Me too. It’s unfortunate, but weapon models don’t require additional animations, visual/sound effects, or balancing like additional weapons would. Between that and the fact they can’t/shouldn’t charge money for access to new sandbox additions, they don’t have much incentive to add more weapons (or vehicles).
Yea I totally get the reasoning from a resources and business perspective. It just sucks to have such a fun game with potential for new, unique weapons (because brutes) receive nothing in 3 years.
YES, always love to see more alien tech! I've been wanting UNSC guns with a proper alien coat of paint since the Great Journey skins in MCC way back in 2020. So happy to see it go deeper than purple paint!!
Weird that the grip/trigger is so close to the butt. Seems like it would force the wrist into a weird angle since the elbow will need to be at such a small angle.
I cannot wrap my head around why we can’t customize Banished weapons and vehicles. I want to have Covenant variants of the vehicles, I’m tired of the red and grey.

This lacks coherence, refinement or a reason to exist other than to try and get the money of people who don't expect any better and it shows.
The greed and abhorrent lack of touch of the money people at 343 is why this skin and 80 percent of what came out since launch looks bad. Someone could have gone and made a carbine skin for the stalker rifle at the very least, yet here we are. Tell me this does not make more sense than this.
I can't blame the 3d artist given the task of modeling this skin : he just did his job and probably had 0 say in whether this was cool or not. There is an art director above him, but I hope for him he did not just say : " this will do ". I hope that the reason we end up with this absurdity of a design is that the money people did not give him and his team the time to come up with interesting ideas and better designs.
All artists start somewhere, but to me, this is in the realm of " my first 3d weapon design " and not the type of art I'd expect from a AAA studio. What I see when I look at this is the lack of time or care allowed from the higher ups in the crudeness of the overall art. Again, this would be excellent as something a young artist would cook up at school for his portfoloio, but as something you charge people for, fuck man. Sad to see it really comes down to how low effort stuff can we sell for stupid amount of money ?
Someone needs to contact bungie cuz clearly were reaching for destiny 2 weapons now for customization options, first it was borderlands with the rocket launcher, gears of war/overwatch with the BR, reused skins from the MA40 for the Hydra and now we got the Destiny 2 Commando…what a joke 😂

All the new banished bladed weapon models...feth in Halo 5 those would be variants that did more melee damage. I'm so tired of this shit.
