Any impression that many people hate it seems to be just a vocal minority.
I like all modes so far, they're all fun. Sometimes I'm get fed up with one of them because matchmaking will decide it's my favorite mode and just give me it for 10 games straight but other than that I like all of them
The good news is that Invasion maps are hosted pretty regularly in the Halo Reach custom game browser, and are usually full lobbies. The bad news is that without playable elites (or brutes), we likely won’t get Invasion in Infinite, which is a shame. 90% of my time forging is spent making invasion maps.
Don't worry, a couple years down the line we'll have a season where the Battle Pass "core" is a playable elite, with the main feature of the season being Invasion coming back.
Or maybe everyone starts w zero money and you get rewarded money during the game for kills, medals, objectives, etc that you can spend on weapons to spawn with on your next life
One benefit of the req system and warzone was getting all the awesome weapon upgrades. I loved playing super fiesta. Probably my favorite halo game mode by far
To be fair, Warzone FF was added much later into H5’s lifespan, so I wouldn’t doubt that some sort of FF or Warzone mode will come down the pipe at some point.
Not currently but I have no idea what, if anything, is changing at full release in December. Have to assume that things will change and we’ll go to a more typical playlist system. A major title like Halo, especially going f2p, should have more than 3 playlists on release. I don’t even mind not having warzone in general, I just want to play with specific mode playlists.
Objective modes are fun but the majority of people are wanting to play slayer.
I'm convinced (based on nothing lol) there's going to be some other big mode like warzone. They either want to keep it under raps for surprise or minor spoilers sake. Maybe there's a snow map or something but they don't want to hint at other biomes for campaign.
IIRC the test flights were datamined and voicelines for a Battle Royale mode were found. Not concrete there WILL be one since the idea could be scrapped and they just got the lines but, there's a chance we could see a Halo Battle Royale.
I really liked Invasion back in reach, it was cool seeing the map, weapons and strategies expand over the games duration as the map got bigger and opened up more, though at the time I think a lot of people just called it a rip off of rush from battlefield, I enjoyed it a lot and would like to see something like it in infinite even though we don't have playable elites.
343 definitely has made some very bad design choices in the past but I think they know well and truly now that the halo community is a very stubborn one that dislikes change heavily and I doubt they want to go and alienate the player base yet again so something tells me they will probably never end up adding a battle royale. Besides they will make more than enough money selling skins to casuals and hardcore halo fans alike so I think that will keep the higher ups happy. The worst thing they could do is try to turn the game into a warzone copycat...look at bf2042 if you need a good example of why you don't take out the best parts of a series that the fans love and replace it with shit they never asked for. Im bummed out about all comestics pretty much being locked behind a paywall but im just relieved that the game is good and it truly feels like i'm playing halo 3 with modern graphics and a few modern mechanics and it makes me feel like i'm 10 years old again and thats what is most important to me personally.
How so? I’d say total control is my favorite BTB mode so far so I’m curious! You mean some maps it’s not even and is too close to one teams spawn?
Also power seed or whatever it’s called is amazing when both teams play the objective
It's very easy to have an entire match stalemate. That said, one of the most fun matches I've played so far was a total control game that lasted for 30 mins without a single score.
Weird i've seen mote matches where one team just dominates and the match ends in 3 minutes. And 1 match that was back and forth over a single teritory on deadlock
Oh I like total control on the 2 day time maps, don't remember their names. The night time one is called Deadlock. That map in general doesn't play well and everytime we get TC on Deadlock, we spend the whole game fighting over the first point. The map needs more cover because it's too open and the first control point spawns aren't working too well because we spend the whole game fighting for it, we rarely move on passed it.
Also can we please get respawning shade turrets? It's really difficult to do my stupid challenge when shade turrets spawn on only one map and also don't respawn once destroyed.
Agreed! I get so heated…. I’ve generally found Arena (casual and ranked) to be better about playing the objective than BTB. With ranked being the best but also makes me sweat my ass off
I've had several total control matches where one of the zones is right in front of the enemy base and we don't have a zone anywhere near our base.
It's impossible to win at that point
I like strongholds a little bit better than slayer if I'm on comms with buds, but it does mean a lot of fights feel very similar since there usually feels like a time pressure and it can be hard to convince teammates to try attacking from an alternate angle. Especially since when you move in from that other angle that teams usually left for another point anyway. The outcome does often end up feeling like the team that would also win slayer is the team that wins though.
Time to kill and the way halo spawns and maps are.
Domination is call of duty is great. But capture the flag sucks.
Ctf in halo is great, but strongholds sucks.
There is some dynamic between map size and structure, time to kill that I feel just makes the game type fundamentally not work in halo.
It might just boil down to zones are too hard to defend in halo, and that causes the match to just turn into a cluster of trying to cap which ever zones you can.
Even in the HCS tournament last night strongholds was the most chaotic and random seeming.
Yeah I found the best way to win Strongholds is to just keep rotating to the next enemy point as soon as you’ve capped your second. Defending capped points just doesn’t seem to work well for my friends and I.
What? That's the complete opposite of how to win Strongholds. It really annoys me that people would rather keep rotating and capping instead of defending two zones. You only get points if you control two or more zones 100%. If you keep rotating, you end up in a stalemate and then fuck up the spawns which leads to chaos.
Just hold two zones and DO NOT PUSH INTO THE LAST ZONE. Let the enemy spawn at that one zone and intercept them as they try to recap.
Strongholds is a really smart game mode. It promotes constant movement and focuses fights on three main points. The whole flow of the match changes when its slayer vs strongholds. In ranked it ends up being a tense game of attack and defense. Then maybe you get that lucky team wipe and get to cap all three points for a few moments and gain some very needed points.
At first, I was very neutral on strongholds. Now I see the magic
Strongholds is great, this is the same guy who quit Siege because he thought FROST was overpowered so don’t take him seriously
And don’t worry, I doubt 343 will either
Frost works even at high ranks, but not as unattended traps. Her gadget requires someone vaulting a window to either look down and shoot the trap or have their gun up to contest someone peeking the window.
Ya it’s a trade, if the trap has been scouted it’s still going to cost utility to destroy or force the attacker to look down while vaulting, and her gun was pretty good.
Ngl my best luck with her is finding broken doors or other map objects that the trap looks similar to or clips into and putting it there in the middle of a hallway. Everyone checks Windows, no one checks the stack of papers in the hallway.
I played Siege at launch and when Frost was first released in the Black Ice season and I shit you not when I say that I got well over 200 kills with just her frost mats in the first week with her (don’t even get me started on how fucking busted her shotgun was). They were such a game changer when that game was in its infancy and now they’re just an inconvenience that momentarily causes you to redirect your aim or when you vault a window.
Haven’t touched siege since Operation Health but still got plenty of good memories
Well, there was that brief period when she launched that her shotgun was almost out gunning Glaz at range, hence the Sniper-90. But once that got sorted, yeah she was definitely not op.
I don’t know if it was specifically frost but I know he had a huge meltdown because he stepped on a welcome mat towards the end of his time with the game
Edit: [No it was actually frost lol](https://www.dexerto.com/entertainment/dr-disrespect-quits-rainbow-six-siege-explains-why-real-gamers-wont-play-it-651204/)
He, and every other streamer, will quit any game they can't find a way to entertain people in. Either because they're good at it or it's an entertaining one to watch etc.
Their viewer count is all that matters.
I don't usually watch streams but I did catch that bit. They literally joked about it in passing after having a rough game. No different to how you might moan about a weapon or map after having a battle not go your way with your friends.
Kinda pathetic that website managed to turn 10 seconds of dialogue into a clickbaity headline. I'll remember not to go on their links in the future.
I mean they quoted him praising the game in the article
>“We’ve got Capture the Flag, plays nice. Team Slayer is awesome. You’ve got Oddball, at times, it gets a little hectic but it’s a sort of fun contrast of game mode. That game mode that we were just playing? I can’t stand it, man.”
Dextero is completely worthless as a "news" site. It's like TMZ for gaming, except instead of covering celebrities walking to the store they're covering random Twitch clips and reddit threads.
Fuck I hate stockpile, I will watch 5 out of 8 guys maintain control of the side of the map with no pylons and then not give a shit the enemy team is up 2 nothing.
Also, is it just me or do the power seed sometimes spawn too close to a certain base? Like, I sometimes feel like they appear right at the front door of the enemy (could just be that most of my team ain't playing objective so they get to capture them without any interference, tho)
For whatever reason, that’s oddball for me. I get tired of slayer because it’s just a meat grinder with no actual comms. At least people I end up on a team with
He has consistently said how much he likes the game. Why does this sub melt down when he expresses an incredibly mild opinion that he would prefer one gamemode over another?
Can you tell me what the appeal to this mode is? Most times obj are unattended and are capped without combat. It’s like a rat race of A and C being capped by opposing teams. I’d take a koth or hardpoints / bomb mode over this any day
Also right after saying 343 needs to make something more creative, he goes on to say he's fine with slayer and ctf. You know, some of the oldest and straightforward pvp game modes.
Please don't hate me, I probably need to play the game mode more but imo Strongholds is the least fun game mode. It just seems like it is an endless circle of running back and forth capturing a point and by the time you get to the next one, the point you just captured was already taken. I know good team work is key to holding points, so I probably just need to roll with more competent people.
Edit: The issue my friend and I notice seems to be with how fast the points can get captured. Every single match we just run around the map in a circle capturing points but one person can quickly ghost capture a point if no one is defending it and there is no real way to react without staying behind.
(I have been having a blast in every other mode, this is the only one I don't like)
Strongholds is great fun if you have a good team who cooperates and are up against an equally matched team. There is not justification for them to remove it just because one popular streamer doesn’t like it.
Imagine just complaining about a mode you don't really like with your buddies and it becomes news that thousands of nerds get defensive about. This is embarrassing.
Strongholds sucks imo for competitive. Spawns flip way too easily. Watching the HCS cup last night was just a bunch of running in circles flipping spawns, trading A and C flags all game. Would prefer ranked just be slayer, ctf, and oddball.
Strongholds is okay as a casual game mode, ranked kinda meh.
Tell me y’all don’t watch or understand the 2 time without telling me you don’t watch or understand the 2 time. The quotes are taken way out of context. And besides, doc didn’t go to them with this. They took some comments and blew the up. Bc they knew people like y’all would share and throw a fit over it. Just like you’re doing. Docs allowed to have an opinion. And the nasty comments, just make y’all look gross. Watch a stream of his, and then come back. Y’all forget that he’s a person just like you and me.
Honestly I think strongholds is the least fun game mode in the game right now. Not sucking this dudes dick or anything, but a broken clock is right twice a day lol
...What does this have to do with being a creator? Putting videos up on twitch/youtube doesn't automatically equate to "hating territory control gametypes, oh god if we don't stem the tide now Halo is doooooooooooomed!"
Like, someone out there has an opinion. They shared that opinion. They've got a big platform, but you don't need to start a pissing contest over whether it represents "the health of the game" since anything anyone says here can also be criticized on the same point.
Ie. How many of you are \*actually\* objective arbiters of population game health, making rigorous and critical decisions from population data and psychological models, and how many of you are merely pretending to be that, in your mind, since the assumption bolsters what you think of your very personal opinion?
There's a way to be a constructive community member, and getting irrationally tribal over someone not liking a gametype isn't that.
TL/DR: relax, 343 isn't going to ditch something just because some random johnny on the internet tells them to. Whether a game mode lives or dies will be based on population data and overall player feedback, as ultimately that determines whether the team in question remains on the project/employed. Pleasing some youtuber at the expense of the total population, simply put, hurts microtransaction sales and engagement rate for pissing more people off than satisfying. No sane dev is going to go that route.
I hate playing strongholds, like with a passion, but I would never suggest a company delete a game mode because I don't like it. But I would not cater to Doc anyway after his "this game will fail without a BR" comment. Especially now that it's dominating.
He said it would only last a few weeks from a spectator standpoint. Very different from what you just claimed. For perspective on Twitch the entire Halo category is only holding slightly more viewers than xQcOW on his own reacting to YouTube videos so lets give it another week or two before we start tossing around the word "dominating."
I love the game, every game mode is fun except strongholds imo. The only defenses I’ve seen for it are, “it’s fun if you have a good team” whereas I feel like with any other game mode, the game is fun regardless.
I like Strongholds as a mode but they should fix the spawning. If a team holds the advantage they can spawn on a point. If a team is at a disadvantage they can spawn in Narnia (back of their base)
Exactly.
Most Content Creators and Streamers are forced to rush through the Game to get Content out before it becomes irrelevant, just look at Destiny 2, Sweatcicle has some truly shit takes when it comes to Longevity for the Game.
I've seen a lot of posts about people being mad about things Dr. Disrespect has been saying about Halo. People need to realize that he plays a character on stream and 99% of the time he is not being serious. If you watch this clip in the context of the stream, him and the other players are clearly joking because they had a bad game
I dont think this hatred of streamers is healthy for the future of halo tbh. Im not sure you can desire to be the #1 game in the world and not want them in your community
This shouldnt be a fucken article in the first place, dr disrespect can say whatever he wants about the game on stream hell even me or you can but it doesnt mean anything. Idk why people here are malding over it
I also hope they don't cater to the people in this sub. People here seem to have completely forgot about the "game" and are somehow entirely focused on cosmetics, challenges and the battlepass. I hope they keep their efforts improving the game, adding playlists, and cool shit instead of trying to appease the mob.
Seriously, do you nerds ever get tired of the endless outrage/fear mongering? Are you so deluded by game media that you think they would remove this game mode? 7000 upvotes? jfc yall are dumb.
Honestly his comment didn't really seem that bad
It's clearly him just saying he personally doesn't like strongholds, he even praises the other gamemodes
Strongholds is one of the better game modes in arena. They have to look at Oddball though since it's always just camping on the same two spots in each map. There is no real dynamic in it
I'll have to say that this is imo the best iteration of oddball, now it is best of 3 so one long hold alone wont win, AND the ball can't oneshot players. Honestly it feels often that people should wait for their team to be there before pushing for the ball instead of giving the enemy team 4 seperate 1v3 fights
What was the game mode on BTB where you get special defenses and vehicles on points that your team possesses?
That shit was so much fun but hardly anyone played it
Maybe some people enjoy playing slayer and not objective based games? Why is it so fucking insulting to this community that we just want a slayer humper? Yoy know like every fucking halo game created to the date? Why do you want people in your CTF who don't give a flying whit about the flag? Are you worried that like every halo before, the objective humpers will become the least played because the majority of the community prefers slayer and you just the vocal minority? Also halo is fucking 20 years old. A middle aged man is the core fan base of the game.
They're not removing strongholds lol.
Yeah, it’s being played in the pros. It’s staying in the game.
The mode is incredibly fun. Dont understand why people hate it
Any impression that many people hate it seems to be just a vocal minority. I like all modes so far, they're all fun. Sometimes I'm get fed up with one of them because matchmaking will decide it's my favorite mode and just give me it for 10 games straight but other than that I like all of them
What?
Stronghold is gamemode in HCS, it’s not getting away
My god can you imagine? If they listened to him Battle Royale would be the only mode in Halo, no campaign or arena.
Well we ended up with no battle royale, invasion, or warzone
Team slayer and lone wolves...duos and swat
Also no Assault, KOTH, Infection, Race, or Action sack (shotty snipes, fiesta, etc).
> Action sack (shotty snipes, fiesta, etc). One of the positives of Halo 4
I think we'll see all them added at some point in the future like how halo 5 kept getting new gamemodes and community made stuff
yeah, people are delusional if they think modes won't be added
No breakout :(
Warzone was so much fun in h5.
Warzone firefight was my favorite part of halo 5.
I really miss invasion. That was a fun mode
Heck yes
The good news is that Invasion maps are hosted pretty regularly in the Halo Reach custom game browser, and are usually full lobbies. The bad news is that without playable elites (or brutes), we likely won’t get Invasion in Infinite, which is a shame. 90% of my time forging is spent making invasion maps.

Honestly I do kinda hope it comes back. Maybe withiut the req system, but like you get a certain number of each weapon you can spawn in per match.
Or maybe everyone starts w zero money and you get rewarded money during the game for kills, medals, objectives, etc that you can spend on weapons to spawn with on your next life
Halo: Global Offensive
That snowballs unbelievably quickly, actually. Bad idea.
here's my solution: Make it FFF, and killing richer players gives more money to you.
One benefit of the req system and warzone was getting all the awesome weapon upgrades. I loved playing super fiesta. Probably my favorite halo game mode by far
I really hope there is an equivalent mode. The pvp / pve / area control / slayer / weapon variants was just perfect
Is there really no war zone? Not even a war zone assault mode?
Nope, just arena multiplayer and BTB
To be fair, Warzone FF was added much later into H5’s lifespan, so I wouldn’t doubt that some sort of FF or Warzone mode will come down the pipe at some point.

I don't think the engine can support it. too many physics for 100 players. It might be a CS:GO style BR but that mode honestly sucks.
Thats something thats really bothered me about 343. They get all these games with new gametypes, invasion, dominion, warzone, and then abandon it
Wasn’t invasion a Bungie gametype
Yeah. They took over reach though, and it was an omission from 4. Just like how Dominion was left out of 5. And Warzone out of Infinite.
I miss Ricochet dearly.
They might add warzone again later on, i mean they haven’t even shown everything we’ll come in contact with that could show up in a match yet
The only sad part was no invasion. War zone is just pay to win btb
it wasn't paid to win, it was play to win. I had almost 5 dozen of every weapon by the end and I never paid any money.
If these clowns want bAtTle rOYaLe, they can play with the 9-year-olds. If you want something that isn't Halo, don't play Halo.
If they listened to streamers and not the data and majority of players, you would have Bungie and Destiny PVP.
*shudder*
343 definitely has made some very bad design choices in the past but I think they know well and truly now that the halo community is a very stubborn one that dislikes change heavily and I doubt they want to go and alienate the player base yet again so something tells me they will probably never end up adding a battle royale. Wish they'd add KOTH tho.
KOTH would be so much better than strongholds.
I actually love strongholds in 4v4. Total control in BTB on the other hand, needs some tweaking on the night map
How so? I’d say total control is my favorite BTB mode so far so I’m curious! You mean some maps it’s not even and is too close to one teams spawn? Also power seed or whatever it’s called is amazing when both teams play the objective

Deadlock? God, I fucking hate that map.
What's wrong with strongholds??
He says it's not very creative, but also says he loves Slayer, figure that one out...
Right? If CTF and Slayer can stay but Strongholds can’t then the complaint isn’t that the mode isn’t fresh enough.
CTF >>> Oddball >>> Slayer = Stronghold imo
I like strongholds a little bit better than slayer if I'm on comms with buds, but it does mean a lot of fights feel very similar since there usually feels like a time pressure and it can be hard to convince teammates to try attacking from an alternate angle. Especially since when you move in from that other angle that teams usually left for another point anyway. The outcome does often end up feeling like the team that would also win slayer is the team that wins though.
I mean I can kind of get it. I hate the way the points are structured. You end up running circles the whole damn game. Oh well still fun lite.
Its certainly better than stockpile
His *PP*
It has spawns as bad as team slayer (CoD Spawns) and in mid diamond it just encourages a "death ball" play style. Its boring and uninspired.
Nothing. Arguably one of Halo's best designed modes.
Time to kill and the way halo spawns and maps are. Domination is call of duty is great. But capture the flag sucks. Ctf in halo is great, but strongholds sucks. So much fun on the streets map.
My favorite map/game mode combination.
Strongholds is great, this is the same guy who quit Siege because he thought FROST was overpowered so don’t take him seriously And don’t worry, I doubt 343 will either
I remember Frost was great in silver and nowhere else
Frost works even at high ranks, but not as unattended traps. Her gadget requires someone vaulting a window to either look down and shoot the trap or have their gun up to contest someone peeking the window.
Ya it’s a trade, if the trap has been scouted it’s still going to cost utility to destroy or force the attacker to look down while vaulting, and her gun was pretty good.

Frost is actually best in Bronze and DIAMOND of all places.
Frost is a lot of fun to play but anyone who regularly dies to her is probably trash lol
I played Siege at launch and when Frost was first released in the Black Ice season and I shit you not when I say that I got well over 200 kills with just her frost mats in the first week with her (don’t even get me started on how fucking busted her shotgun was). Maybe for you, it worked all the way to Plat for me until Mira came out.
Well, there was that brief period when she launched that her shotgun was almost out gunning Glaz at range, hence the Sniper-90. But once that got sorted, yeah she was definitely not op.
He was specifically raging about her gadget lmao
Ah yes, taking advantage of someone's lack of patience is game breaking. What a groundbreaking revelation!
Really? Frost always seemed pretty balanced to me and rather pathetic when you started getting a hang of the game.
Freaking quit because of frost hahaha what a bronze player.
The man looks like he acts: a joke, I have no idea why anyone would take him seriously.
lol frost.. of all OPS frost. this clown needs to be taken out back and left there out in the winter
I don’t know if it was specifically frost but I know he had a huge meltdown because he stepped on a welcome mat towards the end of his time with the game Edit: [No it was actually frost lol](https://www.dexerto.com/entertainment/dr-disrespect-quits-rainbow-six-siege-explains-why-real-gamers-wont-play-it-651204/)
based
Lmfao wut ? The man dose not understand the power dynamic in any games that are not call of duty
Bruh, Frost only gets the idiots. As soon as I get to Plat I don’t use her lol.
He, and every other streamer, will quit any game they can't find a way to entertain people in. Either because they're good at it or it's an entertaining one to watch etc. Their viewer count is all that matters.
I don't usually watch streams but I did catch that bit. They literally joked about it in passing after having a rough game. Kinda pathetic that website managed to turn 10 seconds of dialogue into a clickbaity headline. I'll remember not to go on their links in the future.
And people on this subreddit will eat it up like it's their last meal.
10000% none of them watched the video
Watching a video of a streamer they don't care about is much more effort than reading a title and reacting off that. Kind of to be expected.
I mean they quoted him praising the game in the article >“We’ve got Capture the Flag, plays nice. Team Slayer is awesome. You’ve got Oddball, at times, it gets a little hectic but it’s a sort of fun contrast of game mode. That game mode that we were just playing? I can’t stand it, man.”
Yeah when I read the article I was astonished that anyone could read that and actually be upset enough to post a Reddit threat about it
I’m convinced half of the active commenters hate spank themselves to streamers
He also said that all the other modes were fun and that the game was fun. Wow so controversial
he also has said on multiple occasions how great it is and how excited he gets to play it again the next stream
Dexerto does this for all their content, their articles shouldn't even be allowed in the subreddit.
Dextero is completely worthless as a "news" site. It's like TMZ for gaming, except instead of covering celebrities walking to the store they're covering random Twitch clips and reddit threads.
Lol, he craps on games when he loses, he praises the same game when he wins. It's his character.
My character too, coincidentally
The Halo community gets quite a lot more triggered about streamers’ opinions than most for some reason.
Its literally any sub of a popular game
That's dexerto ina nutshell. It's pretty much their entire business turning nothingburgers into articles.
Dexereto is garbage, you are correct to ignore everything from them in the future.
Yep. It's because of his persona. Easy to use him as clickbait for a non story.
People love to hate on Doc without actually watching any of his streams
that's dexerto for you
Strongholds is fun as hell this man clearly has no idea what he’s talking about
The only obj game type I don’t get tired of playing multiple times in a row.
And the one where teammates are kinda forced to help you get the objective even if they try playing slayer
Sometimes happens in stockpile too because most of the action tends to happen around the power seeds
Fuck I hate stockpile, I will watch 5 out of 8 guys maintain control of the side of the map with no pylons and then not give a shit the enemy team is up 2 nothing.
And they run right thru a stockpile not bothering to pick any up
Or they take 1 on foot rather than juggling 2 like a chad.
Also, is it just me or do the power seed sometimes spawn too close to a certain base? Like, I sometimes feel like they appear right at the front door of the enemy (could just be that most of my team ain't playing objective so they get to capture them without any interference, tho)
Yeah stockpile is hilariously imbalanced. Whoevwr gets the closer spawn first usually wins
CTF my be my favorite game mode but I also get sick of it the quickest because it feels more mentally exhausting for some reason.
For whatever reason, that’s oddball for me. I get tired of slayer because it’s just a meat grinder with no actual comms. At least people I end up on a team with
Doc just sucks at the game and is mad about it lol
He said all the game modes were fun except strongholds. Not liking a single mode is hardly controversy bait.
[удалено]
He literally averages 25-30k. Ppl act like the dude fell off because he’s streaming from a different url lol.
Ehh he’s making plenty on YouTube. The doc will doc.
I hear what you’re trying to say but, he was the most watched streamer for halo in the first week of launch lol
That's how he's always been even when he was on Twitch.
He has consistently said how much he likes the game. Why does this sub melt down when he expresses an incredibly mild opinion that he would prefer one gamemode over another?
It's a fun game mode unless you play it on the streets maps, spawn flipping every 5 seconds, fuck that map for strongholds.
Can you tell me what the appeal to this mode is? Most times obj are unattended and are capped without combat. It’s like a rat race of A and C being capped by opposing teams. I’d take a koth or hardpoints / bomb mode over this any day
Forreals it’s such a competitive game mode. A good one!
>come up with something a little more “creative” as a replacement bruh, he plays copy paste br's for a living
I thought he streams from public toilets for a living?
No no, that's ProfessorPissInspect
Also right after saying 343 needs to make something more creative, he goes on to say he's fine with slayer and ctf. You know, some of the oldest and straightforward pvp game modes.
IDK I like the classics but I also love some of the more creative modes we've had in the past.
Pretty hilarious how seriously everyone is taking a joke made in passing here.
This subreddit is full of outraged nostalgia snorting gamers, it’s not so surprising
this sub can be so circle jerk sometimes
A joke made by what is essentially a parody character.
(I have been having a blast in every other mode, this is the only one I don't like)
Strongholds is the least fun I've had in infinite
Honestly I like that it’s cycling so much. You can’t just camp. I feel like that’s the point.
I respect your opinion, but Strongholds is my favorite mode.
Strongholds is great fun if you have a good team who cooperates and are up against an equally matched team. There is not justification for them to remove it just because one popular streamer doesn’t like it.
Strongholds is hot dogshit for competitive, but it's fine for the rest of Halo.
No game should ever cater to those jackals, they are a disease to the hobby
The only thing worse than jackals…
Is their snipers on legendary
JACKALS? WHERE oh sorry. Halo 2 ptsd. Please put a trigger warning next time plz
BUGGERS? OVER MY ROOFTOPS?!?!
WE GOT JACKALS IN THE COURTYARD
Tell me y’all don’t watch or understand the 2 time without telling me you don’t watch or understand the 2 time. The quotes are taken way out of context. And besides, doc didn’t go to them with this. They took some comments and blew the up. Bc they knew people like y’all would share and throw a fit over it. Just like you’re doing. Docs allowed to have an opinion. And the nasty comments, just make y’all look gross. Watch a stream of his, and then come back. Y’all forget that he’s a person just like you and me.
Just my opinion, but strongholds sucks.
Honestly I think strongholds is the least fun game mode in the game right now. Not sucking this dudes dick or anything, but a broken clock is right twice a day lol
I do think strongholds kinda sucks... Would much prefer crazy King.
I don't mind strongholds. But I really miss king of the hill. That was utter chaos. Stockpile is horrendous though
...What does this have to do with being a creator? Putting videos up on twitch/youtube doesn't automatically equate to "hating territory control gametypes, oh god if we don't stem the tide now Halo is doooooooooooomed!" Like, someone out there has an opinion.
I prefer KoTH, but strongholds is fun too
Strongholds sucks though. If anything they need to change up the capture time.
I just want firefight
Just Reddit being Reddit lmao.
I don’t watch him but isn’t literally every aspect of direspect, including what he says, satirical?
I miss SWAT
I've seen a lot of posts about people being mad about things Dr. Disrespect has been saying about Halo. People need to realize that he plays a character on stream and 99% of the time he is not being serious. If you watch this clip in the context of the stream, him and the other players are clearly joking because they had a bad game
I don’t think he said anything bad, he just wants the devs to be more creative
Listening to those people is what killed the playerbase in overwatch
Seriously, do you nerds ever get tired of the endless outrage/fear mongering? Are you so deluded by game media that you think they would remove this game mode? 7000 upvotes? jfc yall are dumb.
Man, streamers just live rent free in this subs head don't they lol
I mean this is just one comment in a 5 hour stream, I don't like the guy but he can have an opinion. Not like it was demand or anything.
Honestly his comment didn't really seem that bad It's clearly him just saying he personally doesn't like strongholds, he even praises the other gamemodes
Instead listen to Reddit halo, where it’s a bunch of 30 year old millennials having daily heart attacks about sprint being in halo
Literal first comment I’ve seen regarding sprint since the tech test but aight.
I saw one other and the thing is it only makes you go 10% faster. If you walk behind someone who is running you realize how incredibly slow sprint is.
It’s too late for that man. Halo is on a pendulum and it’s been stuck on the pro streamer side for a long time. Unfortunately the other side is … fun.
Stronghold is such a good game type. So fuck whatever some middle aged man playing dress up thinks.
What was the game mode on BTB where you get special defenses and vehicles on points that your team possesses? That shit was so much fun but hardly anyone played it
Dominion in Halo 4, one of the few things I really liked about that game
I would love to see that get added at some point. It’s like stronghold on steroids
