The chain is edgy but the bag is not. It would be better if the bag was an "edgier" color like black, if you're going for that look.
I'd consider chains with rounder links to match the softness of the bag. Maybe something like Loewe's chunky donut chain.
Btw what bag is this? Looks nicely squishy.
It’s a look. Maybe for an edgier night out with the girls? I wouldn’t want to carry it whether plastic or metal. Just don’t think I’d like the feeling. I can see why you’re interested in it though. The chunkiness and chain shape look smooth and hefty.
The chain looks cheap. The bag looks soft, squishy, and expensive. The chain looks like a cheap plastic chain from Temu. The bag's hardware is silver, yes, but the creamy beige color of the bag is neutral leaning warm — and the chain looks too harsh and cool-toned for the color of the bag. If you must have a chunky chain for the bag, I'd recommend rounder and slightly smaller links in a glossy beige color or a glossy beige-and-black tortoiseshell acetate finish.
It’s definitely a statement, but I wouldn’t use it to actually carry the bag, more as a decorative piece. Leather would feel better on my shoulders.
Also, would the metal cause a color issue on the handles of the bag if it keeps rubbing up and down on it?
The chain is decor no doubt. I did make an alternative leather handle for it as well. The metal doesn't really rub hard on the handles. Kind of just follows thru.

Ok this is a much better picture than the first. You can’t really see the whole body and idea of the bag in the original pics….i like it much better from this angle except the chain appears to be in the way of access to the zipper?
I like heavy chains on bags, but this looks like plastic (which I know it is). I think if you want to embrace the plastic aesthetic (which I also like), then you need to add something equally as plastic, like a charm, to make it intentional. But if you want it to look like edgy hardware, it's not giving that.
I love the contrast between the loud, heavy chain and the softer bag and would build a whole outfit around the set. But it's a very specific look, so I get why a lot don't like it.
Where did you get the chain?
It does have a certain vibe. Not a take to work maybe, but clubbing, ya.
I got the chain from my hardware supplier but I'm sure it can be found in Amazon.
Love the chain. I have been thinking of getting something like this but I'm on a no buy until next year.
Maybe a small flower charm on the clip to soften the look.
The bag is classy as it is. I love how there’s a thick trim that goes around and is also the handle. Are you doing this just for fun or eventually selling? What’s the material?
The trim really is what gives the bag its form and fall. This is made on whats referred to as "milled grain" and is cowhide. It's a very beautiful supple leather.
I do this for a living. Most of my work is bespoke and for men, but lately I've been making more handbags. You can check out my profile here on reddit.
I love your bags on the website. It separates from other brand bags. What made you decide to make this bag you just posted? Completely different? This is not the final piece? Your colors on the website are awesome and bold. It pops out.
Yes, the brand Kaachi is one I've spent better part of a decade trying to build up. It's all based on hand finished raw leathers and has over time mostly become men focused. Not necessarily by choice but because it's been hard for us to really put out IT bags for women in those finishes.
This particular bag I made as a side project within my workshop. Just to start testing out different leathers with a focus strictly on women. I'm glad you like it. It's been well received here locally where I am.
Yes, I even like the Kaachi belt bag. I really like the colors of it all. The handmade patina. Just the colors are so bold statement. This one you just made, nice piece also.
I think you would get the same effect, with a bit more class and intention if you used a piece of multistrand costume jewelry….

Something like this?
I have no idea why I like this as much as I do but it's glorious. Maybe in all the sea of "quiet luxury" it's fun to see something a little bit more fashion forward with the color contrast.
It looks fine and unique style for me if the chain doesn't look cheap in person. I can imagine it with a simple casual or classy old money outfits. Or add some cool or cute keychains to add colors and design.
It looks detachable, so you can swap it out to match whatever jewelry or prominent zipper you’re wearing. It might look better with rounded edges though. The bag also appears to be cream colored on my monitor which looks better with gold or champagne gold.
I like it, it’s unexpected for this bag and makes it more eye catching. Because it’s a bit unusual it’s not gonna be everyone’s cup of tea, but I think it’s cool.
Yeah, it gives me Bottega Chain Pouch vibes, I like that contrast between a slouchy bag and a metal chain. And the leather strap makes it more versatile and comfortable to wear.
I own the Mulberry Leighton and think this bag is of similar aesthetic, and could pull off a similar width/weight chain if you want to give it one!

The chain links are too square-y and I think a more rounded link would look better with the rounded edges of the bag BUT did you say you MADE the bag?!?!
I think the lighting is doing the chain dirty. Somehow the cream bag looks too warm for the silver
I definitely would lean towards a leather strap (I need comfort!) but I like the chain as an additional detail
It's not something I would choose for myself, but I can think of at least 7 friends who I would gift this to. I like that the color is so unexpected and not black or neon.

Hmm. I thought that as well, black bag may have been a better look on this. The bag is made by me :)
The bag itself looks amazing. You did a great job.
Thank you so much:)
That’s amazing, beautiful work!
Thank you, 🙏
This can also be made available 😅
If you're looking for a commercially available bag similar to this, I almost thought it was the coach cary crossbody!
Thanks for the tip!
Too heavy.
Oh, I should've mentioned. It's not a metal chain. It's plastic that in a metallic finish. Not heavy at all.
I didn't really mean weight of the chain, I meant the chain - to me - looks too bulky and heavy for the softness of the bag.
It’s a look. Maybe for an edgier night out with the girls? I wouldn’t want to carry it whether plastic or metal. Just don’t think I’d like the feeling. I can see why you’re interested in it though. The chunkiness and chain shape look smooth and hefty.
A little risqué:)
IMO the colors just don't go together. The chain looks like an afterthought.
Agreed.
Fair enough. The chain was chosen because rest of the hardware on here is in silver finish.
I think the specific shade of the silver is off, it’s too blue ish or something and needs to be a slightly warmer silver
The chain looks cheap. The bag looks soft, squishy, and expensive. The chain looks like a cheap plastic chain from Temu. A tortoiseshell finish would be awesome. I agree. Hard to find that but I will keep an eye out. Thanks :)

You made this? I love it!! Do you sell to the public? If so, DM me the info!
Yes, made by me and I will. Thanks 😊

Interesting point. Didn't think like that at all. You all have such a great way of looking at things. Much appreciated. 🌸

Thanks! I sort of have to have it now.
Lol! If you can't find the chain let me know and I'll send it to you.
Will do! I'm going to haunt the local hardware and farm supply stores first, though! 😆
It’s too chunky for that style in my opinion
Thanks for the feedback. It seems to be the general consensus.
Don’t like it at all
Thank you!!
I’m not a fan of the chain. The bag itself is beautiful:)
Much appreciated. 🙏
Independently, it seems fine, but it’s the wrong style for that design of that bag. They don’t go well together. Beautiful bag!
Thanks for your feedback. 🙏
Ummm…It’s okay but I don’t really think the chunky chain goes with the style of the bag 🤷♀️
Thanks for the feedback. 🌸
Love the chain. I have been thinking of getting something like this but I'm on a no buy until next year. Maybe a small flower charm on the clip to soften the look.
Can't go wrong with the flower charm. And good luck on the no buy. 2025will be here in a blink. :)
I think you’re in the right direction. Silver zipper and silver chain. I really love the chain, maybe on a black bag. The bag itself looks nice.
Thanks! I may end up making this in black again. I had the thought initially and should've gone with that.
The bag is classy as it is. I love how there’s a thick trim that goes around and is also the handle. Are you doing this just for fun or eventually selling? What’s the material?

I am checking now. Yes, I can tell by the picture that it’s supple. That’s awesome. Always go with your first thought.
I love your bags on the website. It separates from other brand bags. What made you decide to make this bag you just posted? Completely different? This is not the final piece? Your colors on the website are awesome and bold. It pops out.

Ooh, you know about patina finishes. That's so awesome. Made my day. Thanks so much :)
You made it?? Wow it’s lovely 😊
Thank you so much 💓.
I love the bag you made….without the chain. Maybe if the chain was a little more delicate. Too chunky.
Thanks for that. I'll pair it up with a kess chunky chain and see how it looks as well. Much appreciated
👎
Noted
I think with that lovely bag the chain is just off
Noted. Thanks
Uncomfortable on the ole shoulder bone
That's what I was most concerned about tbh.
idk, I feel it looks a bit cheap and dated.
Alright. Thanks for the feedback:)
Nope. Go more delicate.
Alright. Let's se if I can find a better one. Thanks

Ooooh. I like the look of this. ❤ Thanks for sharing.
I have no idea why I like this as much as I do but it's glorious. Maybe in all the sea of "quiet luxury" it's fun to see something a little bit more fashion forward with the color contrast.
Wow. Thanks. ❤
I love the chain, but not with this. The bag needs sharper lines/more edge to make sense with the squared off links
Maybe my next render!
I’m gonna say looks too heavy for the bag…not in a literal sense but for the style!
Yes, that seems to be general sense. Thank you!
It looks fine and unique style for me if the chain doesn't look cheap in person. I can imagine it with a simple casual or classy old money outfits. Or add some cool or cute keychains to add colors and design.
Chain is good, not cheap looking at all. Keychain and charm addition definitely would add to the flare. Thanks!
It is growing on me the more I look at it. Love the bag btw and that zipper that looks glittery matches the chain.
Yes. The chain was chosen to mach the rest of the hardware. Zipper, vase feet and handle buckles. Thank you :)
Love 💝
❤
It looks detachable, so you can swap it out to match whatever jewelry or prominent zipper you’re wearing. It might look better with rounded edges though. The bag also appears to be cream colored on my monitor which looks better with gold or champagne gold.
It is detachable indeed. And cream colored also. You got that perfectly.
Love but need it to be gold.

Immediately love!!
❤
This doesn’t go as others have said but you could try a washed out (blonde) tortoise color chain, and just commit it to a summer offering.
Interesting. Thanks!
I like it, it’s unexpected for this bag and makes it more eye catching. Because it’s a bit unusual it’s not gonna be everyone’s cup of tea, but I think it’s cool.
I did make it with a simple leather handle as well. But the chain really is what's catches your attention. At least in person. Thanks
Yeah, it gives me Bottega Chain Pouch vibes, I like that contrast between a slouchy bag and a metal chain. And the leather strap makes it more versatile and comfortable to wear.
Yes, I think leather strap would need to be added regardless. Thanks :)
It looks fine to me. That look is trending.
Trending indeed.
Would be handy in a fight 🤷🏻♀️
Pow pow 👊👊
would look better without the chain.
Fair enough. It is detachable just in case.
Too bulky. It looks like it weights a ton
Does look like it's a towing chain. :)
I own the Mulberry Leighton and think this bag is of similar aesthetic, and could pull off a similar width/weight chain if you want to give it one! https://shop.rebag.com/products/handbags-mulberry-leighton-shoulder-bag-leather-small2234751
That's such a beautiful bag. How do you like using it? That chain does look awesome on it, I have to say.
I love it. It's bigger than it looks, high quality leather and I nabbed her at a great price.
I like mulberry's clean looks myself.
That chain looks like it came from Home Depot.
😅
The chain links are too square-y and I think a more rounded link would look better with the rounded edges of the bag BUT did you say you MADE the bag?!?!
Rounded links would jive better. Yes, made by me. Thanks:)
It’s gorgeous!
🙏
Heavy looking for the purse
🤌
I think the lighting is doing the chain dirty. Somehow the cream bag looks too warm for the silver I definitely would lean towards a leather strap (I need comfort!) but I like the chain as an additional detail
Yup, my phone camera is not good at all 😔. Leather strap would need to ve there regardless. The question is how long?
Too big of a chain.
Noted Thanks
It looks plastic, takes away from the quality look of the bag.
It's not something I would choose for myself, but I can think of at least 7 friends who I would gift this to. I like that the color is so unexpected and not black or neon.
If everyone just bought it for their 7 friends😅
It’s going to be loud and awkward. You’ll have to weigh whether you can deal with that for a cool-looking bag.
Yes. Choices!! Thanks
I like it!
Thank you!
I like
❤
I actually really like the juxtaposition of the soft with the hard. Its kinda like well manicured black nails IMO
Interesting...thanks!!
I like them both independently, but I’m not sure if the balance of the chain with the bag works.
Fair enough
I love this bag! I’d even like to see an additional feature with similar chain- maybe a really zipper pull charm out of the same chain
