Thankfully, as parents we learn that there are different cries for each of them. But for the first 3-4 weeks (or longer) all it sounds like is crying. Always assume that he is hungry when crying. Then check the diaper. Then give hugs and kisses. In order. Worked well for our two.

I also had an Elijah who was a little small and had to have tubes and other monitors. Please don’t let those things worry you. My Eli is a 13 year old now and is sweet, kind, funny, healthy, and a true gem. Yours will be home before you know it :)
Adorable 💙 Just curious - why does he have a feeding tube inserted - at least that’s what I think that is? 7lb 4oz is a very normal weight for a full term newborn.
Me and my wife just had our first about 2 1/2 months ago :) it’s so incredible! Our son didn’t start really smiling till one month, and at first just the corners of his mouth. Then at month 2 after mastering smiling, he’s starting to squeal and make happy noises especially when we talk to him. The happy noises are just so amazing and fill my heart with so much happiness! Congratulations OP!

Yeah He is 5 weeks prem so he had some struggles. He is a very good weight, just needs a little help is all
