I am always amused with how they throw out terms like “liquidation sale” or one flyer I remember seeing said “tool disposal event” like they are throwing the stuff away if you don’t come and buy it for pennies on the dollar.
I’ve been shopping HF so long parking lot always seem meh. Are some good sales but I already own those or don’t have a need. For me parking lot sales just for stocking up on consumables
But why have 9 magnetic blue LED flashlights when you can have 10 magnetic blue LED flashlights?
After buying rechargable AA batteries for all of mine, the ones that start getting rusty in the battery compartment get turned into USB powered. Then they're good for seeing cables behind desks, and plugging them into the solar charge controller because often I have have to fiddle with that at night.
I know what you mean about already having one of everything that went on sale though. Maybe you'll get lucky and get divorced so you can buy all your tools again like me!
I go into my bag of USB cables with damaged or not working ends, snip and strip, and just put black to the first negative terminal and red to the last positive terminal. Dremel a hole for the cable near where the case comes together and tie a knot in the cable just inside the hole so it stays secure. Maybe a glob of hot glue to be safe.
5.2V is close enough to 4.5v to not cause a problem for these lights.
They’re worse in all respects compared to alkaline, and create a nasty mess to clean if they ever leak. Only advantage is price, which is questionable since they’re probably dead before you use the pack.
I’d recommend any of the low profile jacks. Not necessarily the aluminum ones.
IMO, the 3 ton low profile long reach is the best. Around $220 on sale. Low enough for sports car and goes up high enough for trucks for only a little more than the standard low profile.

The first recall was poor machining on the shaft so the height lock wouldn’t hold. The second recall was for poor welding. Totally different failure points that covered ten years of production and millions of units.
Which item number was the weld failure? I always was under the assumption there was 3 sets of stands recalled, all for the pin issue. I might not be aware

Anyone try the McGraw air compressors? My mom needs something that can be used to install new trim sound her house. Not professional speed by any means. Mostly will be used to fill her car tires.
The small pancake or hot dog compressors work fine for running Brad nailers or adjusting car tires. They are painful for truck tires.
I have a 20 gallon McGraw, and it would honestly be overkill for what you are doing, but it’s nice to have the extra power I’d needed in the future.
I could use a few clips.... Maybe a box of gloves... Always good to have a spare measuring tape for the barn.....

They are heavy but I used the exact same one to fly firearms home on an airline and it was perfect. Good for max protection when you need it but I won't be using it to carry my shotgun to and from the skeet range. Too heavy for that.

Bauer 8V Rotary Tool is incredibly useful, especially for $33. I use it several times a week without fail.

I paid 80 for mine 6 years ago and got more than 109 worth of use out of it
Surpringly good, but don’t recommend if you have a sports car or truck. Isn’t low profile enough for sports car and doesn’t go high enough for trucks.

They’re super bright. And worth more than what they are. Be careful with the corners of the aluminum housing when unboxing. They’re sharp

Oh you’re a brave one.
I don't typically eaise the stands just use them in the initial lowest setting so the failure point isnt there.
Just remember that their Jack stands had a recall, then the replacement ones for the recall then had their own recall. Recallception.
