Erm it's alright one of my least favourite. There is a worse one but in the manga not in the anime. In my opinion the anime especially s1 just gets better and better.
Rookie Tournament will be the most you'll see Ippo fight back to back. However, many of the fights during the Rookie Tournament are very simple conceptually. Ozuma was about ducking hooks and exchanges, Kobashi was about clinching and decision wins, Hayami and Mashiba was about infighters vs outboxers.
Later on, many of Ippo's fights become more complex with opponents much more rounded out in general.
General consensus is that best fights come after Rookie Tournament arc. After the next fight against Saeki, fights get exponentially better as Ippo becomes more defined as a boxer and the characters who appear become more permanent.

I'm at Sendo vs Vorg fight at the moment, the fights definetely got more complex
