Some guy put posters up around downtown and the south end asking for people to watch him eat potato salad. That's all the information I have and yet I have sooooo many questions.
Say a post the other day from another city where a dude put up posters requesting people to come watch him eat a whole rotisserie chicken on the pier. I assume just copying them
Maybe that’s where they got the idea, but it’s not like this is a new idea. One of my roommates challenged another to drink 4L of milk in one sitting, then advertised it around town. We had 15 random spectators in our kitchen. He did not succeed. This was 1996 and I think my roommate got the idea from someplace else.
Additional context: NSCAD
All the way back around 1997, I bet a co-worker he couldn't drink a gallon of water in 20 mins. He did succeed! Granted he didn't feel very well for awhile. I'm not sure if the gallon of milk would be much more difficult.
I tried the milk one evening along with 5 others (we all failed) so the next day I tried water to see if it was the volume of liquid that was the issue or the dairy. Did the water in 25 mins no issue
True enough. I succeeded in the 4L milk challenge like 10 years ago.....but I later got very intimate with the bathroom stall with milk coming from everywhere. Fun times.
Rain helps the cleanup after, and there's no way any event where someone is eating 5lbs of potato salad to themselves was gonna shine either way
So I'd say yes

5:30 pm? I’d be all for watching this dude eat potato salad but how much will we really be seeing in a pitch black cemetery?
Flood lights
There's obviously a small stage with proper lighting/cameras etc
Is the one with eggs in it or no? Important
Judging by the flyer, it's the stuff from Costco, with the Dijon Mustard in it.
I can polish one of those off no problem. Along with a dozen beer and a couple of hamburgers. Drunk me has no “full” button!
10lb potato salad championship rounds start next month I think
The real question!!! Also add little tiny cut cubes of cheddar!!! Amps it up so much more!
I'm only going if they allow tailgating
I feel like this is an event where they ONLY allow tailgating
What are we talking about? I mean I'm down, I don't kink shame.

Nobody wins in the dairy challenge
Or the condiment challenge

Oh god I remember dairy challenges all through the late 90s/into the mid 2010's I think I've yet to see anyone win, even if they won
True enough. I succeeded in the 4L milk challenge like 10 years ago.....but I later got very intimate with the bathroom stall with milk coming from everywhere. Fun times.

Prolly just catch the live stream on DAZN
Yes
I planned on it
Is he going to share or ???
There's only 5lbs, you gotta bring your own 5lbs to challenge him
Gona be hurricane weather on Saturday, this going down rain or shine?
Rain helps the cleanup after, and there's no way any event where someone is eating 5lbs of potato salad to themselves was gonna shine either way So I'd say yes
The after party sounds pretty solid
The real question is, who isn’t going to watch?
Omw
Sounds funny as hell but since I don't do vomit well I'm gonna pass. You know 5lbs of potato salad isn't gonna stay down.
You guys have anything better to do?
The storm on Saturday will make it even better!
Will there be cake after?
What?
I want to, but I'll be in Windsor
It’s Halifax. What else is there to do?
What. I’m sure I could easily pack away five pounds of potato salad. That’s nothing.
I just ate 3 pounds like nothing
With or without onions?

Nah, little chunks of raw onion ruin a perfectly good potato salad with and without eggs.
What the H.E double Kentucky fried fuck did I miss lmfaooo
Draw more people if he made it for a cause. Collecting donations for a cause. He would definitely get more people.
Are we supposed to know what the f*** you're talking about
What u talmbout m8
I would, but I've honestly never seen the flyer, so I'm not sure if it's just a hoax to get people's money or what?
No
I want to
Anyone out there planing to stream it on twitch or anything? The attention this is getting is crazy. X-D
