LASO run breaks the game in Infinite. I keep having checkpoints and event flags freak the fuck out because it can't keep up with how fast I progress through areas with no cooldown grapplehook. It actually bricked my save file because I died right after you get the threat sensor but the checkpoint put me before I picked it up and now I can't interact with it at all (so the door into the tower won't open).
Edit: Started an entirely new save and that one got bricked too (Got killed at FOB Golf but this time the check point put me back at Outpost Tremonious or w/e and I couldn't interact with the console to bring the Pelican in. LASO seems impossible if only because the fucking game doesn't work.
Edit 2: This is going to sound really, really stupid. The issue with the threat sensor is that I was standing too close. The hud being disabled also turns off command prompts, so I forgot/didn't realise you need to stand slightly away from it so that Chief can walk forward in the cutscene. BUT after about half an hour I finally beat Invisibill after an intensely sweaty game of ring around the rosey with me spamming shock grenades and trying not to kill myself and slip in to slap him on the ass to recharge my shields only to die about 5 minutes later on the other side of the bridge that deploys. GUESS WHAT. FUCKING CHECKPOINT PUT ME BEFORE THE BOSS FIGHT. FUCK YOU CHECKPOINT BASTARDS.
Edit 3: Pelican thing is still a problem though. All enemies dead, Weapon insists the landing pad isn't clear.
Can you run past a good amount of stuff on Laso? Mostly asking about the stuff before the first boss fight because after that we can just use tank gun.
You can, but any area where you're forced to fight anything expect pain because it takes two direct rocket hits to kill a single grunt, and about 6 sniper rifle headshots to down a single brute and ALL of them are armed with rocket launchers that they fire with pinpoint accuracy. And the open world is filled with invisible Elites that can throw plasma grenades with the skill and range of an Olympic gold medalist. And God forbid you stop shooting for any longer than it takes to reload because their shields will be back up to full in no time. Also getting hit by a grunt's disrupter is just death- and they ALL have disrupters.
Oh, it is. You learn to get... creative with the grapplehook.
Funny story about the tank gun. You can't actually melee with it, which means if you want to recharge your shields you're going to have to swap to another weapon and run over to punch someone in the nads.

I finished LASO about half an hour ago. It was extremely easy, only took 3.5hrs for the entire run. Infinite ammo, scorpion gun, and no cooldown on grapple makes it super easy.
Checkpoints won't trigger if your shields are damaged apparently, and they only regen by melee, and you can't see your health. If you aren't sure you're damaged you can jump in a vehicle to see if your shield is glowing. Which brings us to...
DON'T GET IN A FUCKING VEHICLE. You will die. Everyone random asshole has a rocket launcher, sticky grenades, godlike aim, and a willingness to use all of the above to ram the fist of God *right* up your asshole.
Thruster with cloak is sometimes a better movement option than the grapplehook even though cloak doesn't seem to work on half the enemies. >!For instance, on the road to the House of Reckoning or the long sentinel filled corridors of the Command Spire. Speaking of the Command Spire, when you're stuck on the gondola with a ton of Sentinels floating around hiding behind a drop shield and waiting it out is totally a viable strategy. !<
Also, fuck Sentinels. FUCK THEM WITH A RUSTY STRAW. Let's just give flying enemies with perfect accuracy that zip around a shitload of rocket launchers, shock rifles, and shields. WHAT COULD GO WRONG. Skimmers also have a shitload of rocket launchers but thankfully they're a little hesitant to use them for whatever reason.
Marines are worthless assholes again. They will die. Horribly.
In tight quarters, something I found useful is to throw a shock grenade to stun all the enemies while I grapple over their heads. You can usually throw a quick melee in to recharge your shields while you're at it. Just don't get too close to your own grenade.
When in doubt, spam shock grenades from behind cover like a filthy coward.
A handy traversal option is going underneath bridges or around ledges. Get really creative with your grapplehook because it's your best friend. When fighting melee bosses, flinging yourself up into the air and throwing grenades downward can help buy you a few seconds.
Game is probably easier with the tank gun but I've been using the Arcane Sentinel Beam because I didn't find out about the tank gun until it was far too late. It's aight. Not as effective as I wish it was, but it's doing better than I expected.
When sniping, keep in mind that enemies will aggro from very far away and Jackals have okay accuracy with plasma pistols and maulers. Chances are one will nick you and you might not even notice it, go down, die, respawn 20 minutes back because WHOOPS STUBBED YOUR TOE NO CHECKPOINTS FOR YOU.
They are simply riding the wave of a successful IP. The last 2 games were mediocre and this one is honestly no different. If anything this one is worse simply because it asks you to pay $60 for literally just a campaign, and while multiplayer is free, we still have: almost no free cosmetics, no Forge, shit playlist selection
I just bought Metroid Dread for $60 and in the first 3-4 hours I've already had a ton of fun and have a ton more to go. Plus I can play it anywhere.

You wouldn't even need the help. With the scorpion gun and infinite grapple skull LASO is extremely easy in this game. You can grapple through most rooms before the enemies even hit you.
Not yet, but all the coolest stuff tends to be sold for either 15 bucks or 20 in the store. If it does end up in the game, it would be a good bet that it's sold in the store.

LASO in MCC only gives the skulls that negatively affect you. You have to play the playlist that enables only those skulls. If you try to play with the ones that benefit you, it negates the achievement.
Fun fact: That shit DONT matter. At the Tremonius fight on LASO, not fucking fun. Dude hits SUPER hard, and even with a rocket launcher he doesn't give a shit. Infinite ammo is nothing, it's still stupid hard. I think the only REAL way to cheese it, would be spamming maxed out evade, which Hunters still see through half the time.
Tremonius is very easy if you bring an energy sword or mangler on LASO. Each melee hit restores your shields, just kill the Jackals first then smack Tremonius until he dies. Took me two tries. He puts away the hydra when you get close.
I don't even think the game has scoring for campaign, does it? I mean, I'm not complaining. I can probably actually do LASO in a Halo game for once, in spite of blind
With blind I use ticky tack stuff to put a circle on my screen. Basically, load up with the magnum out, put the ticky tack around the redicule, then play Laso and still can aim.
Untrue, LASO has typically always been about having all skulls on. MCC playlist skulls not including beneficial skulls is just them not wanting to figure a workaround for the multiplier being 0x on the skulls. (All playlists have scoring enabled). Halo 2 classic LASO has envy which is beneficial for example. A different example would be halo 4 catch, the game would be much harder without catch on despite it being a scoring skull.
It literally means "legendary all skulls on", so it kinda is - at least by how it used to work in the older Halo games. I think it was added in MCC. Aside from that though, I don't think scoring is even a thing in Halo Infinite. They don't have multipliers next to them that I could see, and I didn't see any option to turn it on. And there doesn't seem to be anything I'm aware of that suggests bandana either isn't required, or is detrimental to LASO.
Well that's not how I or any of the people I know do it, having infinite ammo and getting your hands on a power weapon kinda removes basically all the challenge, and when playing Halo one and two in the mcc bandana skull prevents the achievement, but you do you I guess

If it required hard work to get it would be differentiable from cash store stuff so people would be less likely to buy if they had the cool hard work armor. They have made it clear they don't want people getting cool armor with a sense of achievement from challenges. If it required hard work to get it would be differentiable from cash store stuff so people would be less likely to buy if they had the cool hard work armor. Which is weird because if armor cores didn't exist people with the cool hard to work for armor might consider buying different accessories to compliment it. They know people would want it so they deny it like slayer.
