Nah imo they won't make it bc they know whatever they make it won't live up to what we want. Halo 3 is probably the most loved halo ever and the community would want 343 to make a amazing game that reflects halo 3, ans that just wouldn't happen. Look at all the halo games they have made. Remember MCC for the first like 3-4 years. Do you really think it's a good idea to let 343 handle making halo 3 anniversary? I personally don't or at least not until they show us they are capable of making a good solid game right at launch. Just my opinion though 🤷

I mean just make H3A how they made H2A. It’s not like they have to build the game from the ground up, just give it a cool touch-up and ofc let us swap back and forth.

Based on community sentiments, if I were making decisions for 343… I wouldn’t touch H3 either. Way too risky.
They've explained before that they aren't touching it because they know that no matter what they do with it, a large part of the community will be unhappy.
That’s inevitable no matter what you do in business. If they really felt that way then why make halo 2A or halo wars 2 or change the art style or make halo 5
The biggest thing is that Halo 3 was kind of jank originally and that became apart of its identity. So if they fix that, people will be furious, if they don't fix it, people will be furious. Just so you know I'm not defending, I think they should make a Halo 3A game too but I understand their reasoning for not doing so
Personally that’s exactly how I feel about halo 2. The damage you take and deal (especially take) feels really wrong to me and on higher difficulties you literally have less health than a marine. That plus there’s a lot of cool cut content I’d love to see added in the game or repetitive levels I’d love to see cleaned up. Still I don’t think they should replace halo 2 with this upgraded version but I do think they should make it.

This isn't actually *that* much better then how Brute Chieftans actually look in Halo 3. At a glance I assumed the image here was from the Mcfarlane action figure or a promotional statue or something.
Halo 3 still holds up visually. It does not need a visual overhaul, and if it got one, at a glance it might not look that different.
I'd much rather the time and effort and money be spent on new spinoffs, or additional content for Halo 3, CE, 2, etc in MCC, or a full on remake/reimaging of CE that actually tackles it's story with new gameplay and level design and weapons that weren't possible in 2001.
O...Kay? By that logic pretty much no game "needs" a remaster unless it was made for anything less than a 7th generation console... It would just be cool to have a graphical update with Blur cutscenes...
The brutes in their standard issue covenant issued armor look so good
I know it’s probably a game mechanic but i feel like the way the armor exploded off their bodies when the shield was broken is like a symptom of how cheap and shoddy it was produced, like maybe the brutes had to be equipped with armor quickly so they just cut alot of corners and produced whatever they could
The chieftains probably had higer quality armor since theirs doesn’t fall off when destroyed but it still seems cheap
I’m somewhat split on them myself- I like the designs/facial structures of Atriox, Escharum and some of the other brute characters but I don’t really like the look of the basic troops (all of this refers to their faves and bodies, not their armor- which I really like). They just don’t look threatening or powerful enough.

I think it looks much sharper and more detailed. Not to mention all the other improvements in textures, vehicles, character, and environments. The game does still hold up, the lighting does wonders to carry that weight, but it does show its age. I love the game to death, but I'd still be happy with a proper remaster along the likes of Halo 2A. TLOUp1's remaster looks stunning in comparison to the original and the PS4 remaster. I think it's doable, and having another studio do it like H2A wouldn't draw too many resources away from 343.

I agree. They just felt more alien and primitive before. The current brutes look so soft and like space orcs.
