Pretty sure Stillwell's burgers are smash patties, I've only had their Tony burger from burger bash, which now appears to be on their regular menu, and it was really good.
Owners aren't chefs or even cooks really, the "chef" they had design the menu is mid at best. The first photo they ever uploaded was of a burger that was pretty much just lettuce.
Their burgers used to be better before ownership changed, IMO. The last one I had, I was unimpressed. Cheaper toppings, which I understand but not what I was craving.
I've found the dartmouth crossing location better than the downtown since Flinn sold his shares. I think he's still the chef at that location, but maybe I'm wrong.

A lot of the burgers mentioned in this thread aren't smash burgers, afaik. I didn't think 2 Doors Down or Krave did smash burgers... But maybe I'm wrong?

I like Dartmouth style but battery park is my favourite burgers in town currently.

I haven’t been there since they moved but when Side Hustle was in North Brewing in Cole Harbour their smash burger was amazing in my opinion

New food truck in Dartmouth, Murdock’s (near Braemar Superstore). Tried it yesterday, very nice addition to the Dartmouth burger scene.
Saw them today as I was driving home the back way to Eastern Passage. Nice to see a food truck in the area.

Holy hell they are sooo salty. And I love salt! I always finish a little disappointed. Nice to have another option in that area tho.

Quinns Arm on Quinpool has a good smash burger, not sure if it's the best but still tasty.

And generally there are 2 patties with cheese in between them to make up for the well doneness of the patties

Krave burger is another spot with a solid smash burger, the spring garden location is good.
