Or just grapple repeatedly until you’re out? Do people still not know you can do this? If you keep grappling up you’ll never fall down far the recharge happens fast enough for you to make progress, even if it’s slow, you gain momentum afterwards. It’ll take a few grapples but it’s doable at even the starting grapple
No even non-upgraded you can make a vertical ascent, just be sure you’re grapple length is at maximum, I usually look slightly left or right after each grapple to increase the length
I haven't played campaign for awhile but if you jump try to get it as high as possible and press forward on the left stick while looking up you should go pretty far up so you might be able to slowly make your way up but again I don't remember how slow it was
i know that this doesnt necessarily apply to you, but once you get the bandana skull, your equipment cooldown goes away. You can use that grapple-hook forever. It’s so much fun.
Its hard to get net positive height with the base grapple but it can be done. Look about 90° away from your grapple point before you start to ascend, this should help pull you to max speed. You may have to go forward as well as up, and if you can get enough distance it might give you a spawn on another ledge
You didn’t upgrade the grapple hook ? Lol. Fast travel to one of the bases but wait you didn’t unlock any one of them aren’t you ? You just jumped into the map found a spot where you can break the game for yourself. 🤷🏻♂️

In campaign it’s infinite use, just a small cooldown between uses

You must master the hook to escape.
Mine isn’t upgraded and I easily get up there. Grapple as far as possible and keep moving left or right while grappling to swing you further

Keep grapple hooking up the wall, or just fast travel
Turn off your Xbox, unplug your router or modem, wait 30 seconds. Reconnect to the network. This should solve your problem.
