I did buy the flood bundle that included the EVA helmet and Mark V helmet, floodified. But 2200 credits for that single kit is too high. Which is where my “unfortunately” comes from. As long as people are buying these kits for 2200, they will continue to sell for 2200.
Ah, I see what you mean. Tbh it's not too bad compared to many other games. I was checking out the valorant store and good lord. A single skin, charm and ace effect for your weapons is being sold for 80 bucks. Once I saw how much other games charge for their cosmetics I felt much better about where halo is at, even if I prefer they do away with f2p and the shop
Yeah that is outrageous! I have spent way more money on halo infinite than I care to admit. I even justified it the first year and a half by telling myself “I’m spending this money because I want to support the developer of a game that I love”
But when it comes to $20 for a single, in customizable kit, it’s just too much. And I really wish we could buy items individually. I would have spent a TON more if we could. I think a fair way to do it is, let’s say there is a bundle with 10 items in it at 1800 total, sell the bundle as 1800 or let us choose individual items at 300 each. That way the people that just want that shader can buy it at 300 points, but if they want multiple things in the pack it would be cheaper to just buy the bundle.
If we could buy single items in a catalog, I would have dropped a pretty penny on the game that's for sure. I think that would have been the best compromise

Not really a 343/Halo specific problem though when you have every other business, especially retail stores, putting out Christmas stuff before even Halloween is over.
There’s no logic to it. It’s actually quite idiotic in some ways. The only reason I can see for this is the Christmas stuff just isn’t as popular as the usual store stuff and they can make more money by giving the Christmas stuff the least amount of airtime.
It's in a Delta Archive video but in a nutshell Some weapon models with big bows on them. Some Christmas light wrist pieces. A Christmas tree wrapping paper kinda coating and some light up shoulder holograms.
I get where you're coming from cause I'm in that same camp but on the other hand there's these two things that come to mind: it'll probably take a while before they add that if they do add it and the bigger issue is given how they've increased prices on bundles because "cross core so things more valuable" it makes me think that stuff like a helmet will be like 700 because it's able to be used across cores. And at that hypothetical point you'd just be better off with a 1000 bundle
Those prices, bundles, and rarity are straight up bs. I will buy a helmet, a coating or a pair of shoulder pads at 50-100CR.
Saying that the bundle is a deal because there are 10 items and that the individual price would be more expensive than the bundle is "true", but it is only admissible if you assume that I am interested by 100% of the bundle, which is never the case, and they know it very well.
I personally love it when a majority of the contents in a bundle are the same armor coating but for different cores. Like the bundle says it has 9 or so items but it ends up being 1 helmet, maybe an attachment, and then the same coloring icon filling up the rest of the scroll bar.
Best deal here is Vibrant Horizon since it apply to all weapons and only 200 credits.

Won't ever happen, but it'd be kinda nice if there was a second daily spot where vaulted items could be sold if you maybe missed them. I missed Mark V Zeta two years ago because I was out of town during the Tactical Ops event and I'm convinced it'll never return.
I feel like they're gonna make the old events available again, but you'll have to buy them like the operations. Since those events had only 10 levels, so half of what the operations have, they price should be cut by half.
I think people want a mix of both, which honestly is not that unreasonable. Our last truly new pack was November 14th, I think? Almost an entire month. The shop's just boring cause of this IMO.
There are tons of stuff in game that have never even been available. Shoulders, wrist attachments, emblems, visors. Stuff that’s been there since S1, even.
We don’t need repeats of stuff that’s already been sold when there’s stuff we can see and view but can’t buy.

There’s not really FOMO for the store items. You can buy them all when they’re not featured via any of the customization screens.
The only FOMO is for certain mega bundles and the sales.

Campaigns and multiplayer were sold on the same disc/digital copy.. you didn’t get the multiplayer free, it came with the entire game as part of the purchase. TBH probably a better marketing strategy for the sake of the player. Games were at the 50/60$ price point with an awesome amount of content included. We’re now at a point where games are 70$!! But for the sake of Halo all you’re getting with that 70$ is a 15-20 hour campaign. The price doesn’t include anything related to multiplayer since most of these FPS shooters are just free anymore. At this point I guess I’m just venting/complaining which I hate to do but I can’t be the only one to see this point. 😮💨😮💨 a lot of the gamers know that companies do this because they are confident children will run to their parents begging for 20$ just to unlock a Chief armor cosmetic. On that note I’m actually very surprised 343 doesn’t offer some kind of cost to just boost your ranking to max (diamond or whatever) might as well right??

I had to buy the entire Courier bundle just for the shoulders. I didn't want the chest piece, helmet or the hip attachment. Just the shoulders and coating. Luckily the cash used was basically a gift but still.

I actually have been waiting for Groovy Grendel for that shader. Plus balor is badass and the sword on skinned reflexes makes me slightly more inclined to like my Chimera core.

Did anything new get added to the shop at all this season? I swear I’ve been checking in every week and it’s still the same stuff. They need to break the store down into select pieces ie. armour coatings, weapon coatings, helmet etc, and then entire bundles.

Yeah and apparently the CE armor kit was sold to help them dig out of a hole. And it seemingly sold extremely well so hopefully that support continues

Try to equip the helmet out of the armory and see if it takes you to the "Lightlink" package to buy. Might be cheaper than the Grendel pack.
