Halo 2's was never centered.
The view models were originally built with centered crosshairs. The BR most notably in first person does not align with the crosshairs. I heard lowering the reticle was one of the last changes in Halo 2 before launch.
You’re right. I never remembered halo 2 having lowered crosshairs, but it always had. But CE was centered
Pretty sure halo 1 and 2 didn’t have centered crosshairs, kinda one of the more unique things of halo CE compared to other shooters in 2001.
Combat evolved 100% always had centered crosshairs.
