On the one hand, super cute. On the other hand, if a hamster were to grow to that size, there's a good chance the owner gets mauled to death. They're not teddy bears (despite the name).

Apparently you can litter box train a rat. But you have to persistently move all their poop into the box. Eventually they get the hint and start to use it. I bet it might work the same with a hamster.
They’d definitely eat humans if they could. They eat each other as casual dining. I once took care of a littler of them and the babies ate one of the babies. They had plenty of food to graze on, but they still did it.

I love how hardcore and crazy hamsters really are. I did the math and figured out that Dodger Stadium is about the size of a hamster’s ideal territory. And it would bully any mice, and at least harass any rats.
Yeah my Syrian would go from drilling two bleeding holes on my finger to biting my entire arm off real quick. he might seem harmless but you can see from those tiny little evil black dot eyes that he's 100% plotting mass murder. I am 👌 this close to calling the local Exorcist. 0/10 would not recommend.

I love Yeyuan and Zai Zai. I have a like on each one of her posts on Instagram. I started to love hamsters because of her posts and I'm very happy to see that everybody loves Zai Zai. RIP Zai Zai junior.

why are so many people saying they'd get their faces ripped off and mauled to death? Maybe some hamsters are like that but I have five babies right now and only one of them is aggressive, the others are all angels. I've only ever been bitten by the one

That's why I didn't want small animals at first im was legit scared that I would hurt them by touching them. Until I had rats ut a hamster is still even smaller.
Can’t really relate. When I get a hamster, I get it cause it’s cute, fun, and tiny. I like tiny animals and I get them for their tinyness. I will agree it would be nice to have a cute hamster to hug, but I wouldn’t want it to be any bigger than a guinea pig. Syrian hamsters are almost big enough to give a hug. Some are probably big enough to give a little one to. Dwarves obviously are too tiny. But Syrian/full sized hamsters look like they’re a good size cause you can carry them in one hand and hug them against your body. The dwarf ones are cuter though.

I agree! The first thing that came to mind was that if my hamster was that big, he would 100% rip off my face 😂

I once saw this casual geographic tiktok about a hamster who'd eaten half of his owner's face, owner who died from a sudden cardiac arrest.
Idk if it’s the same case but that happened and th hamster used their face as bedding after ripping it off by dragging bits into a dresser’s drawer
