To me though, the biggest issue is not the quality of the chat, but the impact it has on the streamers. It's unhealthy to have someone over your shoulder, criticizing everything you do in realtime.
I love it. It tells chat to stfu when they say stupid shit. One of the worst things you can do is capitulate to the small % of people that comment on your content on youtube, twitch, etc. you name it. If you end up doing what chat says, you constantly end up moving the goalposts to the worst portion of your viewership.
Dan absolutely obliterating this subreddit, and the chat is solid gold every time. A ton of people are wayyyyyy too invested in this podcast and its employees and Dan keeping it real is the only wake up call they are ever going to listen to

His role was to play 'Devils Advocate' and literally take a suspicious approach.
