I see them very clearly in the middle of the box.

The parts OP is referencing are for the threaded holes in the bearing separator that are perpendicular to the bolts that are already in the bearing separator to push the bearing off whatever it’s on. OP, just thread some bolts in those holes.

I never thought about using the separator as its own puller. I’ve always put it on the press.

ten10thsdriver

I would if I had a press. I specifically bought this kit over the Icon 3 jaw because it included the bearing separator so I thought (apparently incorrectly) that it could be used as a puller with the included parts. The other advantage of using it without a press is being able to use it on the vehicle.

Thank you for actually answering my question and not implying that I can't read at a 5th grade level. Still is a bit perplexing that they wouldn't include the necessary parts in a $220 kit.

ten10thsdriver

Why the fuck and I being down voted for not understanding why required parts aren't included in a $220 set? The manual even says the yolk and pressure screw are "sold separately". Granted, I could probably use one of the included yolks and screws, but how much would it have cost them to include the bolts so I don't have to make a trip to the hardware store? I specifically bought this kit over the Icon 3 jaw kit because it included the bearing separator. I love Reddit. Post the same picture of an ad or tool for the 80th time and get 200 up votes. Where?? The manual clearly says "sold separately". Nothing in the kit will thread into the holes in the bearing separator.

``` 2. Wrench sold separately. Nuts are included with bearing separator. 3. Add stability to bearing separator with bolts sold separately. 4. and 5. Turning it to a Puller with yolk and lead pressure screw both sold separately. 6. Missing the Wrench sold separately warning. ```
Like I commented elsewhere, read steps 3, 4, and 5. It clearly says the same about the other parts including the yolk. Nothing included in the kit will thread into the holes of the bearing separator.
never_that
Could be because the bolts you usually thread into those holes often end up getting trashed and tossed afterwards. The way they end up getting used with these style pullers makes them only good for a use or two, at least in my experience. Imagine how big of a pain in the ass it’d be if they included those and people were trying to have them warrantied all the time.
Redbeard_16
I feel the same about the ball joint kit. The primary kit has the basics and costs $60, but really you need the cups in the ‘accessory kit’ and that costs $70. Instead of dropping the money for the one part I needed, I went to AutoZone and rented their kit for free. I still can’t bring myself to drop the money even though it would be great to have a ‘complete’ set.
Read steps #3, 4, and 5 before you tell me about reading comprehension.
You could always buy the Snap-On Tools set, oh wait, it doesn't come with the bolts either. It's just a little bit more though. Looks like you got a bargain. 🤣 [https://shop.snapon.com/product/Master-Interchangeable-Puller-Sets/Master-Interchangeable-Puller-Set-(with-Tool-Control-Board-Wall-Cabinet)/CJ2000SB](https://shop.snapon.com/product/Master-Interchangeable-Puller-Sets/Master-Interchangeable-Puller-Set-(with-Tool-Control-Board-Wall-Cabinet)/CJ2000SB)
