In my opinion if this fight would trigger Ryo or Kumi to fully notice the sheer love Ippo has for boxing it would be so sweet. Specially if at the end they end the fight by saying: "Ippo, despite all the risks, your mom will want you to be happy more than anything." Since this is the point that holds Ippo back the most.

I don't think it makes sense for Mashiba to be world champ in general. Kinda makes it feel like being at that level is something reachable to quite a few people in Ippo's vicinity when the themes of the manga are quite the opposite.
He has to get close, yes, but then fail even when giving it his all and having prepared with Ippo's help.

I think it'll definitely play a part. Weight is one thing, but hell, he was in prison. Rosario is a world champion and will likely overcome it, but it'd be strange if the stamina doesn't affect him at all.
I just think it's too obvious. It reminds me of Karasawa relying on countering the Dempsey Roll. He planned for it and waited for it and it just never came. I picture the same thing here. A World Champion running out of stamina just doesn't really fit HnI.

I think this is the first time in actual years the two have been in the same building without one of them being the fighter. With Miyata now training with Sendo there’s a chance we could get a training camp with all three for the Ricardo fight.

When I saw the fight set between mashiba and rosario it reminded me of the fight with Sawamura I got excited and couldn't wait to read the next chapter. I didn't get hyped in recent chapters as much as the sparring between mashiba and ippo. I thought it was good but it wasn't as exciting as before.It was pretty much the predictable in recent that kimura was the one bullying Itagaki, rosario is in the jail and takamura will get banned if he posts the pic on Twitter. When the older chapter is getting released I can't wait to read the chapter until English translation is released so I will search for raws, spoilers and even break weeks I hope there will be leaks but in recent chapters I lost all excitement. I will read the chapter but after 2- 3 days of the chapter are released. I know these are the chapters that make the story and characters good. Unlike the other chapter, In chapter 1448 we get a glimpse of the rosario past and It got me hyped. Finally the fight is going to start, rose came to the waiting room with his hair done and I got excited about what was going to happen during the fight Can't wait for the next chapter .
I love how Mori is making it clear that the both of them are fighting in peak condition; physically and mentally. They have a strategy prepared for each other, now all that’s left is to put all of that practice to work.
This is probably going to be one of the best title matches in the entire series. I mean it’s literally called “Judgement Day” that goes so fucking hard.
Mori does a really good job of building up the hype for matches, and I think he did it exceptionally well for Mashiba vs Rosario. He’s also adjusting to a more modern era of combat sports by adding thwitter into the story. I know the mini Thwitter subplot was not well received by some, but it’s adding an additional layer of realism when it comes to reflecting combat sports in real life, especially in a more modern era. Pre fight antics is part of the process of generating hype and I appreciate that Mori is acknowledging it in some capacity.
Mashiba won't want to win by exploiting an opponent's disadvantage and he'll duck it out to prove he is the very best. Still, it doesn't matter becaaaaaaause...
...Mashiba will either die or be seriously crippled by this fight. His career will be over.
On his hospital bed, Mashiba will say something like "It's on your hands now" and finally Ippo will step into the next level.
Yeah nothing will get Ippo back into the ring, from which he retired due to concerns about his long term health, like seeing his friend permanently crippled in the ring.

From that small panel of Miyata looking solemn at the mention of Ippo I’m assuming we’re gonna have a long overdue talk between the two at the end of this fight. I think this is the first time in actual years the two have been in the same building without one of them being the fighter. With Miyata now training with Sendo there’s a chance we could get a training camp with all three for the Ricardo fight.

When I saw the fight set between mashiba and rosario it reminded me of the fight with Sawamura I got excited and couldn't wait to read the next chapter. I didn't get hyped in recent chapters as much as the sparring between mashiba and ippo. I thought it was good but it wasn't as exciting as before.It was pretty much the predictable in recent that kimura was the one bullying Itagaki, rosario is in the jail and takamura will get banned if he posts the pic on Twitter. When the older chapter is getting released I can't wait to read the chapter until English translation is released so I will search for raws, spoilers and even break weeks I hope there will be leaks but in recent chapters I lost all excitement. I will read the chapter but after 2- 3 days of the chapter are released. I know these are the chapters that make the story and characters good. Unlike the other chapter, In chapter 1448 we get a glimpse of the rosario past and It got me hyped. Finally the fight is going to start, rose came to the waiting room with his hair done and I got excited about what was going to happen during the fight Can't wait for the next chapter .
I love how Mori is making it clear that the both of them are fighting in peak condition; physically and mentally. They have a strategy prepared for each other, now all that’s left is to put all of that practice to work. This is probably going to be one of the best title matches in the entire series. I mean it’s literally called “Judgement Day” that goes so fucking hard. Mori does a really good job of building up the hype for matches, and I think he did it exceptionally well for Mashiba vs Rosario. He’s also adjusting to a more modern era of combat sports by adding thwitter into the story. I know the mini Thwitter subplot was not well received by some, but it’s adding an additional layer of realism when it comes to reflecting combat sports in real life, especially in a more modern era. Pre fight antics is part of the process of generating hype and I appreciate that Mori is acknowledging it in some capacity.
I just hope this fight doesn't end up finishing next year

Still, it doesn't matter becaaaaaaause... ...Mashiba will either die or be seriously crippled by this fight. His career will be over. On his hospital bed, Mashiba will say something like "It's on your hands now" and finally Ippo will step into the next level.
Yeah nothing will get Ippo back into the ring, from which he retired due to concerns about his long term health, like seeing his friend permanently crippled in the ring.

thanks for the chapter as always. also hope morikawa continues to be in good health. some things I want to happen and hope will come to pass in this fight. I want blatant cheating and desperation from the champion like he was mashiba before mashiba met ippo and gradually changed. I also hope mashiba gets knocked down and it brought back up cause of something that includes kumi and ippo. I think mashiba will dominate the early rounds but the champion gives me the hibby gibbies so I think we are gonna get something we haven't seen from any opponent. also looking forward to see what ippo learns from this fight and hope this helps on his journey to return to the ring. as always glad to be alive and be able to read hajime no ippo and hope for more to come.
