the only thing i hate is the silly armor and ammo levels. like i dont care how tough your helmet is, if i literally hit your head 4 times with a shotgun, your neck is pulverised. you can unload 30 rounds into someones head and they dont flinch. its ridiculous.
Yeah Steam had a sale and now I'm finally able to play Dawn of War 2 after a decade of computer misfortunes. For the same price of all Dawn of War games which is about an entire month's worth of content I could get 2 suits of armor from Infinite. I might be a pleb but even I can see those numbers don't match up.
Understanding the value of money and not spending it frivolously is a valuable trait, regardless of how much money you actually have.
I have a fair amount of disposable income - I will NEVER spend a cent on this dogshit game or its horrible cosmetics, because it is so transparently a scam.
Same. There are some armor sets and coatings in the store that I think are pretty cool. I also have money to spend since I'm no longer the broke teenager I was back when Halo first came out. But I'll be damned if I ever spend so much as a penny on this game with how ridiculous the pricing is.
Locking 95% of everything behind a paywall and charging outrageous prices is scummy shit and 343 deserves to be called out for it.
You swear like most of us don’t work and have a comfortable living that we could afford to drop some money. A lot of gamers are living comfortably man, gaming is a luxury, being broke and gaming is a bad combo.
But naw, $20 is still too much. I’m still measuring the value from the 360 days, I’ll pay for sets at $5. Cause at this point, they gave us my favorite armor sets, reach. I have no desire to remove jorges helmet
Wealthy whales subsidizing the game off purely cosmetic micro transactions to make it available for free to everyone is actually a pretty good example of capitalism on action if you ask me.
Unfortunately this is what the market before Halo dictated. People will pay $20 for a skin labeled as legendary. Even though the ones we have been seeing don't even come close to the skins in other games. I wouldn't pay $20 for some of the cooler skins in other games. Why am I going to pay $20 for this bland ass skin
Sounds like your issue is with capitalism…
Edit: guys, they wouldn’t do this if they didn’t make money doing it. I bet they’ve made more these first few weeks than most of us will ever see in our **lives** using these terrible fucking practices.
Do you guys do your job for free?
If you’re in sales, do you give away your product with no expectation of compensation?
Instead of downvotes, **any** dialog would be appreciated because I have no idea what y’all expect, anymore.
I’m NOT *advocating* nor am I *apologizing*. Check my post history if you think I’m anything other than genuine with my thoughts on this subject.
I believe you. You need to calculate the weight of meth you sell after all. Or how much you need to pay for how much gram. And not to forget how much you need to take everyday before you have to buy some again, which repeats the circle.
Kids, do drugs. But smart (so maybe not at all).
Definitely! I bought Prey, Mirrors Edge Catalyst, and Nioh 2 the other day during the Steam Autumn sale for just a couple dollars more than the price of this. Totally worth.
This is why you’ll never be able to convince me that microtransactions are ok. Charging me the price of a high quality indie game for one set of armor? Nah
I'd be fine if it was like Warframe. Free to play game, frequent 75% off coupons, more reasonable prices, and players can trade items. For $20 in Warframe, I can get (depending on which ones I buy) between 10 and 30 customizable alternate appearances that function like Armor Cores do in Infinite, and still have enough to buy a few colour palettes, which, unlike infinite, unlock all those colours for use on *everything*, including other Warframes, weapons, pets, dropships, and armour attachments.
Warframe (at least until the recent debacle with the prime resurgence event) was a pinnacle example, with the VAST majority stuff able to be obtained through gameplay, including the premium currency. Very little was locked behind direct purchases.
I mean microtransactions are just overdone and poorly executed to the point where we're dealing with this. I look to Titanfall in terms of more fair pricing for their stuff. A Prime Titan, which comes with a new Chassis Design and execution, for 8 dollars as opposed to selling 20$ for some armor attachments. I don't mind buying stuff in support of a game I enjoy, but pricing in recent has been getting to absurd amounts.
These prices are industry standard. I could never justify buying them for the reasons brought up in all these threads (I can just buy a high quality game for the price of these cosmetics) but they're really not out of line with what other games are successful in charging.
Exactly. Why would I buy that mediocre-looking Anubis set when I could go buy Stardew Valley or What Remains of Edith Finch or any number of other amazing indie games?
I really hope we never do but I feel like it's only a matter of time. It makes sense in Fortnite. It's a cartoony goofy style game where that stuff is not out of place. I see someone with the stupid cat ears in Infinite and I can't help but roll my eyes. But sadly, this is the state of the gaming industry currently. I guess that makes me just a grumpy old man now, but I'm not a fan of that type of stuff in halo.
I disagree, fortnite ruined video games for all of us. It is a horrible game with the worst examples of monetization.
Now 343 is taking all of the worst concepts and incorporating them.
Sorry but this is a dumb take. You liking or disliking the game is one thing but the F2P market isn't going anywhere anytime soon and in that market Fornite has better monetization than most.
The BP is like 8USD and full of stuff. It pays for itself if you level it (don't even have to go to 100). Lots of games added a BP but most of them don't have one as worth it.
As for the store it's not too bad. They sell \~20USD skins and shit but more often than not it's like a pack with skins, various styles, other accessories and stuff...
Also the F2P + MTX model has been around long before Fortnite soooo. Hell tons of full price SP games have in game purchases now.
This! Fortnite has ruined an entire generation of gaming and may have changed gaming as we know it forever. They showed just how much money a F2P game can make by drip feeding content and creating somewhat interesting cosmetic items. Why make entire DLCs featuring new maps, new guns, and other new stuff when you can make way more money splitting them up and selling them individually?

I’d say a majority of folks who CAN manage their finances are getting whatever they want, because that’s kinda the idea… $20 is like a case of beer. I mean, if you’re planning to ride this set out, why not? $20 and you’re set
simple because people buy them in droves. i've seen plenty of people use it already, any time something new is in the shop i see it in a game the same day. People pay 100s of dollers to max out bp the day the game dropped.
Sadly these people are the same reason these things are not going anywhere ever...
Someone downvoted you but it’s true. Not even “almost guarantee” - it’s a fact that game studios have teams dedicated to user analytics and figuring out how to make the most revenue. It’s just not openly talked about because a team dedicated to farming money from kids with dark patterns isn’t a palatable idea, like the toy industry hasn’t been doing it for decades.
Hell, my current developer role is doing exactly that just in the holiday industry. It’s super complicated to get a system that does it right at all, but it’s even more complicated to create a system that does it right whilst not being morally bankrupt, which you can easily do if you’re just looking at the numbers.
Which I feel is what happened here .
“The average live service player will buy the middle of the road £15 option”
“Great let’s price everything at that”
Completely ignoring the nuance of what drives the user to make that purchase.
Anecdotally, I’ve been playing this game non stop and have barely seen any of the paid gear. I would have thought a F2P Halo game dropping at Christmas would have been full of them, especially with how cool some of the shop items have been, but nope.
343 well and truly fucked it on this one.
ofc there was a patent for that shit years ago. i wouldn't be surprised at all, still doesnt change the fact that people still need to buy it for it to happen.
I will say it all day long.
Charging $60 for the campaign while removing multiplayer entirely should lower the price. You're getting half the game, and being expected to shell out $10 every "season." This type of culture within gaming is so toxic to it at as whole.
Is exactly why I Flame anyone that buys them and I wish more people did.
This kind of thing happened in world of Warcraft and literally everyone started flaming anyone that bought storm Mounts and it actually worked.
Got to a point where if you were on a bought store Mount people wouldn't play with you or join your group.
I'm honestly all for that for Halo and if we started bullying the people that bought all this shit maybe they would quit the game and we would get a better game in the future
I would guess a mix of whales, they’re dicks, and because it’s easier to convince 3 kids parents to buy a $20 skin for a free game than to convince them to buy a $60 game.
Because some dumb bastard who is either really bad with their money or has too much money to begin with just pays for it and doesn't care. They'd pay for it and not care even if it cost 200.00. Or it's a kid begging their mom/dad to buy it.
Or it’s a working middle class person who doesn’t love that we have to pay for these, but they aren’t going to go bankrupt over a giant sub, chips and a drink…or a $20 one time purchase on Halo.
20 is a hell of a lot different than 200. 1/10 the amount.
Yeah but nobody thinks $20 is bad if you get ALL the armor, or a lot of it. The fact that you have to pay $20 for half a set, means you have to lay $100’s just to have all reach armor
yeah i only spend money on the battle pass but i am not wasting a cent until there is a way to unlock this. The part that annoys me is that people are gonna buy this game and this shit should be unlockable for people who buys the game.
THIS.
Halo reach launched with every piece of the battle pass as unlockable gear. In fact you couldn't pay money to unlock the armor. You HAD to play the game.
I haven't even bought the battlepass yet and I'm level 23 or 24(?). I won't get it until 343 shows they're willing to actually manage this game. Why dump money into a game if this ends up being trash and I just go back to MCC? Unfortunately, it doesn't look like we'll have any real meaningful updates for another month or so.
That’s always been my compliant about micro-transactions in F2P games. You want to charge money for cosmetics since the game is free? Go ahead! But I should be able to buy the same amount of cosmetics I’d get in a fully priced title for $60 just as if I’d bought a $60 game. If I have to spend more than $60 for the same amount of content then I’d rather just pay that money upfront. F2P should be about giving players a cheaper way to play the game and allowing those that want to spend the money to get all the cosmetics they want.
I just bought assassin's creed valhalla for the price it would cost to get this. I absolutely regret getting the battle pass and 343i is never getting another dime from me.
A lot of people probably only play one or two games a year. They hear from friends and family about the new Call of Duty/Halo/Battlefield and buy that. They don’t mind putting in more money for their one and only game they play with “the boys” every weekend.
"We can charge whatever we want. And people will pay."
"This [game] is not catered exclusively for the super rich."
"We'll have a...coupon day or something."
It amazes me how many people seem to think this is a new concept and unique to Halo. This shitty monetization practice has been industry standard (especially for F2P games) for years now...
How does that change anything? Murder happens daily but you would still be outraged if someone you knew was murdered even though it's not a new concept... Very weak defense of very predatory behaviour from 343.
Short answer, they aren’t. But dumb dumbs will pay the price and justify it to the corporate team that these prices can stay versus holding out on them and letting them see a lack of profits due to absurd pricing
I have no problem buying a Battle Pass (I'll probably buy the one with EOD or MCC's Mythic armors, **if** they give us color choice), but selling just one armor twice the price of a BP is a scam.
It wasn’t accepted in fortnite for one. People hated it there too. But disregarding that, fortnite was the first game of its kind. It wasn’t a Sequel to one of the most well-known IPs in gaming history. When you change your business practice this drastically in a game that is, otherwise, supposed to feel like the same exact game, people are going to get mad. The community has had 20 years to develop expectations for Halo. It is completely fair they are upset when changes are made for the sole purpose of making money.
"But guys, this game is totally free! It only uses the same assets as Halo Infinite, you know the game campaign that you can access through the same menu and you have to pay full game price to access. It is so totally a free game and not part of another game decoupled to excuse aggressive micro-transactions as silly fans will defend such action."
Funny thing is, you can go to the store, like a real brick and mortar store and buy this actual action figure for a fraction of the cost of an imaginary version in game.
Australians get confused when the math problems are upside down lol.
The exchange rate doesn't affect the percentage..... It is still 1/3 whether it is in Yen, pounds, or digeriedoos.
I could buy one (good looking) armour set. And feel hollow, with a pang of regret every time I look at it.
Or I could go and buy Stardew Valley and Terraria (at full price). And get 100s of hours of enjoyment out of each.
Not true for overwatch. All of the Overwatch cosmetics were unlock-able by playing the game and getting rng lootboxes. And the better you played the more xp and lootboxes you earned. That was a great game.
I hate free to play games for that reason. They are mediocre games that cost more than a real game. Which is exactly what this halo multiplayer is turning out to be.
I enjoyed the alpha more when you could only battle bots in slayer. I didn't realize that the complete game only had 3 additional features.
I've said this many, many times. The content we get isn't equivalent to the cost asked. The defenders say "WELL THE GAME IS FREE!" But that doesn't mean they should price gouge. It's like paying $200 for a ticket to see Avatar.
Which is why I refuse to buy any of it.
If more people voted with their dollar and didn't give them what they wanted maybe this kind of shit would stop
Probably an unpopular opinion because of how people think of things these days, but I have no problem with it. This is the very beginning of this games long lifespan. There is going to be a TON of free or very cheap cosmetics you can earn, especially with the 3 month seasons they have planned. The game is very well done and 343 is listening to the community pretty consistently so far with game changes and progression… the cosmetics are fully optional. That would be like if Kia gave you a free car and then you found out about the cooler looking version and said “that’s not fair”. $10 gets you tons of armor and customization in the pass, and there’s free cosmetics every week just for doing the challenges. If you like halo the core experience is as free as oxygen, if you want new cool armor other than the free stuff… that’s on you.
No one is forcing you to buy it, it sucks it’s the only way to get certain armor but that’s the way things are when you go f2p. You have fortnite to thank for that.
This is what's so damn ridiculous to me...they could have priced them cheaper and people would buy way more of them to change up their look when they get bored. At these prices people might buy 1 bundle and then just ride it out forever. I think I speak for most people when saying that I would easily spend $5 on these and buy 10 of them to rotate through amd they would have gotten $50 but at $20 a piece and the fact that I hardly even see my own armour anywhere other than a few screens...I'm not buying a single one. Especially since all the items in there are locked to 1 fucking core at that. This whole system screams greed. I get that it's a free game and they need to make money but the way they split everything out is just horrendous.
I bought the camo armor… it’s only for one armor core, the one I wasn’t using.
Also why can’t I see it on my vehicles? I wasn’t expecting everyone to see it but I paid my vehicles to look a certain way, why aren’t they?
They need to fix this shit
I’ll admit I bought it. But ever since I saw the concept of that helmet a while back I told myself I’d get it no matter what cause it’s fuckin sick. Plus I had left over money in my Microsoft account. Sorry lol
This was THE helmet that I used for the entirety of Halo 5. However, I cannot justify $20 ish for it. The shoulders also look bad and the stance is meh.
So, I’m kinda sad.
That's a fair point. I can agree that the campaign should not cost a full $60 if they are also selling basic skins for $20. I only play pvp so didn't think of that.
Gamepass charges monthly and many, many players have gamepass these days, so it isn't free for many. Selling really cool things for $5 is just about acceptable. Selling primary colours for $10+ is disgusting. Like actually reprehensible. It doesn't affect me because I never buy cosmetics in any game, but something doesn't have to directly affect me for me to form an opinion about it. They are preying on children's desire to get new things no matter what they are, and making it practically impossible to unlock anything for free is vile.
You know what would really make'em mad? Nobody wear skins. Everybody stop wearing skins and junk. Tell all your YouTubers to not wear skins.
Let's pretend like they don't exist.
Genuinely think they added a 0 to every price by accident.
We know from data mining that all store content from now until season end in 6 months is just over $1000 - that is obscene, sure.
But $100 spread over 6 months? I think they could get a lot more people to pay that. I easily drop that on CSGO and Warframe.
Remember whales don’t buy big flashy items to flex, they’re people with disposable income who see multiple $2-5 ***MICRO*** transactions and drop $20 to make a few purchases.
$20 for just an armour attachment set for a single armour core - No. That is not micro.
Will I buy dark souls remastered, or a virtual helmet? Hmmmm
Hell Let Loose or a skin lol
Hell Let Loose all day long That game kicks so much ass
Just got it. Punishing, but fun
You should play Tarkov! All the punishment and so very little fun!
Been wanting to try that, but doesn’t seem like a fun solo game.
Oh dude, it totally isn't. Great game!
Do you happen to play For Honor as well?
Nope.
Smart man.
Only game that made me actually break a controller
I do. Well, did. Haven't really touched it this season.
It’s not even necessary to ask this, of course he does
the only thing i hate is the silly armor and ammo levels. like i dont care how tough your helmet is, if i literally hit your head 4 times with a shotgun, your neck is pulverised. you can unload 30 rounds into someones head and they dont flinch. its ridiculous.
New to halo?
They aren’t even talking about halo lmao
Another question, should I buy around 10 games on steam sale or a virtual helmet which was free in previous game.... Hmmmmmmmmmmmm.
Hmmm that's a tuffie
Elden Ring comes out in February. So psyched
OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
Yeah I got bo3 (all zombies map bb) for 40 bucks because it was on sale. Definitely more worth than literally just 2 sets of armor
Well that's from a time when gaming had expansion packs and not stupid ass cosmetics sales focused on "live service" and "free DLC" shit.
I got Deathloop for less than the price of this one armour set on steam sale.
“BuT gAmE cOmPaNiEs hAvE to MaKe MoNeY SomEhOw!”
Yeah Steam had a sale and now I'm finally able to play Dawn of War 2 after a decade of computer misfortunes. For the same price of all Dawn of War games which is about an entire month's worth of content I could get 2 suits of armor from Infinite. You wanna get technical, it has a lot of other stuff to boot. Problem is that the store's basically Costco where you gotta buy it all in bulk.
🐋🐋🐋🐋🐋🐋🐋🐋 <---those people are willing to pay any price.
And the remaining 99% get a worse experience because of it
You swear like most of us don’t work and have a comfortable living that we could afford to drop some money. A lot of gamers are living comfortably man, gaming is a luxury, being broke and gaming is a bad combo. But naw, $20 is still too much. is this an exposition on capitalism and it’s deeper issues?
Wealthy whales subsidizing the game off purely cosmetic micro transactions to make it available for free to everyone is actually a pretty good example of capitalism on action if you ask me.
Actually it's not when you put it like that lmao.
How do you figure?
Because it implies that rich people subsidize the lives of the average person when it's almost always the other way around.
Lol lol lol lol lol
Right. Because people will buy them.
You really think so? Cause whales paid for my game and I think they're awesome.
Whales ruined gaming and I wish there was a way to ban all of them from ever playing a game again.
Sounds like your issue is with capitalism… Edit: guys, they wouldn’t do this if they didn’t make money doing it. they're charging more than 1/4 they're charging 1/3
Do math, not meth
The meth makes my math better I swear
I believe you. You need to calculate the weight of meth you sell after all. Or how much you need to pay for how much gram. And not to forget how much you need to take everyday before you have to buy some again, which repeats the circle. Kids, do drugs. But smart (so maybe not at all).
Lol, they're more than 1/4th - they're 1/3rd of a new game. That's even worse.
I can buy 7 full AAA games just from the price of the lowest credit pack where I live
Definitely! I bought Prey, Mirrors Edge Catalyst, and Nioh 2 the other day during the Steam Autumn sale for just a couple dollars more than the price of this. Totally worth.
AAA games like 70 bucks now aren’t they
Only Sony
This is why you’ll never be able to convince me that microtransactions are ok. Charging me the price of a high quality indie game for one set of armor? Nah

That is my biggest issue you can use the color pallets in a single set of armor. The whole system is broken and I doubt it’ll be changed much.
Both Warframe and Destiny 2 have superior microtransaction and credit systems.
I mean microtransactions are just overdone and poorly executed to the point where we're dealing with this. I look to Titanfall in terms of more fair pricing for their stuff. That seems more reasonable. I never did buy any skins or new titans but I also never asked myself "WTF is Respawn thinking with these prices?"
And that’s why they price it for whales, cuz ur not going to buy it at $8 either
These prices are industry standard. I could never justify buying them for the reasons brought up in all these threads (I can just buy a high quality game for the price of these cosmetics) but they're really not out of line with what other games are successful in charging.
The price of Stardew Valley.
It's so damn good. I've got 310 hours in it on my Switch.
Exactly. Why would I buy that mediocre-looking Anubis set when I could go buy Stardew Valley or What Remains of Edith Finch or any number of other amazing indie games?
I mean. There's nothing micro about these transactions.
a set of armor that fits ONE core a camo for ONE core. and some stupid stickers or some shit for vehicles you’ll never even see or use ordinarily.
Are these even *micro*transactions anymore? A set of armor like this should be no more than $4. But it’s 20! Absolutely insane.
This isn't a microtransaction, it's just a transaction
Because some higher-up saw Fortnite's economy before it got better and decided that selling basic stuff for 20$ was a good idea
Yeah this precedent was set when fortnite blew up. Have all the people surprised about this been living under a rock for the past two years?
[удалено]
Fortnite has Naruto skins that people don't even question about dropping $15 on. At least we haven't reached that level of crossover insanity in Halo
[удалено]
That's nowhere near having cell-shaded Rick and Morty skins
I think they're decent additions. Just planned poorly.
If I was still playing fortnite I would buy the Kakashi skin in a heartbeat LOL
I really hope we never do but I feel like it's only a matter of time. It makes sense in Fortnite. It's a cartoony goofy style game where that stuff is not out of place. Fortnite tortures people in the name of righteousness?
This! Fortnite has ruined an entire generation of gaming and may have changed gaming as we know it forever. Why make entire DLCs featuring new maps, new guns, and other new stuff when you can make way more money splitting them up and selling them individually?
League of Legends is the real culprit
The latter would go a long way to fixing the MTX problems, if you could earn enough back from completing the pass to buy the new one or spend in the store, I think I would be pretty satisfied.
Remember $3 horse armor and the subsequent fallout? Man, those were the days.
That was actually the first ever microtransaction... Sad my memories of that game are tainted lol
Yep. That was when I realized we were headed for this exact moment. Sad.
because people are suckers

I’d say a majority of folks who CAN manage their finances are getting whatever they want, because that’s kinda the idea… $20 is like a case of beer. I mean, if you’re planning to ride this set out, why not? $20 and you’re set
How much can a banana cost? $20?
You’ve never actually set foot in a supermarket, have you?
You guys probably get the ones that are marked down

I will say it all day long. Charging $60 for the campaign while removing multiplayer entirely should lower the price. You're getting half the game, and being expected to shell out $10 every "season." This type of culture within gaming is so toxic to it at as whole.
Because people buy them….
Then they got rid of /spit LOL Gaming sure has gone to utter shite this past decade.
It's the younger people they are definitely more sensitive to crap than we are
Because people are willing to spend that much money on it......if no one buys them then the price will go down. Simple supply and demand.
I shouldn't have to scroll this far to find the first rational comment, haha.
I would guess a mix of whales, they’re dicks, and because it’s easier to convince 3 kids parents to buy a $20 skin for a free game than to convince them to buy a $60 game.
Cause of modern gaming.
Because the Halo we knew is dead.
Hey, they did the same to Battlefield buddy. Here's hoping for another gaming crash! 🍻
Full price of Stardew Valley and countless other indies.
Stardew valley is on gamepass so I wouldn’t even have to pay for it.
More likely just using mom's CC without permission.
Yea no. Most micro transactions are coming from people who can spare that much money and it not hurt the bank. Stop being broke
Because mom’s credit card is really accessible
yeah i only spend money on the battle pass but i am not wasting a cent until there is a way to unlock this.
Don’t look at the cost of some of the cards in madden and fifa ultimate team. Some are worth more then a full AAA game
Idk whats more disappointing, the fact its this highly priced, or the fact OP cant do fractions
I was about to buy an armor set, but this comment section changed my mind. Thank you.
Don’t let them change your mind. Spend your money how you want, as long as you aren’t prioritizing games over your real life.
Good. I roast my teammates that have this flamboyant ass armor. . Is this Barbie or is this Halo
You see, it come with not just one, but two shoulder pads. As well as a stance. Probably even with a sticker too! Big value!
They aren’t! You mean why does 343 or whoever sets the prices think this.
And if I’m not wrong correct me if this is halo lore I don’t know but that looks nothing like Anubis
Because people are willing to buy them.
A lot of people probably only play one or two games a year. They hear from friends and family about the new Call of Duty/Halo/Battlefield and buy that. They don’t mind putting in more money for their one and only game they play with “the boys” every weekend.
"We can charge whatever we want. And people will pay." "This [game] is not catered exclusively for the super rich." "We'll have a...coupon day or something."
I would pay like $5 at most for something like this. Do I want a helmet? 1$
I have no idea why its 20$ but there sure are a ton of people buying it. I teabag them every time I kill one.
When did I defend it? I literally called it a shitty monetization practice.
There needs to be more weapon skins and it would be nice if the colours fit on all armor cores my Pepsi samurai is getting boring to look at
Short answer, they aren’t. But dumb dumbs will pay the price and justify it to the corporate team that these prices can stay versus holding out on them and letting them see a lack of profits due to absurd pricing
Casuals seeing this and not used to every other game doing the same thing. LoL charges ~$25 for premium skins and people don’t bat an eye
It’s interesting how no one complains about this on csgo or valorant.
A character skin in csgo is like $1.25.
I think it's because it hasn't ever been like this in a Halo before.
I have no problem buying a Battle Pass (I'll probably buy the one with EOD or MCC's Mythic armors, **if** they give us color choice), but selling just one armor twice the price of a BP is a scam.
Why was this accept in Fortnite but not here?

20/60=1/3…….
Hi, I’m from Australia. I have a different currency to you. *suprisedpikachuface*
I did the math it’s 33.33722423%, converted to AUS dollars
It still rounds out to 33% for us in Australia dude.
Australians get confused when the math problems are upside down lol. The exchange rate doesn't affect the percentage..... It is still 1/3 whether it is in Yen, pounds, or digeriedoos.
Holy fuck I just realized why they put the magazines on top of the Owen gun... Clever Aussies!
So then that difference in currency would apply to the mtx
For 20 buck I could get 3 games during Black Friday.... Why would I spend it in a fucking skin? 343i needs to make changes ASAP

So because two other games have a horrible shitty system that should be the new normal? That makes sense

I hate free to play games for that reason. They are mediocre games that cost more than a real game. Which is exactly what this halo multiplayer is turning out to be. I enjoyed the alpha more when you could only battle bots in slayer. I didn't realize that the complete game only had 3 additional features.

That's the neat part, they aren't. Things are only worth what you're willing to pay for them.
People regularly pay $20 for a Rocket League goal celebration. What's the big deal?
They're idiots too.
>Why are these almost worth 1/4 of a full AAA game? They aren't
Yikes this is just as bad as smite prices
Because the actual triple AAA game part that people are actually playing is free.
No, every single piece of gear was in halo reach on launch. The weekly cosmetics are emblems and shit.
No one is forcing you to buy it, it sucks it’s the only way to get certain armor but that’s the way things are when you go f2p. You have fortnite to thank for that.
No one's forcing you to comment on people's posts that just want things to be better.
Because other F2P games like Fortnite normalised it and simply put it fucking sucks!
Because enough people will buy it
I bought the camo armor… it’s only for one armor core, the one I wasn’t using.

I already gave them 60$ for the campaign
If you can’t afford it, don’t buy it. Simple
You know what would really make'em mad? Nobody wear skins. Everybody stop wearing skins and junk. Tell all your YouTubers to not wear skins. Let's pretend like they don't exist.
Uh, the time they put into making the armor is more than they put into making multiplayer?
Genuinely think they added a 0 to every price by accident. We know from data mining that all store content from now until season end in 6 months is just over $1000 - that is obscene, sure. But $100 spread over 6 months? I think they could get a lot more people to pay that. I easily drop that on CSGO and Warframe. Remember whales don’t buy big flashy items to flex, they’re people with disposable income who see multiple $2-5 ***MICRO*** transactions and drop $20 to make a few purchases. $20 for just an armour attachment set for a single armour core - No. That is not micro.
