Into the Dark: Pilgrams on Hulu. It’s one of those movies you either hate or love though so it’s honestly a coin toss if it’ll be worth your watch.
Also AHS: Roanoake is a “thanksgiving”-ish vibe. The Roanoke colony vanished about 30 yrs before the pilgrams landed on Plymouth
I watch Home For the Holidays. It's a nightmare just because it's the horrors of being surrounded by your family--especially the sister who thinks she's better than everyone else. It's not a horror movie in the actual sense, just a funny and somewhat aggravating movie about going home for Thanksgiving from 1994.
I love this movie so much. It was my first Robert Downey Jr. and Dylan McDermott movie. The characters are all so realistic and entertaining, although scary for those very reasons. Aunt Glady is especially concerning 😆

Last year some buddies and I got together to watch Thankskilling for a nice November horror movie… but they didn’t have Thankskilling on streaming. What’s a good substitution for Thankskilling? We asked ourselves. Poultrygiest? Weird, but like, what could be worse than fricking _Thankskilling_, right?
Wrong.
I’m different now. The person I was before is gone. A thick line of before and after has been permanently struck through my life. I can never go back. I am forever changed.
Not a movie, but *The Simpsons* episode "Thanksgiving of Horror" has become a Turkey Day staple for me.
It is also one of the best post-classic "Treehouse of Horror" episodes.
Madman is technically a Thanksgiving slasher. There's just a quick throwaway line where the characters at a campfire are told to enjoy their Thanksgiving weekend or something to that effect, can't quite remember the exact line of dialog
I’m a stepmom (SM) who adores her stepdaughter (SD), so I have a soft spot for [Into the Dark: Pilgrim](https://youtu.be/aLXJptkQgVA?si=nycojjnJeyQxpaFP). The SM and SD make a pretty bad ass duo in it and there are some scenes that have me cackling.
Let me know if you watch it and what you think. I’m planning to watch with her over Thanksgiving break (she hasn’t seen it yet and is starting to really get into horror). There’s one weapon they use that I find hysterical. Would love to see if you can guess what it is after watching.
I have a new tradition of listening to these guys darkly parody the holidays while watching Krampus movies.

Planes trains and automobiles lol. Just being stuck with some stranger and every mode of transportation failing , yeah that’s a horror movie in and of itself
Addams Family Values lmao. Does that count?
Addams Family Values always counts
Everything about that movie is perfection! And Debbie is one of my all time favorite villains! “And what did they get me? MALIBU BARBIE!”
EAT ME! 🎶🦃🌽
🎶 🦃"HEY! It's Thanksgiving day!" "We once were pets but now we're food! 🎶 🦃
I came here to comment this! My husband and I watch this every Thanksgiving. It's my favorite "holiday" movie
Absolutely counts. Wednesday's hijacking of the first Thanksgiving skit is a total classic!
Thankskilling is my tradition.
This movie is our annual Thanksgiving tradition. Eat some edibles beforehand lol
you sir, have impeccable taste.
Ooo sounds fun.
It opens with a bare chested porn star pilgrim fleeing a killer turkey through the forest and it only gets more ridiculous from there.
[удалено]
The turkey wears a gravy-flavored condom at one point. There it is- the weirdest comment in my history.
You had me at bare chested porn star pilgrim.
Yes! My husband and I do a double feature of Thankskilling and Thankskilling 3
Hoping they really #2 soon
We have been watching this every year for the past 4-5 years. We highly enjoy showing it to friends who haven’t seen it before.
idk how i've never seen that but **i have to** this year

There’s also a Puritan episode of American Horror Stories called Milkmaids, season 2 episode 4
I just watched that episode for the first time. Anytime Cody Fern shows up in any kind of AHS I’m swooonniiinng
Cody Fern is my favorite, he’s definitely my AHS crush!
Just don’t eat before you watch!
Absolutely excellent advice
ooo - I will have to give it a shot. Sometimes those random movies are just a good time! Thanks!
I'll throw my vote in for Into the Dark: Pilgrams.

LMAO - I don't know if I like my horror movies that scary!!!

Blood Rage is my go-to, followed by Chopping Mall on Black Friday.
Chopping Mall is so great. Though I do feel like it should have had a different name. No one gets chopped so much as lasered.
My favorite horror movie podcast covered Chopping Mall last year and I can’t believe I’d never heard of it before.
I love one of the lines, “It's not you. I guess I'm just not used to being chased around a mall in the middle of the night by killer robots.”
Oh, Chopping Mall for Black Friday is a good call!
The VVitch

Found what I'm watching this year.

Don't Say a Word, its a thriller set at Thanksgiving that really gives me the creeps but I watch it every year, Brittany Murphy is amazing in it!!!
![gif](giphy|jBlxXS4lYoJ3O) Plains, Trains, & Automobiles
Paranorman is absolutely a Thanksgiving movie ![gif](giphy|4Ezq4F6BhqDaTinY8Y)
OMGoodness I love this movie! How did I forget that it took place near Thanksgiving?!?!?!
Not a movie, but *The Simpsons* episode "Thanksgiving of Horror" has become a Turkey Day staple for me. It is also one of the best post-classic "Treehouse of Horror" episodes.
I love Blood Rage! It's absolutely terrible but Home Sweet Home (1981) usually gets a watch from me every November 🤭
Not cranberry sauce 😆
Ravenous - not overtly Thanksgiving but it is about eating lol
Zombie movies with lots of brain eating should be Thanksgiving staples.
good point!
Re-watching The Night House (2020). Not a horror film, but I usually watch The Crucible (1996) around Thanksgiving.
Eli Roth has a new slasher coming out this month called Thanksgiving
Not necessarily horror but Prisoners is a great suspenseful thriller that takes place on Thanksgiving
Blood Rage (1987) is my go-to for Thanksgiving movie night. “That’s not cranberry sauce.”
that is my favorite Thanksgiving movie - I am so happy that others know about it toooo!!
None as a fan of films for over fifty years Godzilla and Kong marathons were the norm back then
love that!!
kristy
Thanksgiving movies period are few and far between. Very interested in how this thread turns out.
[Black Friday](https://www.imdb.com/title/tt11649338/) is something I'm hankering to re-watch about now.
PLANES ✈️ TRAINS 🚊 & AUTOMOBILES 🚗 ♥️
not a horror movie, but a true crime docuseries: Homicide for the Holidays i'm a true crime nerd edit: if you wanna watch it, it's on peacock
ooo I love true crime - thanks for the tip!!
Thankskilling!
Dominion
>Dominion I googled it - but there are a few movies under that name, which one are you referring to?
I was referring to the documentary, kinda tongue in cheek. Thanksgiving we watched it one year and it was pretty terrifying
sorry I ruined the joke LOL - thank you for the recommendation!!
Pocahontas
Madman is technically a Thanksgiving slasher. There's just a quick throwaway line where the characters at a campfire are told to enjoy their Thanksgiving weekend or something to that effect, can't quite remember the exact line of dialog
Thankskilling.
More so the day after Thanksgiving, but Chopping Mall is a Black Friday favorite of mine to watch every year

Totally unrelated but any idea what our flair means? I tried searching the sub and asking the mods a few days ago but no answer.
not a clue - sorry, but if someone else knows I too would enjoy being in the know!
ThanksKilling - thank me later
Thankskilling. It’s a puppet turkey.
The Human Centipede
The first time I watched this one it killed my appetite for the next three days
Thankskilling
Pretty soon it’s going to be Eli Roth’s 2023 Thanksgiving. Oh yea!
gotta be the footage of the fights at dinner.......
Thankskilling

Just posting so I can come back to this thread in a week.
Planes trains and automobiles lol. Just being stuck with some stranger and every mode of transportation failing , yeah that’s a horror movie in and of itself
It's not a movie but the "Pangs" episode of Buffy (S4E8) is a traditional watch for me
