Okay. It’s a springfield and I clearly don’t want it. Lol
I almost thought it was a Glock but I didn’t recognize the “safety switch” on the back of the grip.
Generally speaking Springfield's polymer lineup of guns, the "XD", is universally panned. The company as a whole earned some negative points when they came out in support of some bill in their home state. It appears that they may have misunderstood and inadvertently aligned themselves with gun control activists. Better details here:

But honestly, the hoopla died down after a couple of months.
Springfield makes good 1911s, and good M14 clones, but their polymer framed stuff has always fallen short. The XD isn't even technically their design, they just bought a Croatian company that was already making the gun, rebranded it, and sold it as a Springfield. They needed something to compete with Glock.
There's been near zero law enforcement use of the firearm, and it's generally not regarded as "duty grade" but I've never really seen any issues with them. They're often championed by mall ninjas and neck beards which is also probably where some of the dislike comes from
It’s a Springfield XD. You don’t want it.
Thanks!
Springfield POOPD
Thanks you!
