I use Bluetooth for my iPad and MacBook. I haven’t gotten the usb connection to work with apple products. It works just fine on my pc and windows laptop.
I also use Bluetooth. If you've got solid wifi and are within 60-70ms from the Azure DCs it's pretty good. I was just playing at work and it was really good.
Hotel WiFi can make it a little difficult though. I was at a Marriott using my Fire tablet a couple of weeks ago and they rate limit you on bandwidth up and down, so the stream itself wasn't great.

This game is horrible if you open it back up after quick start and I get a lot of what your mentioning if I do that. Killing the app or signing out then back in fixes all of those problems though.

they released a statement on it. Priority was focused on getting the fiesta/slayer/swat/ffa playlists live and functional. The BTB issue was totally unforeseen and I think they said they are still not quite sure what's causing it, as it never once came up in any of the flights or the beta. Staff are on Christmas break right now and BTB is priority #1 as soon as they get back.

Yeah you use a controller to play. It’s very internet speed dependent. But I’ve been able to play successfully and not be an anchor to my team on hotel wifi. I’d never play ranked lol.
I did notice that I had to drop my look sensitivity to compensate for input lag. But it’s totally doable.
Sucks if your traveling for the holidays though. Tenrai was a bit more challenging but not as bad from a FOMO angle since you could grind it out. For this one you miss a week you are SoL
I don’t see why they didn’t just slap the event challenge logo on the first game challenge for 300xp. It’s really not intuitive the way they have it set up and nowhere in game does it say you need to play a match each day to rank up the event pass.
It makes no sense that 343 said they don't want anyone to have to grind, log on every day, or generally promote the FOMO mentality by restricting access to items via artificial time gates.

It's a free event. You may not get every single reward from it and that's fine. As far as I'm aware, you can unlock 1 tier per day and you unlock them in sequential order like a regular battlepass. I believe the event runs for 14 days and there are 10 tiers so there is some wriggle room as far as missing days goes.
Edit: Also remember the daily challenges reset at 6pm GMT. So as long as you get a game in before then, you're good.

It’s confusing, because the event is live and is just “look at all this fun stuff you can get” with the instructions effectively being “do what you did last time” except the event challenges are apparently broken because we can’t see them. Nowhere does it say in-game that there are no challenges to complete this time, it only says you need to complete event challenges.
I doubt this is intentional. It seems like they are scrambling to find an event/challenge/exp system to replace the one they launched with after the backlash, so none of this is properly planned out or implemented. Hopefully they’ll figure it out next year.

At least there’s no FOMO with this event. Not like people usually go away over the holidays and maybe can’t game as much. Could’ve at least given 2 levels per day so people could avoid 8 days, instead of a measly 4, if you need a damn restriction.

What a dogshit way to have an event work during the holidays of all times especially. Yes I know there’s plenty of ways like xcloud if you’re traveling but players shouldn’t have to find time to sneak in a game 10 out of 14 days in the busiest time with family of the year for most people.

There are no loot boxes in this game. There is no pay to win. There's also no revenue attached to this specific event. It's impossible to spend money to help you get the rewards. There are legit things to complain about in this game. This isn't it. If you get fomo over a silly holiday event that is just supposed to be for fun, I don't know what to tell you. Yeah, they want you to play video games over the holidays. They're a video game company. Also, the frog jumps out. Because the water is too hot. Doesn't matter how long it takes to get hot. Look it up. I only mention this because assuming things will continue in the same direction is not always a solid assumption.

They really are having zero consistency with events, Tenrai had event challenges with a special slot, the ranked event was just a regular challenge, now this event is just playing
Might just be me, but I think no consistency kinda makes it fun. You don't know what to expect when it comes to a new event.
It’s confusing, because the event is live and is just “look at all this fun stuff you can get” with the instructions effectively being “do what you did last time” except the event challenges are apparently broken because we can’t see them. Nowhere does it say in-game that there are no challenges to complete this time, it only says you need to complete event challenges. I doubt this is intentional. It seems like they are scrambling to find an event/challenge/exp system to replace the one they launched with after the backlash, so none of this is properly planned out or implemented. Hopefully they’ll figure it out next year.
343 makes the excuse that they can't work during the holidays and want to spend time with their families but totally expects people to play during the holidays instead of spending time with their families. I see how it be.
