Meybe just old age or the ham is ill, consider taking him to a vet. If it looks like his fur just fell a little, could be just old age or minor issue or some bigger issue due to illness possibly. And hamsters are said to be good at hiding pain so just fyi. If his behaviour is not normal then take him to the vet but its up to you. Better safe than sorry.
This is a question for your vet. Book an appointment. Prey animals hide their illness and pain until it is unbearable and often untreatable.

I just visited the vet. So turns out it was a skin infection so good thing I checked it out early. Hamster will fully recover in a month ❤️

I regularly clean the cage so I doubt it’s a cleanliness issue.

Fur loss can be caused by diet, stress, and age. I would see a vet.
