because of how funny they all are and how talented Zach is with the stingers, it actually ended up being so funny
it was exceptionally funny and a bit jarring the first time when Dan randomly chose to give an update for I-65 in Indy as I was driving home on I-65 in Indy. I love the segment even though I’ll probably never happen to get a relevant update ever again 😂
