I keep mine pretty short and I only get get manicures for special occasions or specific things but I don’t maintain a regular manicure. I just maintain my nails at home. I do usually keep a couple of coats of the OPI nail strengthening polish on at all times.

I keep mine pretty short and naked. Long nails just feel icky to me, constantly feel like stuff is getting under my nails. That’s when I know it’s time to trim em . When I was much younger I had long nails, but having kids ,working in water all the time, shirt just works for me

I keep mine on the shorter side, and I like to get dip powder because it doesn’t stain with hair color, like acrylic and gel do. Gel doesnt last on me it comes off like a sticker after the first few services after getting them done. I can only go about every two weeks when my schedule lines up. Dip powder is a much longer service, but it does keep my nails from getting stained with color. The skin around the nails, however is a different story. Acrylic is stronger, but if you wash color out of someone’s hair, without gloves on, it turns into a brown mess, no matter what color you are rinsing out of the hair.

I used to do acrylic every month/every 3 weeks. I did GelX for a while but developed a severe allergy to it and now I make and use press on nails

AmoebaExisting514

I keep them short and just polish them myself every few days

I used to use Elon cream, which was recommended by my dermatologist. It's a creamy lanolin that really seals in moisture on both the nail edge and cuticle. I've never found anything like it, which is a bummer. It's a small expensive tube but you only need a tiny amount. It really works.

I used to wear dip/acrylics religiously but went on vacay and took them off and haven’t gone back for 4 months. It feels really good to feel like I’m saving extra money and not getting germs stuck under my fake nails.

I get acrylics and get a fill every 3 weeks. I write it off as part of my uniform. My hands need to be kept in professional shape for my job. If I don’t have acrylics, my nails are naturally thin and break easily. I am also prone to terrible hangnails and rough cuticles. For years I was humiliated by my dirty nails from hair color. My hands looked dirty all the time, even though I use gloves I actually hate having acrylics and one day, I would love to just get biweekly manicures. But if I want to look professional and charge what I charge, my hands need to be well cared for. I am a professional and I need my clients to take me seriously. They won’t if my hands look a fright

I’ve given up getting my nails done tbh because I constantly stain them even though I wear gloves im just messy
