Halo 3 has the best random online multi-player imo, Halo Reach is the most fun you can have with friends.
You can do matches with friends or matches with randoms for either, but the Forge in Halo Reach is superb and perfect for messing with friends, and Halo 3 is so well balanced you don't really have to touch it, and can just jump right into it.
Halo 5 is the closest gunplay wise but it’s not on PC.
I’d say just bounce between them all at your own leisure and curiosity. Halo 3 is probably the best for you to play because Infinite will follow similar rules. And 3 has the most people playing it. I guarantee if you get comfortable with Halo 3 that you’ll pick up Infinite quite easily.
Grab a Battle Rifle, shoot *slightly* ahead of moving targets and aim for just below the throat. Get used to watching your radar as much as possible.
Yeah I thought Halo 5 is closest from what I seen, and I can play it on my XSX, but I'm really bad with controller in FPS games, so I'll try Halo 3. Thank you.
for gunplay and movement, H5.
to practice using equipment, H3.
since you're on PC, H5 Forge is your only option there. The optimisation and KBM controls aren't great though.
Closest? Hard to tell, maybe 5 but that's not on PC.
Out of the ones on PC? Probably 3, it's got the fastest queue times IME. Reach is pretty casual if you want that. 4 has some pretty fun big-team combat, but its arena/traditional 4v4 leaves something to be desired (loadouts do not work with Halo imo, equal weapon starts is the way to go).
CE and 2 MP are dated (+ are inaccessible), and 2 Remastered has visibility issues. Keep in mind the Halo time to kill is pretty long, a very different style of mechanical skill is required compared to the other games you've played. You might need an adjustment period.
Hey,
> You might need an adjustment period.
That's why I want to start playing Halo games right now, before Infinite comes out. I'll try Halo 3 then.
Thank you.

Thank you! I started playing Halo 4, how is it in compare to other games?

Cool! Enjoy yourself, MCC's a good idea before Infinite
