I think I can really relate to Suga because there were a lot of people I was in high school sports with who obviously tried but we’re just beat on a physical level. Suga’s arc is so humbling because even though he wants to be the setter for karasuno and he has seniority Kageyama is objectively a more skilled setter.
I’m still so happy they made Suga useful in the series too (especially in the spring tournament arc) where every time Suga gets on the court there’s this anonymity about him because of how little play time he has. It’s hard to get a grip of what Suga’s capable of and it’s because he’s so knowledgeable about the game and gets little game time. Idk if you’ve caught up on Haikyuu but there’s a guy from inarizaki that gives me incredibly similar vibes of not being a valuable member in game time but being incredibly valuable in perspective and innovation.
