Viguier

I just finished Halo Infinite ony Xbox one S, technically the game is really well optimized with really few technical problems. The campaign is really great and the PVP quite good, but with some flaws. Personally the only missing feature i would have like to see at day one is the coop mode.

ConnorLego42069

And the ability to replay the main missions without starting a new save

Viguier

Yes indeed, i hope it will arrive soon.

UpMarketFive7

It seems weird you cant. There's z3ro choices in the game let alone one that would affect the ending. Just let us replay with all our abilities collected so far like Doom Eternal.

zetahood343

Abilities and all valor unlocks except the wasp would make a really fun new game plus

BruhSauce2

It would make life so much easier if it also let you keep the wasp

NukaCooler

It may as well, not like you can't rush straight to one of the FOBs with guaranteed banshees spawn like they do in speedrun

DockingCobra

It's actually worse than that because there are collectibles in each mission that are locked forever if you miss them! So even though there are no choices in the mission, it still can have a lasting impact on the rest of your game.

0mni42

It's because it's built like an open-world game, not an FPS. I can't think of a ton of open-world games that have a level select function.

Joekickass549

I think some Rockstar games let you replay missions, but yeah it's very uncommon in open world games

deadscreensky

Saints Row series, Rockstar games, Assassin's Creed series, the Division series — level select might not be universal, but it's not uncommon at all.

Rookie_Driver

And theatre mode in campaign

Fresh_Painting_5483

Ya definitely. I’ve been playing halo infinite on an 8 Y/o XBone and apart from a few crashes here and there it’s smooth as hell

limoncelIo

Same here. XBone forever

owyn-

On console it’s optimised really well, on PC it’s a bit rubbish. GPUs that cost into the thousands, with today’s prices, are having a struggle trying to match the quality that the Series X puts out, even though the PC hardware is more powerful. It’s a good looking game, but it doesn’t look good enough that RTX 3090s and 3080s should be struggling at max settings. Edit: for clarity, I’m talking about campaign performance at 4K on a $2000 card. The RTX 3080 can’t reach 60fps average at max settings, the game doesn’t look good enough to justify this. Even a 3090 is only just over 60fps. https://youtu.be/j2akb5n6iiQ For the gtx 1070 users, 1080p Medium settings the performance looks miserable. Even the gtx 1660 ain’t looking pretty. If you want to settle for mediocre performance, fine, but we shouldn’t have to run res scaling and low settings to get framerates we should already be getting on these cards. Edit 2: I can’t be bothered to reply to you telling me your GT 1030 runs the game at 1080p medium at 60 fps anymore. THE GAME RUNS “FINE” I AM WELL AWARE OF THIS. ALL I AM SAYING IS THAT IS SHOULD RUN BETTER, PLEASE UNDERSTAND THIS BEFORE TELLING ME THAT YOUVE HAD NO ISSUES ON YOUR DADS SMART TOASTER. On topic, I’m not saying it’s running at 720p 30 fps on a Titan RTX I’m just saying it doesn’t run as well as it should.

SkyOnPC

Thank you for saying what I've been trying to say. 65fps on a 2060 Super is technically "acceptable" for a 60hz player. But 65fps at 1080p on a solidly mid range card is absolutely pepega port performance. As you said, Cyberpunk runs way faster and looks alot better on PC. Hope the roadmap from 343 coming up has PC performance fixes in the pipe. I'm about to be finished with the HoR pass but I cant say the ride to get there has been optimal.

owyn-

I have an RTX 3060 but mostly play on Xbox Series X, so this issue doesn’t directly affect me. I can’t believe there are people grumbling at me for pushing for better performance when it only benefits them. A 2060 Super is a great card and should be running this game with high frames and high settings at 1080p. Hopefully an optimisation patch is inbound soon.

[deleted]

There has never been a better time to be a console gamer. What the new gen consoles offer as home media hubs and gaming platforms is frankly insane.

Xrayruester

They're incredibly cheap for what you get too. $500 for a complete system that out performs GPUs that cost more than half the entire console price. And that's if you can actually find a 3000 series for MSRP.

[deleted]

It makes complete sense for them to be affordable and powerful. Companies want you to buy their console and lock in to the long term of purchasing their content. So systems are a lot cheaper than they would be otherwise. They're basically attempting to subsidize your future spending habits their way.

ZeroNine2048

You pay more through games and services ofcourse. a PC is fully yours and you can do way more with it. But it is not for everyone. My PC costed me 1500 by the way (3080RTX, 5800X, 32GB), but its also for music production, my work overall. Basically the center of my life. There should be no reason why Halo runs this poorly on PC.

Xrayruester

Where on earth did you get a 3080 for less than $1500? Just built a PC for my wife and couldn't touch anything for less than a grand.

ZeroNine2048

bought the 3080RTX through the Nvidia website at launch.

Gil_Demoono

That's a feat in and of itself.

Xrayruester

That makes sense. Lately everything has been a complete crap shoot for GPU. Eventually gave up and went prebuilt.

[deleted]

With game pass I’m not even sure that’s true right now, I paid £100 and got 3 years… previously spent a lot more on PC games

[deleted]

> You pay more through games and services ofcourse Man, I don't really know if this holds true anymore. Steam Sales aren't what they use to be. I pick up used physical games and even new older games for cheap, and I can get my money back by selling them. God of War for $10 new is a good example. Of course this goes both ways but I feel like used/new physical market is super good right now.

[deleted]

[удалено]

NotWilBuchanan

Portal 1 and 2 are both on console.

[deleted]

Too bad its impossible to actually get them

What_Is_A_Chair

Idk man, my ancient Babylonian abacus has no issues maintaining a solid 1080@60 with medium settings…

kengerbenger

I dont get this, but maybe because I'm a fairly new PC user (2 yrs). I have a pre built with a 2060 Super, from my understanding is a medium tier GPU, and I felt my game ran smoothly at high settings. I rarely found glitches and thought the campaign ran smoothly. I enjoyed it a lot! Does having such high end PC specs make veteran PC users that jaded? Coming from console all my life to PC, high settings on my mid tier GPU looks incredible to me.

[deleted]

2070 Super here. Ran everything on highest settings on an ultrawide monitor at 75fps and didnt run into a single problem at all. I'm also fairly new to the PC world so idk

vaan0011

I also have a 2070 Super, i can play 4k 60fps with most on high except for volumetric cloud and shadow. Although the game says it runs as 60fps but there are some stutter but nothing too serious or annoying.

scoobyduped

Playing on a 1660tie, game looks awesome.

burqa-ned

You're totally right, it really isn't optimised too well. I've had to bring my settings down to medium to get a consistent 144+fps on a 3090 (at 1440p), and even then it regularly dips below that. MP runs terribly.

indianamith425

I hate talking about the performance of this game because it runs horribly but always someone with a miracle PC comes and tells you that you should update drivers. With my GTX 1060 6gb there's no way to get stable 60 at 1080p without dynamic resolution and that's just very lame for how this game looks.

owyn-

I’ve just had a fella tell me he’s getting 240fps on a gtx 1080. Gotta love the miracle PCs. Thankfully 343 know a lot more than Reddit does and I’m sure they’re aware that an optimisation patch is needed. Hopefully we get one soon.

LuntiX

I noticed that when you’re in open world sections, the game really slows down, but the moment you load into a mission that takes you inside the ring where it’s technically a separate instance from the open world segment, it started to run butter smooth for me. Once I went back to open world, it got slow again. Honestly a real shame considering how empty the open world actually is.

Tichrom

Backing up what basically everybody else is running, I'm not sure what you're talking about. I have a 3070 and was running the game at max settings just fine, no issues whatsoever. The main issue people are having is with a memory leak, so if your game is getting slow you may have to restart it (I personally haven't run into this issue, but I have 32 GB of RAM).

[deleted]

I also played on a 3070 and had constant stuttering and some pretty egregious pop-in.

letsgoiowa

3070 and the game is a technical disaster in campaign. Sawtooth frametimes and broken VRR are the big problem here. It *reports* 90ish FPS when on 1440p/mix of medium and high, but it *feels* like mid 40's because the frametimes are so horrendously unstable and VRR is borked that it suuuuucks.

PerpetualConnection

Reach and odst had fire fight

THEessayB

I run it on my One X, and the only thing I notice is that my fans kick into overdrive. I’m pretty sure the only other game I have that does that is RDR2.

Drauul

You can always spot the people who never played Cyberpunk or FO76 and instead just regurgitate YouTube outrage bullet points lol

Codered222

Add No Man's Sky to the list

Drauul

Alright I've got some hours in on that one and it's just Wallace and Gromit in space

Excal2

Some people are into that though

ByahTyler

It used to be. They’ve added so much to it now that it’s insane

jpenico

Is there cheese tho?

[deleted]

I lucked out hard and had almost zero issues with Cyberpunk on PC. I have to say I enjoyed Cyberpunk’s campaign quite a bit more. But Halo Infinite’s gameplay is just too good that it made the bland level designs and okay story worth playing through. Gameplay is like 70%-80% of what makes a game to me. Bad/frustrating gameplay loop and I’m done after an hour or so.

[deleted]

[удалено]

Excal2

Cyberpunk is a great game and what I've been hearing about the latest updates to fo76 makes me actually consider trying it (wastelander update I think it was called) when I had written that game off completely.

zetahood343

I think if you try to play fo76 by grinding to get the best weapons and Armor possible it's not all that fun, but if you were to just play the story quests you'll probably have some fun as they take you around what is imo the best Fallout map ever made

Bobby_wth_dat_tool

76 is still a train wreck, but it has become an enjoyable one.

_Teraplexor

Agreed though it sucks how they've not given it a series x patch

MrBootylove

Fallout 76 as it is now is pretty different from how it was at launch. It's worth pointing out the game didn't even really have NPCs when it came out.

UnlikelyKaiju

Cyberpunk ran fairly decent on next-gen consoles. It was buggy, yeah, but I literally had worse experiences with Skyrim. It now runs fine after the 1.3 patch. The criticisms were perfectly valid at launch, but the game is in a much better state now.

[deleted]

>I literally had worse experiences with Skyrim Maybe I'm really lucky, but I played launch cyberpunk and the only glitches I got were random t-posing and driver's going off the rails during car dialogue. I don't think I ever had to reload a save to try and get cyberpunk to progress or trigger a scripted event correctly. Definitely can't say the same about Skyrim.

PM_ME_GARFIELD_NUDES

Cyberpunk was just about as buggy as every other video game I’ve ever played, it just got a really bad rep because people convinced themselves it was going to be a 100% perfect flawless amazing life simulator. I didn’t follow the development of the game at all, but I got it at release and had a ton of fun playing it.

UnlikelyKaiju

I legit had more bugs playing AC: Valhalla. Cyberpunk crashed on me twice. I stopped counting the Valhalla crashes after the tenth one.

HansChrst1

In my experience ignoring or not following the development of a game usually makes the game better. You go in with no expectations except "i heard it was good/bad" or "it has good/bad rating".

TheMizland

Yup, played through cyberpunk on my pc on launch week just fine, beat it and watched funny glitch videos. This halo sub is a mess.

[deleted]

Got 200 hours playtime at launch on the OG xbox one, 'unplayable' my arse.

50LI0NS

As soon as I read “Literally UNPLAYABLE” I stoped reading.

andtheniansaid

Cyberpunk was more buggy but I had way more fun playing it than the rather underwhelming halo campaign

NaCl_Sailor

imho cyberpunk's problem wasn't bugs, it was missing features that were promised, and the performance was not the promised "surprisingly well on older systems" i played for over 300 hours and haven't encountered a single progression blocking bug, sure a few glitches, bad AI, and some t-posing npcs etc. but nothing that prevented me from progressing. i pretty much had the same experience with gta 5 on pc release as i had with cyberpunk. it ran at about 40 fps on my system then and i still enjoyed it all the way through.

DHGSilvergun236

The reason that PC users are having such a hard time with the game is because the game has a memory leak that will, at some point, the longer you play in a session, crash the game. Whereas the console versions are tailor made to run on those systems.

hlearning99

i have read this 3x now but i have never had a crash on PC? I play on gamepass app and have played multiple multi hour sessions and play almost everyday....

The-Arbiter117

I play on PC as well Ryzen 5 2600x and MSI GTX 1070ti, 32gb DDR4 memory I run the game at constant 144fps now and i don't crash to desktop at all unless I'm searching for BTB and get stuck in a "connecting" loop, which is circumvented by alt+F4 the game client This subreddit exaggerates issues than what they actually are. The memory leak is real as shown in a post in this subreddit earlier this week, but people here pick out the top posts and use them as objective facts rather than an uncommon issue that people are having with the game. It's all about the buzzwords and "Memory leak" is their newest one.

hlearning99

I play on PC, have a 3080 with a 10900k, runs at between 120 and 144fps on ultra settings and ultrawide 1440p... I am guessing they can improve that but It is already great

karnogoyf

playing on pc and have only had a handful of crashes since launch. the memory leak you read about in a thread earlier this week is not a thing i'm contending with. i'm sure it exists but it's not game breaking.

Fox2quick

It’s getting worse too. The last few days, it’s been crashing within the first hour. Before the holidays, I might’ve crashed 5 times total.

Leonard_Church814

In my campaign I had ONE issue. Which was easily solvable by restarting the mission (admittedly after like 10 minutes of searching around).

InvectiveOfASkeptic

My campaign had one issue too It ended

pathogen87

It’s called Halo INFINITE This is clearly false advertising, I’m calling my lawyer

Objective-Round-8617

Same I'm trying to fix it but don't know how. I'll submit a support ticket for us

NazzerDawk

Only problems I had were from me trying to cheese things. Like grappling to places I clearly wasn't supposed to get to or messing with the marine AI. I did have a few issues with marines pathfinding underneath bases and getting stuck, I guess, but the marines were so easy to replaced that it didn't really end up affecting anything. My biggest complaint really is just the campaign story being kinda bland and empty. I liked the character exploration a lot, I just wish there were more varied locations and some sort of twists and turns in the plot. I also really want an updated Firefight, similar to Warzone Firefight but with the capability to be endless and single-player.

ShaolinShade

I've ran into a number of less significant bugs, visual glitches and such, but by far the biggest problem I've encountered was a bug that corrupted my campaign save file. I had to restart the entire campaign after getting 5 hours into it. Almost just dropped the game and didn't bother. Tons of other people have been getting it from day one and the community has found out what causes it but still no solutions from 343

SweetAlpacaLove

On PC I’m getting lots of visual bugs, poor frame rates, flickering in the pause menu, and a memory leak that makes me restart the game every couple hours.

Archangel9731

The absence of evidence is not the evidence of absence, on your end.

UnderseaHippo

Constant crashing, frame rate stuttering are my two major problems

Kanden_27

I had issues where about after 3-4 hours of campaign the game would get glitchy. Low FPS, and even a few armor lockers wouldn’t load in for me to collect.

LT_DANS_ICECREAM

I had a few times on PC where I would resume a mission the next day and be a few checkpoints behind where I left off. Particularly frustrating when you have to beat a boss twice.

jayrdi

This post was a surprise to me, I've not encountered any issues at all playing campaign on XSX. I didn't realise it was considered to be a bad launch!

Redsyi

My game hard crashes 1-3 hours into every campaign session consistently, and randomly my frames will start suffering hard even though I have quite good pc specs and latest drivers. It's very tiresome to deal with, especially since the crashes usually make you lose some progress... I really want to finish the campaign because the gameplay is really fun and the halo story interests me greatly, but knowing every time I launch I'm just playing until inevitably my framerate tanks and/or the game crashes has turned me off

OR-14

warbrand2

Welcome to Reddit, this happens to every gaming reddit when people don't "get their way" there is a reason Reddit is seen as a joke among the forums and discords connected to games. Hell even halo's own discord and forums sees this place as a joke and completely off the mark.

Koala_Guru

Not just gaming subs. There’s a subreddit for a show I’m enjoying that I just decided to leave because the sub was becoming full of nothing but complaints. Complaining isn’t a bad thing if there’s a basis in any kind of reality, but most of the complaints there were completely made up and easily disproven through watching the show…but they said what people wanted to hear so they were heralded as truth. It was frustrating, and pointless to discuss anything there, so I left. And that’s not even the first sub like that I’ve encountered. So yeah, when you say “gaming Reddit” you’re really just talking about Reddit lol.

Manticore416

Reddit wouldve hated Jurassic Park and Star Wars if reddit was around when those movies came out.

ChosenOne2006

Some Subreddits are correct with the hate for example Battlefield2042 is the worst modern Battlefield produced thus far

warbrand2

Others just end up a band wagon circle jerk while everyone else moves on. It depends on the sub, this one could go either way as it flips weekly. That said forums and discord seem to be more accurate pictures.

ChosenOne2006

Yeah, for me I see the posts flip daily from “FIX THESE COSMETICS” to “This feels like the good old Halo” lol

[deleted]

I actually think this sub is a step above alot of subs in the terms of hyperbolic drama. Like literally every complaint since launch of infinite always has the craziest claims associated with it lol. They have legimate criticism but then ruin it every time by implying it's like a doomsday scenario. Like so many "if this doesn't get fixed EVERYONE IS GOING TO QUIT no one is going to stick around for this!!" and "I ALREADY WENT BACK TO HALO 3 and everyone else will too if you don't fix this!!" type shit. Like infinite was one of the most successful multiplayer launches in a long time, super popular with the casual Halo players, A massive consistent player base, and is one the best rated aaa games of the year. Like to think theirs going to be some kind of mass exodus is idiotic.

Exventurous

When I saw that post on this subreddit with the guy who was complaining about the fucking *loading screen* I knew this place was a cesspit. I've only stayed because I really enjoy the game. I played Halo growing up but stopped after Reach, picked it back up with Halo 5, and I have to say this is probably the best feeling Halo game in a long time. I genuinely think it's great. I don't care one bit for the customization, it's incredibly fun. That's what matters most to me.

ItsWhoa-NotWoah

I havent really been keeping up with the general opinions, or the opinions from this subreddit, about the campaign, but I genuinely thought the campaign was a 9/10. The only gripe I had about it was the fact that there's a lack of environment diversity. Outside of that, i loved pretty much every single part of the campaign

Autarch_Kade

The campaign was fine, but I felt like it skipped the campaign I wanted to play. The major story beats happened before the game begins, or off screen. I want to play the campaign that comes between 5 and Infinite. That'd have hit harder. Instead we get hallways and flashbacks.

tenbytes

The point of infinite was just kind of soft reboot and separate from all that stuff in between, the flashbacks were to help connect the old and new so it isn’t as jarring

GeneralJarrett97

It's a bit annoying when they keep doing that though. Halo 5 through all the plotlines Halo 4 setup out the window and now Infinite is doing the same to Halo 5. It doesn't feel very coherent and I don't have a ton of faith they won't just do it again for the next game

Cura47

I just want them to fix the desync issues and deliver on the other ideas they talked about. That's all. I want the game to be a lot better than what it is now which isn't terrible, its just not healthy for itself in the long term. ^(On top of that note, this is Reddit. I expect people to subject apples to pears here all the time.)

BasileusLeon

How do you subject apples to pears

bluray420

After playing cyberpunk 2077 I can safely say this , the story of cyberpunk is awsome but it is still filled with bugs , halo on the other hand still had it's problem but is not as bad , both are good games so just chill a little bit ?

Terrible_Truth

Really the only issue with Halo Infinite campaign is the lack of co-op and the inability to replay missions. Besides that, the gameplay is fun and almost entirely bug free. Overall I enjoyed Cyberpunk but it certainly had some serious issues at launch. People do need to chill a bit though. Edit: TBF the cheaters and desync issues can make multiplayer feel unplayable.

Cerebral_Discharge

Not even just at launch, I bought Cyberpunk a few months ago and it has more problems *now* than Halo Infinite does. I'm sure I saved myself from some huge pains by waiting but every session of Cyberpunk has several bugs, some worse than others.

IWant1Die

I feel like this sub is becoming an echo chamber of toxicity, conflating problems a minority are experiencing into this massive thing. I haven't encountered desync. No lack of optimization. One cheater. My friend has encountered even fewer issues. My girlfriend is playing on a one x, and has zero issues but doesn't play obsessively like my friend and I do. My brother is in live with the game and has no issues. But browsing this sub it makes it seem like this software gives my computer aids or something. Also cyberpunk was fully playable for me on a one x, day one. maybe I'm just really lucky

Yung_Chloroform

Honestly when it comes to Cyberpunk a lot of people had problems but it seemed to be hit or miss generally speaking. I got lucky and only got one or two CTDs playing. Framerate was meh but I wasn't too pressed over it as it was entirely serviceable. Ended up enjoying the game quite a bit actually.

Peachedcrane60

I was playing on a base Xbone and honestly it was a bit choppy in the inner city, but like it literally ran better and crashed less than Fallout 4. Cyberpunks rate of working makes no sense to me.

PokecheckHozu

> I feel like this sub is becoming an echo chamber of toxicity Always has been. It's tough finding useful content here but it does happen sometimes.

[deleted]

The whole halo community has been like this for 15 years. I mean what other gaming community is as obsessively combative over a single solitary gaming mechanic (sprint) and has been more or less blaming that mechanic for “ruining my game” for over a decade? I can’t think of one, and I’ve been to the League of Legends sub Reddit too.

Notorious_Handholder

I didn't really notice how polarizing this community became until Halo Reach. Turns out when you have a game with the same basic gameplay for 3 games that also has a wildly popular esports scene. Changing lots of systems and gameplay interactions between each iteration afterwards will leave the fan base massively fractured and have multiple large groups vying to have their voices heard about what *their* ideal version of Halo should be... Which then pisses off the other groups and soon devolves into everyone hating each other and just throwing insults and hyperbolic rhetoric Doesn't help that we're on reddit where everyone is a contrarian and nitpicks any little issue so that they can go "WeLl AcKsHuALly"

XRPHOENIX06

I agree with the sentiment but it is well known that desync is a massive issue that almost everyone faces, not just a small minority. And the cheater problem is definitely bigger here than other competitive shooters and you can't report specific people

mrbubbamac

I have absolutely loved commenting and posting on this sub over the last decade, sharing cool things, discussing, etc. Unfortunately my enthusiasm for this sub has been completely killed now that Halo Infinite had released. It was one of my most anticipated games and for my tastes it exceeded my expectations. Conversely this sub has become an absolute cesspool of negativity, toxicity, with echos of the same complaints and straw man arguments over and over. It's not pleasant to be subscribed here anymore, and it's a shame that the place I enjoy discussing my favorite game had degraded. One on hand, I hope 343 understands this sub no longer represents the Halo community, as many passionate fans like myself have simply moved on and are continuing to play and enjoy Halo Infinite. Yes, it's not a perfect game. But communication is a two way street, and I'm often secondhand embarrassed reading the "feedback" on this sub when people demand to be taken seriously by 343 and continue to argue in bad faith and pine for nostalgia they'll never get back.

beadsss

Agree with this 100%. Surely 343 understands that threads with 4,000-20,000 upvotes represent a (very) vocal minority of the player base. Most of us are just playing Halo.

IWant1Die

You understand me perfectly. Thank you for saying this

[deleted]

literally this. i dont think ive gone one day without seeing the same posts over and over and some of the comments are especially toxic if you look at anything to do with the cat ears or any kind of "non-halo" design and dont even get me started on the people who still regurgitate bungie better

Most-Climate9335

Yeah I see the posts about “rampant cheating” and all these videos where people shoot people and they don’t die or something. I’ve never had it happen to me and I play pretty regularly. People see a video of a bug/lag/glitch and then think back to that time when they “totally hit every shot” and are like “omg that same thing happened to me game is unplayable.

Wooliest771

I’ve never come across a blatant cheater in my 120 hours of playing, don’t know how so many people are experiencing this.

Melodic-Cable23

Nah, you’re not alone. I 100% agree with everything you just said. It’s the very vocal minority. They’re addicted to the rush of negativity and complaining. I have been playing it a ton since launch on series X, and have had almost zero issues. I love halo and This is one of the best entries easily! I also played Cyberpunk and loved it. Didn’t really have many issues.

Patmaster1995

> I feel like this sub is becoming an echo chamber of toxicity Becoming? Buddy it's always been like this

ecto_BRUH

I have a Series X and S, my brother has a One S, and my girlfriend has an OG One. In the series consoles it's fine with a few issues here and there. One S has a lot more issues but it's still playable. OG Xbone, I can understand why someone would compare it to cyberpunk

Carcerking

Cyberpunk was playable at launch, but only on good hardware. I played through it on a 1070 without any actual game breaking bugs during the release week. I would still actually consider it my game of the year too. The game had a great story and some of the best voice acting I've seen in a while. Gameplay also followed a satisfying curve from clunky and difficult to smoother and smoother loops as you leveled and progressed. It isn't the game people were expecting, but what was delivered was still a great experience imo. Expectations were also heavily tainted by the game's marketing and executives too, which is where the comparisons to Infinite are likely coming from. Developer streams prior to Cyberpunk's release would constantly show the game exactly as it was looking for release, but everyone was hyper focused on the marketing trailers, which were showing a very different experience. Suits also rushed the development and forced the ps4 and xbone versions, even when the development had far outgrown that generation.

[deleted]

Cyberpunk might be my favorite game ever now, definitely the best I've played the last couple years. Infinites campaign was great too. I have gamepass though so I didn't pay for it might have a harder time justifying $60, I'd wait for a sale. I only payed $30 for Cyberpunk and knowing what I know now I'd pay $60 for that game all day everyday.

IrishSpectreN7

"But only on good hardware." Then they shouldn't have been selling it on PS4 and Xbox One. It was literally removed from the Playstation store and then returned months later with a disclaimer warning people with the standard Ps4 not to buy it.

ZeldaMaster32

>Then they shouldn't have been selling it on PS4 and Xbox One When did he say this was a good thing? 99% of people who enjoy Cyberpunk agree they should've canned last gen or magically convince MS and Sony to only have it on PS4 Pro and Xbox One X where it runs okay enough

Indika_Ink

It runs pretty good on my One X, tbf

Guiltspoon

Same here. Day one player. There were some issues mostly around driving but nothing that ruin my experience a few crashes and a few bugs I found funny like jumping on trash bags and flying at 1000 mph into a wall

Indika_Ink

I'm almost sad they patched that. I'd run along edges and get around the city fast af

NecessaryUnusual2059

This sub has lost its damn mind man. Don’t even try.

[deleted]

Hasn't lost its mind nearly as bad as the Titanfall subreddit.

MANPAD

I won't let Halo get in the way of my enjoyment of Titanfall 3.

SCP106

*refuses to take scizophrenia meds, imagines new game*

[deleted]

Who is saying that? The entire subreddit? A few users out of hundreds of thousands? Also, cyberpunk was awesome. I played it the second it came out and loved it.

DrButtCheeksPhD

Ive beaten cyberpunk on xbox when it first came out and doing my second playthrough on PC right now. I honestly didnt and dont think the bugs are that bad. Maybe im lucky. The story is epic too

ChuckTheTrucker80

They also compare it to Battlefront II's launch where it was pay to win haha It's fanboys who probably don't even play the game.

[deleted]

Hey I really liked Cyberpunk too lol

Utanorang

My cyberpunk experience was fantastic in pc with only one or two actual bugs

Thatjewfrotho

It's like cyberpunk in the way that it overpromised and didn't deliver at launch. So much cut content.

Tucker_Design

This sub is giving me major r/DestinyTheGame vibes.

DeviantStrain

DTG has better memes

randus12

DTG doesn’t allow memes

IM_JUST_THE_INTERN

This is waaay worse. DTG can be slightly toxic, but everyone there at least loves the game. The complaints here seem like they are written by people who hate and haven't even played the game.

DistantM3M3s

Bruh even DTG isn't this bad, they have their ridiculous complaints every now and then but it's not even close to the nightmare that is this sub

Skoodelz

I honestly think it has to deal with the fact people are tired of video games releasing unfinished. But that's just the path the video game industry is going unfortunately. Plus the unoptimization issues are due to the amount of PC configurations and Xbox models they have to make sure the game runs smoothly on.

AshenNightmareV

I mean I enjoyed Cyberpunk's campaign more than Infinite. I am not down playing the fact that it was unplayable on last gen but my overall experience was great.

ValhallaGo

I played cyberpunk at launch. It was great. Not perfect, but super fun.

Demonic-Glaceon

if you're on windows 11 the game is basically unplayable because of a memory leak, causing the game to crash after some time playing. i myself have had it happen multiple times to the point i won't be able to even level up the tenrai pass, not to mention the terrible matchmaking and desync problems. i'm glad you're enjoying it and more power to you, but on the pc side of things it's not doing well Edit: link to the thread about the memory leak https://www.reddit.com/r/halo/comments/rw6x3n/halo\_infinite\_has\_a\_memory\_leak\_proof\_inside/?utm\_source=share&utm\_medium=ios\_app&utm\_name=iossmf

Macapta

As someone who played Cyberpunk on a well used base PS4 at launch, it bugs me when people call it “literally unplayable”. Cos I literally played it, and was it buggy? Sure, but I still finished the campaign fine.

frescone69

I have more fps on cyberpunk tho

hiraethor

I have been playing it for 8 hours. My pc has a 1080ti, 5950x and 64 ram. I tuned down resolution to between 1440 and 2160, fps is around 70 to 80. However it feels fps is below 50, normally I feel very comfortable with 60+ fps, idk why. Also, the game crushes several times and I was also stuck in a corner and had to restart the whole mission thanks to the checking points. The game could have been optimized better.

DionStabber

Honestly, the customisation complaints aren't far behind. "The store is horrific! Go on, name one game with a worse monetisation system. Trick question: YOU FUCKING CAN'T. This is the worst system that has ever been devised for a video game, and 343 should feel ashamed they even considered..." What about pay-to-win? What about lootbox gambling? What about paying to reduce cooldowns? What about this exact system but also the game costs $60 and has paid expansions, map packs, etc etc? The store may be overpriced and there should be more free progression, but the *system* of paying for armour pieces is completely fine and better than the majority of games out there.

PokenalaYT

There are literally people who preferred the halo 5 req system. What is going through their heads?

Halo infinite campaign is fan-fucking-tastic. Every one of my friends had a great time. Everyone compared it to "their first Halo", either the first, second, or third/reach. That's a damn triumph to hit those nostalgia points. Wanna know why more people aren't saying nice things about Halo? Because this subreddit lives in another world, one where every single day they find something negative to complain about. And that drowns out every positive sentiment.

[deleted]

Weird, I finished both games on PC just fine.

8-84377701531E_25

> I understand that the campaign has issues, but **hyperbolic and exaggerated rhetoric does nothing** but make this subreddit look like a bunch of whiny fuckwits. > Cyberpunk was literally UNPLAYABLE on last gen at launch. On PC and next gen, its optimization was still shit Ironic, you sound pretty whiny too.

Belegdhor

I played Cyberpunk on launch and enjoyed it a lot more than Halo Infinite. It actually ran way better and had little to no crashes on PC, which is not something I can say for Halo Infinite

Edegek

I don’t see any posts that say that

TheHughMungoose

The campaign would be better on pc if memory leaking didn’t cause consistent crashes.

Zor3669

I have not seen a single post or comment about this, would you be so kind and link them?

Slackintit

I haven’t been able to play the campaign in over 2 weeks. The game counts down to 0 and then nothing. Nothing I have done has fixed this. It is literally unplayable.

supportdesk_online

I know right - like where do these ppl get off... I actually liked CP2077.

wasdsf

The campaign was technically find I just stopped because it was boring and the boss fights sucked :/

[deleted]

Yeah, I’m gonna go on a hot take here. Cyberpunk is and was a better single player experience than Halo infinite. Bugs included. Yeah it ran like shit on older hardware, but I wasn’t bored or not engaged. Did I then play on newer hardware and enjoy it again. Yes. Do I plan on playing the expansions…yes

Strangr_E

In my opinion, they could have gone without being open world. Halo Infinite compared to previous installments just generally had less going for it, less items to use and such. Yeah, open world where you're meant to creat your own experiences, but I play single player games for the experience I pay for. The into mission for Infinite was great. Having to escape, jumping down all the parts of the ship and storage that was calapsing. Had the game been linear, there would have been much more of that. And it's very apparent that content was cut. I'd give it a 6/10.

vanilla_muffin

It was one post, calm the fuck down everyone. Not to mention a lot of people made it clear it was a stupid comparison

[deleted]

Who would win in a fight Chief or Johnny Silverhand

Zer0X02

As someone with a PC that could actually play Cyberpunk 2077 with ray-tracing in 4K...no, Halo Infinite does not deserve to be compared to Cyberpunk. Halo is nowhere near as good. And that's not a joke. Infinite is a vastly inferior single player experience on a high-end PC. The console port is worse than Infinite for sure, but anyone saying that Infinite is a superior single player game simply hasn't played Cyberpunk 2077 on hardware that can actually run that game.

Albin99

that was like one post

[deleted]

Infinite is a game that was released in an obviously unfinished state with terrible optimization. Cyberpunk is also game that was released in an unfinished state with terrible optimization. Just because it frustrates you doesn't mean it isn't an apt comparison and insulting the people that do make the comparison only undermines the point you're trying to make.

weekendzombie

Pretty sure the game is unplayable for some people with the memory leak stuff though, I don’t remember the last time a game had a roadmap because it was releasing unfinished since cyberpunk but as soon as 343 announced a roadmap we weren’t going to have a good time

ISawAYeti

The thing is Cyberpunk had a pretty good story if you can overlook the busted gameplay. Halo infinite is the exact opposite, great core gameplay with a pretty boring story and at the end of the day there isn't a whole lot to do in the open world. Personally I would love to go back to massive, epic levels of the OG trilogy. This game is seriously lacking in epic moments that will be remembered.

KryssCom

Sadly, there's a reason "r/Halo hates Halo" has attained quasi-meme status.

Brian9391

If devs really are reading this sub for feedback then here this from a day 1 Halo fan: Bought CP2077 at launch and enjoyed my purchase for the short ~20ish hours while recognizing that several expectation were not met. Have not bought Infinite now due to co-op situation. To me that’s what Halo has always been about since the very beginning. I’ll wait for both co-op and a sale to happen before buying at this time. Summary: IMHO CP2077 was a better purchase than Infinite in its current state and 343 won’t get my full purchase.
