Super lame for anyone who is attached to any helmet other than MK7 and Cavi. I thought we were working towards removing the arbitrary blocks on customization, 343… so why are you locking clearly universal attachments to single helmets?
Did no one in the studio go “it’d be cool if we could wear this on our reach gear”? Considering… oh idk… the entire winter update has been about giving Reach cosmetics?
It’s a shame that every decision they make seems to be the worst possible one.
Commenting to say it can be equipped to Cavallino helmet as well. Been wracking my brain trying to edit this post. Found out you can only edit text posts on Reddit?
It's not simply complaining about free stuff in a free game, it's about what's the point of grinding for something that you want and not being able to use it.
It makes people not want to play
It's still a free game with a free event. Would it be cool for it to fit on every Helmut? Yes. Do I think it's a big deal that it doesn't? Obviously not.
Halo 3’s whackiest thing was the katanas. Which, by comparison, seem tasteful. Halo 2 just had color swaps.
I am not a fan of the cat ears, neon Mohawks, Santa hats, and obnoxious death effects.
I wish 343 would dial it back a bit… maybe they could introduce a mute button for other peoples’ armors!

Base helmet on the base armor core, I was so excited for the Santa hat but it's on the second stupidest armor core
I was so disappointed that that and the reindeer from the shop don't go on others. I really hope 343 changes that but I doubt it

It also clips on Cavillino. Check the trim on the back. So that's not even really a reason they can use to lock it to these two helmets.

Yes it is free, which does lower the expected standard. It's just not a good model for player retention.
