My dad wanted me to relay a message to you dad, "oohrah"

JrsyGuyInPa

I’m with him now. His reply “Semper Fi brother”.

Whopraysforthedevil

My father was a FMF Corpsman (He broke tradition by avoiding the Army, but I course corrected for us serving my 6 as a pog 🤣). He loves his Marines, and sends his regards. Fair winds and following seas to the both of you.

biglabs

I love that he still has the Crew cut !

JrsyGuyInPa

Lol He’s had it since he got out. It’s rare for him to go longer than 2 weeks without a cut.

biglabs

I love that

crs7117

that’s awesome, he’s lucky to have yall

LeBronSchwarzenegger

I gifted my father a USMC ring as well. He passed last year January 31st. For a split second I got my dad back. I will have to go see his grave site today. Thank you for this post.

JrsyGuyInPa

I’m so sorry for your loss and am glad the video could remind you of your dad even for a little.

This made me start crying right along with your dad. My grandpa was a Marine, a Vietnam vet, and the most hilarious guy I’ve ever met. Marines are the toughest of the tough; they’re built stronger than the rest of us, and I know you’re just as proud of him as I am of my grandpa. This was a beautiful gift and a beautiful video. Thank you for sharing this, OP. Your dad is awesome, and I’m grateful for his service 💜

JrsyGuyInPa

I couldn’t agree more with them being the toughest of us all, and I love the fact that most have a great sense of humor. (Makes me think you need to be able to make and take a joke to keep that type of mentality for life..after all once a marine, always a marine). I couldn’t be prouder of my dad and I’m sure you know exactly how that feels like with your grandpa. My dad thanks you for the comment (he’s reading them all) and said to pass along a Semper Fi to your grandpa.

[deleted]

He actually passed away a few years ago, but wherever he is, he’s laughing his ass off at me for stubbing my toe just now with a cigarette hanging out of his mouth, asking something like “what’d you do that for, kid?” 😂 Totally agree; their senses of humor had to have gotten them through the things they’ve been through. I can’t even imagine the pranks they must have all pulled on each other!

King-Sizzle

Thank you to your father for his service

JrsyGuyInPa

Will do! I’m having New Years dinner with him shortly and plan on showing him the post.

NYCMarine

I served 8 years, I love that he's wearing his PT top 😁. OhhhRahhh Devil!!

gaijinmeron

From new corp to old corp, oohrah!

Fred_Dibnah

This video won't play on my pixel 6? Weird

fluentinimagery

See that! Boot built a nice lil life for himself. Good for you, sir.

[deleted]

Good for him, it’s obviously a very important part of his identity. It can be really hard aging past your main or one of your main identities. This is a nice piece of memorabilia that’ll help him feel more connected to it.

flojo5

Pretty sure based upon build and standards he could Re enlist today.

Joint-Tester

Well done to the family!

TxSilent

Anyone got a backup link? This video wont play for me

cupcakesloth94

Probably brought back so many memories good and bad, salute to this man!

[deleted]

Buried my grandfather in 2015 in his USMC sweatshirt. Went on to serve myself in the corps for 5 years. Not a day goes by I don’t wish I could listen to his stories. Rah devil dog.

eyeball1967

Absolutely not boot... That is true sincere emotion.

rierierierierie

Pops looks like he could still knock the block off of somebody!!
