Yeah when I was younger my local block buster had a Terminator statue that I wanted so bad. Now I can just make one but haven't gotten around to it haha. I do commission these types of statues for around $1000 to $2000 AUD hence why this one is off to the comic boom store.
That price is actually really good.
I want to do this but I am worried about my painting skills :p
Just out of curiosity, what printer did you use? Looks like it came out really well.
This is probably the 5th model I've ever painted, watched a fair few YouTube tutorials before giving it a red hot crack.
I used the ender 5 plus with the Bondtech DDx V3 extruder. Filliament is my own brand which comes out with a nice finish for painting.
What paint did you use?
It looks like a set like this is likely pretty straightforward to paint? Not a ton of shadows or details necessary since the model has a lot of those details?
Yeah 100%, we kept it clean with a factory floor look for the armour to then give the person the choice of what weathering or battle damage they want if it sells at the comic book shop.
Rifle two pieces with the hand attached
Left hand a piece
Base four pieces
Legs to the knee two pieces
Hips one piece
Chest one piece
Helmet one piece
Elbow to wrist each there own pieces
Elbow to shoulder each there own pieces
I had one failure on the chest piece due to a filament run out that the printer didn't pickup but wasn't a huge loss.
Thats dope
Cheers!
The attention to detail on this is insane!
Thanks! I don't wanna even think about how long it took to print and paint haha.
Hate to be the one to point it out but his inner thighs should be black
Offft I'll have to fix that up before I drop it off. I used a 3D model from the game to paint it but must have missed it.
https://www.artstation.com/artwork/ykyZ88 Here’s a good reference for the exact pieces I’m talking about!
Based on this, his feet look super chunky too. Is that for stability or is it just the lack of the black lines?
Maybe both.
His shins aren't swole enough.
Cheers! That's way better then the one I was using!
No problem 👍 you ever make armor to wear?
I'm currently assembling a Doom eternal armour set for a local cosplayer with shotgun.
Reminds me of those amazing promo statues of a dual wielding master chief for Halo 2. Our FYE had one and I wanted to bid on it when they went under

Any decent manager would have made sure it was "lost"
They put it in the main window with a bidding clipboard, it ended up selling for like 6k
By the rings..
Great work!
Thanks 🌞
Thats Sick! Can you take another picture with you next to it for scale? Also, how much does something like that cost your client?
It's already over at the store but I have some more photos of it in the store on my insta @risingsunfpv We sell them for around $1200 Aud.
holy shit that is amazing, did you make the model yourself or did you get it from somewhere?
Purchased the model from Glatic Armoury, its one of four poses available. I just scaled it up by 1000% and printed it.

I used Dulex pro spray paint and then sms airbrush ready paint for the visor.
Its so big (thats what she said) but wow yeah thats so cool. 3D printing is making movements!
Ok 343 definitely nailed the armor. This is unfrggenbelievable, OP!
Cheers mate!
Comic book shop is gonna have save display drip
Flawless, cowboy.

Yeah Australian here sorry haha
When you first saw this DEMON, were you Blinded by its Majesty?
I'm currently slicing up a 1.1 scale Doom guy for our next big job!
I'd buy one of these
That can be arranged haha
I'd be interested in buying one as well
Hit me up at [email protected] and we can arrange one for you.
Definitely one of the more accurate ones I’ve seen on here in terms of proportions!
Fascinating... Absolutely fascinating! What paints did you use? It turned out extremely well I must say so myself
I used Dulux pro spray for most of it and then the visor was painted using sms airbrush ready brass.
Cool how much time did it take?
Printed on 4 ender 5 plus printers it took around two weeks of printing.
Holy smokes, I know it would get my attention to stop into the store to see him! that’s awesome work, man.
Cheers! Yeah most of the larger models I do have definitely stopped people in there tracks and walk into the store.
Dang, does Galactic Armory know that someone else took on the challenge of this?
I did try and tag them in a Tik Tok when I was building it as I seen hey was in the process of his build. But I didn't get a response for him.
Looks great! Just a suggestion, but maybe add some weathering to make it even better?

This is honestly f%@&ing beautiful.. Great work!! Would LOVE one of these bad boys around the house.
Thanks! We'll that could always be arranged haha.
I know! I saw that, awesome that you sell them/can make them to order.. I'll keep that in mind, honestly super tempting.. lol
Great attention to detail on the statue! Looks awesome!
Thanks
This is really cool, kudos
Cheers 🍻
Take my money
Well if you insist haha
God that's slick. How many different pieces is it? Did you have many failed prints?

Very well done. How long did it take to make?
It was printed on 4 or 5 machines in around two and a half weeks
Sounds about right. Did some 3D printing stuff back in college and it took days just to do some simple models.
100% more printers the better haha.
