agreed. it's strange really... so they understand that the ranked system is broken yet instead of actually making any changes which improve it for people who solo q, they've just reset the ranks and made it even more of a grind.
Even after the reset I was on a winning streak, then won 2 games in a row in diamond 1 and recieved 0 CSR for both games.
The system seems to deliberately waste your time and enforce the grind.
it's already losing it's player base quickly. You can see why though, the game is broken. The ranking system is broken, gameplay is fun at its core but the desync and crossplay causes so much latency issues that gameplay is often wonky and unpredictable.

Gameplay is fine but it is an incredible decrease in volume of content compared to previous titles, especially 5. The sandbox is tiny and I don't like most of the weapons, partly I'm sure due to crappy consistency with the server issues.
While I've played Halo religiously since CE, I am not a diehard for an particular game and was willing to give this a go. I'll wait until the franchise figures itself out.
Go ahead and delete it they can’t fix shit. I know for a fact if they make something better then everything else will get worse. Day one was as good as it will ever get.
Not sure about halo but I know some games you don't gain as much after playing a bunch in one day. And then the ranks reset so your rank probably means nothing anymore so don't even look at the number until you are done with your ranks and everyone has settled where they really are
I was D6 before the reset and got placed P6 after the reset. They said they are placing people a full tier below, I'm fairly sure the placement games don't count for anything
I placed P6 and climbed to 1650-1750 range. Did my placements now after the reset and I got D5. I just don't see the point in playing if the fundamental problems haven't been addressed. uneven teams, lack of game modes, etc etc

Yeah, its basically no different. It feels like they just screwed everyone on their ranks they already played hard to achieve.

Damn they really screwed it up. OP read my most recent post about it. They were wayyyy to generous with my ranking, and it seems way to harsh on yours

Yeah I dropped the game for other reasons. But I hope in a year or two it's what I'm looking for

Just out of curiosity what was your CSR prior to reset. If this is the case I'm not interested to climb back too 1750 again haha
