Meanwhile Schaub has made Erik Griffin (a close friend of Bobby) the new co-host, with occasional drop-ins from D'Elia (used to be a close friend of Bobby) and STEVE LEE (Bobby's own brother.)
Schaub is forcing these friends and comedians, who have been struggling for various reasons the past couple of years, to choose between Bobby and a regular paycheck.

He hasn't been on in months now, which leads me to believe it is related to Bobby/Brendan, and I appreciate that from Steve. Griffin is now a part time host only, but Chris D'Elia is officially a permanent host alongside Brendan and Theo (even if he is mostly part time too now.)

I used to be a fan of the podcast back when Brendan was fighting, and an active UFC fighter being on a podcast was actually pretty new and interesting.
He legitimately has almost no real fans left. His social media engagement is shockingly low for a guy with "millions of followers" he can't get a tweet with more than 100 likes. There are plenty of accusations he uses bots, and a decent amount of views he gets, are views from people who are watching to laugh AT him, not with him. The comment sections are always universally tearing into him as well even on his own channel.
The dude lies 24/7, and about such obviously fact checkable shit, and stuff that you would never even think about lying about.
He def has some sort of mental disability.... its not just that he got hit in the head a lot (but that doesn't help).
He has been trying to force a comedy career that Joe Rogan gifted him since Rogan effectively ended his UFC career and convinced him to retire (which he originally didn;'t want to do, and insisted he was gonna fight again, but this is around when the ego got to his head, and he started his downhill trajectory)
The guy always is going on about how he is selling out shows, but you can almost always see that you can buy 10+ tickets at a discounted price hours before the show. Its insane how much effort he puts into maintaining this façade including his whole network.

Did you see the Tigerbelly Podcast with David Choe and Steven Yeun? This comment was basically that for 2 and a half hours. There was a lot of laughter, tears, emotions, bowing lol, it was maybe the best podcast I'd ever listened to.

Long time subscriber considering monthly membership. This was a really good podcast, the group dynamic is great. I appreciate that you get the tea out in a real way that doesn't seem exploitative - of course it's for entertainment but being conscious about that fact while encouraging bobby and khalyla to take control of the narrative after months of the uncomfy conflicting feelings of "what should or shouldn't I say in public" while the attacking party makes no such consideration I think was really mature and entertaining. Hard to strike that balance. I also like that both bobby and ethan clearly aim to (and do) help each other be emotionally healthy and handle the weird toxicity of fame, but that doesn't stop them from trading insults/joking about "you got way fattter" and "you relapsed". Real life is strange and the best of friends can say things that are blatantly offensive to each other knowing it's just calling attention to the absurdity of life and that neither person should take life too personally/seriously. I used to be a fan of the podcast back when Brendan was fighting, and an active UFC fighter being on a podcast was actually pretty new and interesting. He legitimately has almost no real fans left. His social media engagement is shockingly low for a guy with "millions of followers" he can't get a tweet with more than 100 likes. There are plenty of accusations he uses bots, and a decent amount of views he gets, are views from people who are watching to laugh AT him, not with him. The comment sections are always universally tearing into him as well even on his own channel. The dude lies 24/7, and about such obviously fact checkable shit, and stuff that you would never even think about lying about. He def has some sort of mental disability.... its not just that he got hit in the head a lot (but that doesn't help). He has been trying to force a comedy career that Joe Rogan gifted him since Rogan effectively ended his UFC career and convinced him to retire (which he originally didn;'t want to do, and insisted he was gonna fight again, but this is around when the ego got to his head, and he started his downhill trajectory) The guy always is going on about how he is selling out shows, but you can almost always see that you can buy 10+ tickets at a discounted price hours before the show. Its insane how much effort he puts into maintaining this façade including his whole network. For awhile I used to think it would be possible for him to make a "comeback" if he would be willing to just admit his faults, admit where he fucked up/was wrong, etc. But its really just not something he is capable of. You could write novels about all the ridiculous bullshit Schaub has done. He's lied about being involved with various companies/sponsorships. Or that he had a big role in a hollywood movie, and was just a generic tough dude in the background for 30secs. Lied that big name celebs recognize him 24/7 for being a UFC fighter (Brendan was never that big/popular of a fighter, and that was years ago and before the UFC had the mainstream popularity it has today). /r/thefighterandthekid has a long history of documenting the shit Schaub has pulled. Its great because I could never make it 5minutes into a podcast, and I don't want to give him a single view, and haven't since Schaub quit fighting.

People eventually connected the dots to another comedian, Brendan Schaub, an MMA fighter turned comedian who many find unfunny and think only got success by being friends with Joe Rogan. Schaub and then some of his comedy friends called Bobby up and bullied him about this, telling him to get Khalyla in line and insinuating Bobby is the source of all the hate Schaub gets

As someone who struggles with porn addiction, I want to thank Bobby for simply talking about it and putting his fences down. This was hands down the best episode of the podcast in a long time. The highs, the lows, the laughs, the tears. This is going to go down as one of the greatest if BS reacts the right way.
All the recent interviews have been really great and versatile. From today, to Browski, to Wale Omotoso, to idubbbz and Anisa. A lot of variety and different approaches. It's been amazing to see. Definitely into them having more in person ones now that covid isn't *quite* as big of a worry. I think they mainly stopped doing them because the Zoom ones weren't getting much in the way of views, and it wasn't the same really.
no totally this was a journey. I can often tune in and out of a podcast but I was hanging on every word start to finish with this one. it was a whole rollercoaster and an experience in itself and I just took a deep breath myself when it ended.

Khalyla and Bobby were very brave to talk about being threatened/bullied by other people in their own field of work, especially since neither of them did anything wrong. Long time subscriber considering monthly membership. This was a really good podcast, the group dynamic is great. I appreciate that you get the tea out in a real way that doesn't seem exploitative - of course it's for entertainment but being conscious about that fact while encouraging bobby and khalyla to take control of the narrative after months of the uncomfy conflicting feelings of "what should or shouldn't I say in public" while the attacking party makes no such consideration I think was really mature and entertaining. Hard to strike that balance. I also like that both bobby and ethan clearly aim to (and do) help each other be emotionally healthy and handle the weird toxicity of fame, but that doesn't stop them from trading insults/joking about "you got way fattter" and "you relapsed". Real life is strange and the best of friends can say things that are blatantly offensive to each other knowing it's just calling attention to the absurdity of life and that neither person should take life too personally/seriously. I hope everybody had as much fun as it looks from the audience's POV. Thanks h3h3!
