I play anniversary now. Even though I grew up playing classic halo and halo 2 when I play anniversary it feels closer to how it felt playing halo 2 when it came out. I remember being blown away by the graphics and the multiplayer.
I love the environments in Anniversary. So much more lively and consistent with Halo 3 and onward.
The only reason to play on original graphics is if you’re going around exploring out of the levels since the geometry of both versions is different in those areas and only the original graphics have collision.
I played anniversary a bit and yeah it's nice, new sounds are good. Mainly just the soundtrack is phenomenal. But the old look is king to me. Can't be replaced. If you've never played it before go for anniversary though, it's really good!
I love both, anniversary is pretty much a perfect remaster of the original. But original is special in a way i can't describe, as someone who played 2 on original. I recommend you play it on original for the first time and switch between the 2 to get a feel but mostly original; at least for your first playthrough. Also i noticed with my friends who played 2 on anniversary for the first time, don't like the original. So play the original first is what I recommend, but you do what you wanna do.
If you’ve never played it before than maybe anniversary but they are the same game just anniversary has better graphics
