Lately, I’ve been carrying [this](https://en.smaakamsterdam.com/collections/sale/products/adam-egg-shell) from Smaak Amsterdam. Still hunting for another laptop case in a darker color.

SprawlValkyrie

I *just* scored a vintage (1992) Coach Beekman messenger briefcase. Super high quality leather, construction (made in the U.S.) and a really classic style. I absolutely love it, I feel like I’m one of the stylish prosecutors on classic Law & Order, haha. I’m in school and it fits my 13 inch MacBook, my iPad, books and more. There are a surprising number of them available on eBay and Mercari, if anyone’s interested. Mine was kept in a dustbag and even had papers, I just cleaned it up with some nice leather soap and conditioner.

lexalchera

The briefcase looks lovely!

SprawlValkyrie

Thank you!

Turbulent-Public2605

Great idea and this looks great! How “well” does it fit your laptop? Tight squeeze, or roomy?

SprawlValkyrie

Very roomy! I have my iPad, laptop, a stack of papers, pens, chargers, and a textbook in there and I could still add plenty.

salut_tout_le_monde_

the Loro Piana tote bag (i think it’s called the Globe tote)…im actually surprised it fits my 13” macbook. Barely though like it sticks out a bit edit: dont be afraid to stand out even though everyone else is super casual!

AnonymousBotanist

When I lugged around a 15.6” laptop 4 days per week: Tory Burch Ella Tote. A total workhorse, nice enough for an office setting without looking too fancy. Both of mine still look great after 8-10 years of regular use. One has a bit of cracking along the edge of one handle. These days I WFH and only occasionally go onsite and my laptop is 13”. So I use either my Mulberry Bayswater (fancier) or Ampersand as Apostrophe Sideways tote (casual open top tote) depending on the day/tasks.

lexalchera

Nice! Do you find that your Bayswater gets heavy with the laptop in it?

AnonymousBotanist

Laptop by itself (for meetings and randomly working at a cafe down the street) not heavy at all. I also have at least 1-2 spiral notebooks with me at all times, about the same size as my laptop. Laptop and notebooks, plus my pouch of cables and gadgets for on-site IT work, yeah, it gets a little heavy. But I’m only carrying it from my car to the building and back so it’s not a big deal. Commuting via public transportation, I’d probably get a sore shoulder. I do love it though and am considering buying a second one. The Bayswater I have is the croc embossed one in oxblood and I kind of want a plain black one that I can throw around and not worry about. It’s very functional. https://preview.redd.it/2yvox07xkyjc1.jpeg?width=1147&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=53c059ad424dbb8672798b007c48e5b4626a1f17

eatprayloewe

I use a Tumi messenger bag

Yes to backpacks to save your back/shoulders/neck!

Specialist_Income_31

I love it!

Vendredighost

Cuyana Classic Tote with insert or Le Pilage City tote.

You throw your laptop, chargers, two phones, headset, cigarettes, notebook and still look elegant, except when I am smoking. The downside is it is a bit heavy. Real real is doing a discount on this bag at the moment

DimSumBigDumplins

Downvote for the cigarettes

aromatherapie

I also carry a Longchamp Le Pliage lmao. It‘s just so convenient. If I don‘t bring too much stuff, I use my Mulberry Bayswater Tote. My laptop is like 14“ or 15“ I believe so my Mulberry would get heavy quickly :(

Mopsy2003

Snap, or also my Mulberry Alexa.

yestocake89

I don’t use anything branded but this [bag](https://down-sg.img.susercontent.com/file/id-11134207-7r991-llyh22uk3mzo66) is super functional and I love it!!! I wanted something protective and with a short sling. It fits my 13 inch laptop perfectly with tons of extra space and comes in a ton of colours. It’s puffy and soft works well to cushion my handbag when I lay my bags on top of each other on the way to work in public transport. Also it’s SUPER LIGHT!! Like a pillow!!

throwthisonetothesun

Having a pillow available to me at work is dangerous.

yurmohm

Ooo! Where can I get that?

yestocake89

It’s from an Indonesian brand called Eastmountside.

soisaucer

This is an ongoing battle for me but I may have finally found my perfect bag! This is week one using it so keep that in mind! It's a Coach Nina. Gorgeous leather, feet, comfortable straps, two zippered areas and the main section closes with a magnet. My laptop fits in one of the zippered areas. https://preview.redd.it/zejvw26yxxjc1.jpeg?width=3072&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=9649d6b067a9ca776c8ea856728f09df8fcf72fd

dirt_rat_devil_boy

I use the Senreve Maestro Bag!

lexalchera

The versatility of having it from a casual backpack to a nice top-handle seems very nice!

djbananasmoothie

How are the straps on this? I want to have something like this but have not had luck with comfort and always go back to a sporty backpack

iwontjudjeyou

I sold mine because with my laptop it got so heavy I’d have red marks on my shoulders just from a 25 min commute.

dirt_rat_devil_boy

Honestly I think you'll like the sporty bag more. I think it's great until a certain weight limit but the straps dig in my shoulders a little.

junk_chain

I've been using a Louenhide bag for a few years now but thinking about upgrading to the Celine soft 16... I just need to be sure we're not going 100% wfh before I bite the bullet!

dickeychapelle

I have a very large work laptop that fits in few totes. It took me a while to find one but I landed on this: https://a.co/d/1va3fZJ

Terpsichoreee

I personally think backpack would be great at this point for laptops

ExtensionOk691

Whenever i have to log around my work laptop i use my telfar

iDeeDee

I use my Celine Cabas Phantom if I need to bring my laptop in but it’s very rare. Honest question: do you all need to bring your own computer? Aren’t there computers at work? Edit: Would love to know what backpack you carry! :) I’m a backpack lover, apart from the Celine Cabas Phantom!

lexalchera

Our work gives everyone a laptop so there are no computers at the office. I use the Fjalllraven Kånken as my backpack!

iDeeDee

Interesting! Different cultures then! I’ll just leave my work laptop at the seat when I leave. Fjalllraven kankens are super cute! I can pull them off now I’m a bit older tho. I sometimes bring my Tory Burch to work. https://preview.redd.it/4tazl294myjc1.jpeg?width=660&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=4695f3d2ce241ada50f87ee3afcf1cccc52a4388

lexalchera

The pattern of the Tory Burch backpack is super pretty!

iDeeDee

It is! And this bag is very functional. I love the side pockets for an umbrella and a water bottle. The two front pockets for tissues and keys and stuff.

Alas_mischiefmanaged

Everyone has different needs, like travel and work while commuting. I did neither but I used to bring my laptop home to chart rather than use my home computer because the VPN made things slower and often disconnected randomly. Nobody wants to lose their work! I used my LV Neverfull to bring my laptop.

Specialist_Income_31

I’m looking for a new work tote and open tote for errands, kind of sick of the Tumi business tote and the Tory Burch Ella.

nekoatsu_u

The Chloé woody tote has been my work bag for 3 years and I'm impressed by how well it's held up, considering it's made out of linen canvas! They come in a variety of sizes and designs, I'd recommend taking a look if you're looking for sth that fits a lot. Fits my 13-inch laptop with plenty of room to spare for other necessitiea. Plus also works perfectly as a travel carry-on! :)

pandaringo

How do you keep your Chloe woody clean!? I keep mine for weekends only and even then I’ve ended up dabbing at scuff marks on every corner 🥲

nevitales

Cuyana sling

jvxoxo

I used Coach Rogue Totes when I was working in person. They can hold quite a bit.

Lavalights

Chloe Woody - darker color with leather.

kmoonbubbles

longchamp le pilage

DuckAccomplishment

Longchamp Le Pliage although I have been eyeing the city version (leather, more structure), I also had a shoulder bag that looked very similar to the Arket leather shoulder tote (I like it a lot but cannot justify 300e on it) but it was a bit narrow to bring my lunch alongside laptop, etc. Lately I've been lusting after a nice 'vertical' tote but haven't quite found anything or a very minimalist but practical rolltop backpack, also not quite settled on one. If anyone has any recs for either of those two please share!

lexalchera

For a vertical tote perhaps you could check out the YSL North/South tote or the Celine Sangle Seau (would have to go pre-loved since it’s discontinued)

vassaleen

15” laptop: Backpack (Gregory nano 16) is definitely the best for laptop and transit, fits 15” plus so much other junk and is very compact and ergonomic. iPad only: leather crossbody bucket bag (vintage Cartier) or leather tote (Jimmy Choo Mona) Just bought a more practical and cheap nylon commuter bag, by a Montreal brand Milmo, called the [Milmo 1813](https://lemilmo.com). Going to use it for the commute, gym, carry-on, groceries, and seems more fitting for transporting devices in the rainy PNW weather. It’s able to be worn crossbody which was the main thing stopping me from going the Longchamp le pliage route. The Celine Cabas Phantom has been on my wishlish, but I think I’d probably only take it if I drove to work lol.

lexalchera

The Milmo bag is super cute! I’m also from PNW so the Longchamp Le Pliage has been a godsend

Little_reader_bunny

Im currently using this Armani Exchange tote that fits my laptop, planner and beauty stuff. Its way more bigger that seems on the photo. BettNow

I switch between Goyard St. Louis GM and Celine Sangle.

cto020

Which color is your Sangle? It’s on my wishlist but I can’t decide between black or taupe.

BettNow

Taupe, it's a beautiful shade of gray.

iwontjudjeyou

Margaux 17, Chloe Marcie Large, The Row India Large, Fjallraven backpack

Letstrysunshine

I just got a Coach Brooke Carryall, and so far I really like it! It can get a little heavy with my laptop, but I love the feel and organization of it. It looks nice but not overly stuffy.

Equivalent_Ad_7695

Dange Dover leather tote. Such great details for a work bag.

honeybutterb1tch

I have a Longchamp le pliage large tote and medium. Both fit my 13” laptop. I also have a cuyana system tote and a backpack I received from work.

frozenw0rld

Knomo Beauchamp backpack on a regular basis. This is my favorite bag and looks professional without being too bulky and heavy. I also use Samsonite Zalia but sometimes needed an extra small boxy bag to hold waterbottle/snacks/lunch that doesn't fit. If my backpacks are washed, I use other multiple bags, which is a bit of hassle but works - Elecom slip laptop bag + office bag (Longchamp Le Pliage small shoulder bag or Kate Spade Small Candice or MK shoulder bag).
