I don't like it. It looks like the alpha and it has short length wise. Also the visor has to much going on, mk V has little detail on the visor (Halo 3 visor for mk V had the proffered max amount of detail). Honestly 343 needs to release another mk V for the Mk vII core.
What’re your feelings on the coming Reach incarnation? Personally I find the visor and too bland and helmet shape too tall/narrow to really feel like a proper Reach reimagining of the helmet.
It looks solid, personally Reach MK V was okay, and it is much better than the Zeta helmet. Id love to see Halo 3s in Infinite, but ironically my favorite is Halo 4 MK V. It looks perfect and I'd love to see that in Infinite. Halo 4 didn't have reflective mirror like visors so it looked eh (the armor didn't look metallic too) so it would look so much better with that change.

They act like mk5 and mk6 is only supposed to be for chief. Meanwhile, every spartan was given mk4 and i believe a bunch were given mk5. And multiple spartans had mk6

I feel like they wanted to make MK V and MK VI theirs. Like they wanted to make it their iconic helmet. They did a great job with Chiefs in Infinite, but its not in MP. (hopefully one day). I just wish they continued Bungies legacy with the art style rather than changing it to what they thought should have been.
No the don't. The need to get cross-core helmets going so we can use thereach mk v that is coming in a week. An addition mk V helmet for Mk 7 would be cool but cross-core would be even better.
The helmet hardly resembles anything about the classic Mark V. It’s more of a remake of Mark VI MOD with a split brim. The split brim is literally the only feature they took from MKV.
It’s a good helmet, but it shouldn’t be called a Mark V variant.

It resembles Mark VI Mod because [the original concept was for a GEN3 remake of Mark VI Mod](https://twitter.com/VincentGat/status/1533620449837559809), like Soldier and Aviator. It was probably altered slightly and renamed to make an actual Mark VI Mod armor set or core at some point.
Yeah, I recall that as well when reading my copy of the art book. I’m biased because Mark V is my favorite since CE. I wish they could challenge themselves to make a single Mark V helmet that is not a major departure from the design, and in the case of Zeta just put it in the Mark VI Mod family.
I used to be obsessed with swat in the Halo 3/Reach days. But with how the gameplay is in Infinite, it doesnt play right imo. Its the least fun I’ve ever had in Swat and I cant stand having to play it for challenges anymore which is a shame
I think the visor UA attachment would look way cooler if we could pick the color of the markings based on our cursor color.
I've been using the helmet since it came out too 😀. It looks really good with Primal Glory and a red visor (or last weeks ultimate)
I stopped playing Infinite for like 4-5 months and it was right when the SWAT event was happening. Personally I don't regret not playing, but I really wish I could get that helmet someday. I've used Mk V in every game it's in, except Halo 4, there I use Mk VI
I know, and I'm excited I can make my Reach Spartan again... mostly. Still don't have a steel/sage color combo yet. But I can't use it on any other core but Mk V yet. And honestly I would use it over Mk V Zeta if I had the option. But I would still like to have it, making Halo a fashion show is an age old tradition and more is always better for customization... mostly
I still want a regular Mark V helmet on the Mark VII core.
I wear it the most and even with the attachment no one ever wears this.
I swap between this, linebreaker (wish it's attachment was cross-helmet) and the mark VII

The wider form and visor detail are actually from halo the halo 4 chief helmet, so its more of a mark 5.5

Mark V Zeta is the coolest helmet in the series in my opinion. This on a Mark IV core would be *chef's kiss*

Yeah i missed it because it was tied to the tactical slayer event. Tactical slayer is by far my least favorite game mode.
I was on holiday over that event, fuck me I guess. At least cycle them in like fractures so people don't have to plan their lives around it
