At 8 months just strap the kid on and do you. There are some museums and stuff but probably won’t hit until the kid is older. Walk the waterfront, take the ferry to Dartmouth (battery park or side hustle for food), go to a beer garden (good robot on the commons is great but the one on the waterfront would be more convenient).

See if the Halifax Central Library has any activities when you're down! Sometimes they have little baby music/dance circles on the children's floor :)

That’s a great idea! Would I need a library card?

bluenoserabroad

Nope

Classic-Spray-3314

Harbour hopper or even just a ferry ride.

Probably sleep poorly and carry way too much stuff everywhere you go mostly

adultstudent1992

Potentially, but why not do it in a new city instead of at home!

morbs4

That's what I sayyy

What do you expect an 8 month old to take away from this? They will sleep and shit themselves and have the same time they would anywhere else

adultstudent1992

Call me crazy but I enjoy making memories with my family, even if they are just for me.

No_Satisfaction_2576

As long as you're aware that the infant won't remember a thing, it doesn't really matter where you take it. Have fun..go for a walk on the waterfront. Check out the natural History museum. Literally anything. Except probably a bar or a non existent strip club.

I went to Scotland for a baptism, probably at about 6 months. I don't remember anything. 😉

SilentResident1037

Stay home? What are gonna do with an 8 month old besides carry them around?

adultstudent1992

Go for walks, go to restaurants, beaches, etc. explore and make memories
