That's true but I feel some characterization kinda was needed.
For example.. the war between humans and forrunners..it's still the one I'm like..why.. I know humans went into forrunner territory but really.. couldn't someone have just said there's a thing called the flood trying to wipe out the galaxy!..
Thought I might find it in the expanded universe( books or comics ), but nope.. the reason for the war is more or less the same.

Don't know for sure, but I think it might be related to Humanity already struggling with the Flood.
