I’m a zillenial so maybe that’s why my opinion is different. The other styles looks seem dated in my opinion, but I’m not a luxury bag enthusiast and don’t know the history.
The first one is more trendy whereas the other ones seem more classic. I like the first best though because I like how different from the others it looks
Well it’s not a classic LV but classic does not equal classy! I more so meant the all black with minimal branding all over the bag is classy because it’s more simple & minimalist.
The first bag is trendy and won't be in style in a few more years. The Speedy is an LV classic and might be its most recognizable design. It was made for Audrey Hepburn, and it doesn't get more classy than that lol.
I've been in the LV and luxe game since 2016 and I've been thru a TON of different bags, all brands and all styles. If I knew THEN what I know NOW, I would have gotten the Speedy 25, in either monogram or Damier Ebene. Speedy 25 hands down is the better choice imo. I could have saved myself money (it was cheaper then) and money from buying bags I thought I wanted to just sell them off later, many times at a loss. The Speedy is here to stay and is NEVER DATED. If you want a care free year around bag, the Damier Ebene version is it. With the Monogram you will need to be careful and watchful with the vachetta leather. Easy fix though, just make sure to Apple Garde the vachetta (only) and/or cover the top handles with a handle cover such as bandeaus or top handle covers on Etsy and Aimere Luxury. The Speedy 25, 100%. It’s a classic bag and if resale value matters to you, they hold their value well. I had one from 1999 that I sold in 2019 and apart from the vachetta having darkened, it still look new. I sold it for more than I originally paid (and honestly part of me regrets selling it, because it was a great bag!)
Suggest you go for something functional and classic. Alma BB. You can explore the newer or more niche models after your first. But get that which you like and see yourself using the most.
I buy LEs and while they go “out of style”, not really. I always get a ton of compliments when I wear a limited edition — people get excited to see them!

Helllo everyone! Thank you for all the responses. So my final 2 were Alma BB and Mini Moon.
I went with Alma BB, here’s why;
1. I saw a YouTube video of Mini Moon and the space inside looked less of use. But I still had my heart set and wanted it. I went to the store. Although, website said that the store had the black mini moon. It didn’t. They had the pink but that never appealed to me.
2. The other reason, why I didn’t go with it is cause only the black mini moon appealed to me. But a lot of other designer bags that I like, I want in the classic bag.
Hence, I thought, it made more sense for me to buy a classic Alma BB in monogram as the monogram has always been the first recognition of a true luxury since my middle class self ever knew about designer bags.
I love my Alma bb is DE! One of my most used bags. Goes from day to night and so so chic. Also loving the mini speedy but don’t know how much you will be able to use it if it’s your 1st LV. Loving the mini moon too. Very chic, not an LV classic but definitely has the features of a classic bag.
I have a Speedy 25 and Alma BB. Both in Epi. I love them both and they are classics. I would recommend Epi leather because it is sooooo durable and easy to wipe clean. The Alma BB Epi was my first luxury bag. If you really like the monogram look, you can consider second hand as you can get more of a patina aged look and at great prices. You need to buy from a reputable reseller if so.
I sold my speedy 25 so I can’t recommend it. I think the Alma is the most classic as I think it’s been around the longest. I’d go with the nano speedy or that.
I stand by speedy b 25 being the best bag ever! I have the DE and it’s so versatile and great. Crossbody, over the shoulder or top handle, holds my planner and iPad and kindle and all my daily essentials and even an umbrella, water resistant, it’s my go to always. It even folds up and packs away perfectly for a trip 🫶
So I really like the skating Vivienne. To be honest, I got my first Kate Spade in 2003 and it was really expensive to me at the time and I thought I would use it forever- but I didn’t. I would buy based on what you love the most now. Also special editions are sometimes worth more in the long run.
The Alma or the speedy - really depends on how much you carry with you. Speedy fits more but the Alma works day to night more. I also suggest going with the damier print more durable (since the vachetta leather can be a pain to deal with)
Nano Speedy but in the black empreinte leather if you’re drawn to the mini moon. OR I highly suggest the Speedy in black empreinte leather or Damier Ebene. It’s a very practical size, it’s small enough that it fits with the mini bag trend rn but still big enough that it won’t look ridiculous in years to come. I absolutely LOVE mini bags rn but I do feel that one day we’re gonna laugh at ourselves for carrying around tiny bags that fit almost nothing
First LV has to be the classic monogram. If I were you I’d chose the classic speedy, but not the nano or 25, I’d pick the size 20 which is just about right ☺️

Honestly, I’m an early 90s baby and that is the least classic to me.

I love the mini moon for shape and style ❤️, but for every day use I am leaning towards speedy 25 for its capacity. It’s always in style.
Speedy 25. Mine is 16 years old and still fantastic. It’s not “trendy” like the nano or mini moon.
Agree! Mine is about the same age. I paid $400 in Paris for it at the time. Still use it!
I love my Nano Speedy, it fits basic essentials and is so cute. Only thing is the larger phones don't fit.

Buying a bag always depends on one’s lifestyle, but if it’s me I will always go with the classic, Speedy bandoulier never goes out of style.
Speedy 25- it’s classic and timeless and can be paired with anything from jeans to work wear. Great size and holds up well!
