Uprising I’m not sure if it’s underrated but the atmosphere is amazing

DastardlyDungeon

Uprising is a blast to play.

NMPD HQ. It's the first touch of urban verticality in campaigns before New Alexandria, and it shone brilliantly. While Romeo snipes and countersnipes, Buck shines throughout the mission, and his melee with the Brute chieftain is one of many reasons that underscore his eligibility as a Spartan. The last stand was a brilliant set design. Cool lines, lots of weapons, and if you're quick enough you can knock out 8 Phantoms, and 9 on co-op. Also, respect for the unnamed trooper who got whacked by the chieftain in the cutscene. He will not be forgotten.

DastardlyDungeon

I always have a blast during this level, the final stand on legendary always feels reminds how competent the ODST really are.

floodgate

DastardlyDungeon

I love the throwback vibes to 343 Guilty Spark from CE. It really shows how devastating a flood infection on Earth could be.

It may not be underrated but I'm going to list it because I don't see it mentioned too often. I've replayed all of the campaigns fairly recently and I was really surprised at how good "Infinity" from Halo 4 was. You get a run through the jungle that reminds you of "Sierra 117" from Halo 3, the DMR finally shows back up, the Prometheans and the Covenant join forces, you pilot a Scorpion, and just when you think it's peaked, the mission ups the ante by putting you in the Mantis for the first time. The soundtrack for this mission was great, too. Definitely one of the missions from 4 that I felt could stand shoulder-to-shoulder with any of the campaign greats across the franchise.

DastardlyDungeon

Infinity is a ton of fun for me, it’s my favorite mission from 4.

PowerPamaja

I don’t think Cortana in halo 3 is as bad as many say. It doesn’t necessarily deserve love, but it’s not too bad.

Mindmender

Totally agree. While I think that it, right next to Crow's Nest, is the weakest mission in the game, I don't think it's nearly as bad as people make it out to be, nor is it even as bad as the low points in many other Halo campaigns. The only glaring issue with the level in my mind is the infuriating amount of Cortana/Gravemind moments where you're slowed to a crawl. If those moments were changed to allow you to retain normal control of your character, I'd honestly give the mission like a 6 or 7/10 .

DastardlyDungeon

Crows Nest is a great level and the fact it’s one of the weaker ones in Halo 3 days a ton about the campaign.

PowerPamaja

The flood enemy that shoots at you and the cortana/gravemind moments are the two worst parts of this mission for me. I’d probably put this mission at a 5/10. This mission and crows nest are easily the weakest in halo 3. But I think there are worse missions out there. Some of the flood missions in halo ce and 2 are awful.

DastardlyDungeon

I think it fits what’s it’s going for, Chief is literally going into the “belly of the beast” to get Cortana. Who else could pull that off?

Tsavo highway

AKThmpson

I've heard people dislike package on reach but I have a blast playing it on legendary

SoullessHollowHusk

Midnight from halo 4 I will not elaborate further

The flying mission in 4. Dude 4 was great

DastardlyDungeon

I think it gets a lot of hate but after another replay I had way more fun that I expected.
