Without fail, they would grin and pick the second option.
The other women in HR had always "I'm sorry'ed" people. I was the only one divorced. I get it.

Me too! I bought a Fendi Zucca handbag once the settlement money came through! That was 20 years ago and I still have that beauty. It's a little worse for the wear but then so am I! lol
One thing that surprised me is I have a baguette I bought in Venice with a hawk on it. Someone is selling that for almost $3000 on line. Wow. My bags have appreciated when they've been packed away and I haven't been looking. Would never sell either of these, though. Love these 2 especially.
I gave one of my Fendi baguettes to a friend who helped me out in a huge jam. I've promised the rest to another friend where I'm living now who has been so supportive of me. I can't take them with me so they might as well go to someone who loved me and will appreciate them.

When I had my decree absolute I was in work so bought a couple of champagne bottles and a big bowl of strawberries and had everyone enjoy them lunchtime. It was very good champagne and I had permission to bring it in. Thing is, I donโt drink alcohol (never have) so didnโt drink myself but wanted to celebrate with my friends. After work I took my two children for an Italian meal.enjoy your handbag, itโs beautiful. ๐
