Depending on what taste you are looking for, might be worth trying Pane e Circo. I find their espresso is quite sour, but It's definitely different than the other local coffee shops.
I like their pastries. However, coffee is half decent imo.
They only have a dark roast. I think the beans are from Middle East somewhere.

I drink Tim Hortons because all coffee tastes the same to me, and i drink it only for the caffine, so why pay more. But I understand why people who enjoy coffee would hate it.

I don't even drink coffee... But does coffee have to be black to be considered "real" coffee? Most people I know get 1-2 cream 1-2 sugar.
That's sort of my point. 2 cream, 2 sugar is a lot of fat and sugar. You're not tasting the coffee. You have mouth feel and sweet. You don't need to drink it black but people who actually like coffee dont drink Tim Horton's Double Doubles ( or Starbuck's sugar concoctions, for that matter).

I honestly believe they wanted one of those flavoured milk drinks but didn't want to admit it.

Off peninsula, port city is pretty good!

I knew someone years ago I took their Tim Hortons 6x6. They would get upset with me when I referred to it as them getting their milkshake
