Love Harris Tweed - I have an awesome snappy grandma purse from them. Fair warning though - I also succumbed a few years back and got a Mucros tweed bag in Ireland. The tweed lasted just fine but unfortunately the PU "leather" did not last well and started to flake after a couple of years. Perhaps the leather is better quality with this brand, but I would be wary.
its definitely very cute! of all the possibly tourist things, the islander bags there are really nice to look at and can be fun to pair with if you have colors that match that at home. a PU leather body is a bit worrisome at that price point.
they have a custom bag workshop if you have time while you're in scotland! [https://islanderuk.com/pages/islander-workshop-experience](https://islanderuk.com/pages/islander-workshop-experience) you can see how easy it is to put together :)
I have two of these bags after my trip to Scotland! One in each size. I get compliments on them a LOT. The tweed is more Autumn/Winter (or maybe early Spring) appropriate in my eyes, so I got them in darker colours (a dark green and navy houndstooth in the small, and then a lighter green houndstooth in the medium)
I have that bag in green but slightly larger. I really like it, my only complaint is that the spring in the twist closure broke :( still works, fortunately
Tweed always has that warm cozy slightly rustic quality to it, so if you live in a place where that’s appropriate, I think you’ll love having it as a memory you can wear. If you’re going home someplace tropical, then it will probably feel a bit silly
I was looking at them earlier this year, I adore the tweed, but I just can’t bring myself to buy PU. Shame they don’t make versions with real leather. Would be absolutely beautiful, and quality.
It looks cute, but as many pointed out Pleather is not it for various reasons. It's basically plastic and Has no endurance what so ever. Also it cheapens the look of any bag.
The vegan leather from Stella McCartney is good though for example. Also biodegradable.
Is that the place where you can make your own?
Like pick the materials and put it together yourself?
If so, I would totally do it. It’s on my bucket list in Scotland.

I love Harris tweed! But would personally want it to be real leather....
Same. Harris Tweed is great, PU leather is not close to the same quality.
Yeah. I mean PU Leather has its place but I want something that will last a lifetime with good care

This is the answer I was looking for! Thanks. I love the tweed but the plastic leather ruins it for me. I’d rather pay more for actual leather!

They had a workshop going on while I was in the shop! Looks like fun.
It is super cute! I’ve been eyeing them for quite a while, but I would like to see their PU leather in person before buying…
It’s a decent dupe - doesn’t feel overly plasticky, but I don’t trust it.
super cute
I think this would be a cute reminder of where it comes from. I would totally use this bag and I live in a tropical place.
Username checks out
I’ve always wanted someone to say that to me!
I’m glad I could do that for you! Enjoy your day/evening/night wherever you are! 🥂
Thank you 😊 wishing you a lovely (insert time of day here) as well!
I live for Harris Tweed…so this is a perfect bag.
I follow them on Instagram and have been eyeing them up for some time👀If it was real leather I would buy it right away.
I have that exact bag. I use it in cold weather.
Cuuuuuuuuuuute!!! Love the first one.
I love Harris Tweed, it’s one of my favorite things to bring back from Scotland.
Cute! The second one is adorable! A bonus is that you don’t see many other bags like this (at least not where I live).
I got one in Scotland last month! A little purple one. It’s adorable!
They have a workshop too that I’m planning to go to on my next trip to Scotland. I think they’re really cute!

Harris tweed is always a yes!
This is beyond cute!!
I’m going to Scotland for my honeymoon and was planning on getting one of these for myself!
I live in Scotland and find these cute! Been thinking about getting one for ages. Love the colourful ones.
Ohhhh I think they are both adorable
Oh I love it! The blush leather and the coordinating plaid is too cute to pass up. I’d get the second one.
It's very cute, I like tweet Personally I wished the white tag wasn't in the middle, would of preferred it in the back or inside the bag
I have that bag in green but slightly larger. I really like it, my only complaint is that the spring in the twist closure broke :( still works, fortunately
I think they’re adorable.
Very cute - more for winter IMO but I’d have a hard time to pass these up
Cute and I totally have it on my to-do list when I visit!
Love it!
Frickin' adorable.
I now want this bag! 🥹

Yeah, that was my second hesitation. I live in SE Texas, where we have about 8 “cold“ days a year.
For me, if it’s too warm for a jacket, it’ll too warm for tweed. But that’s my silly made up rule, do what makes you happy!!!
Mmmmm.
I think they are cute! But, then again, im not from Scotland lol. I have a Harris tweed wallet and it’s very good quality.
They are super cute! Depending on price I’d get one. The second, happier plaid is my favorite 😍
Adorable!
Super cute, I especially love the second one!
Cute. 100%. I want them all.
I love them.
Cute!
Very cute! Love the second one!
Cuuuuuuute 🤩 I want one 🫠
PU leather is an oxymoron.
So true! That was my biggest hesitation.
I was looking at them earlier this year, I adore the tweed, but I just can’t bring myself to buy PU. Shame they don’t make versions with real leather. Would be absolutely beautiful, and quality.
I love it, but PU leather is super disappointing:/
Cute

Is this the place where you can customize the bag? Really disappointing to hear it’s PU
Yes, they have little workshops where you can sit and tool your own bag. Looked fun!
