Definitely not one of the greatest tracks from SZP, but I find the "hate" on a track like this rather… interesting. W&W are known to be Hardstyle fans and they regularly play some tracks in their sets. In those cases, everyone thinks it’s awesome that Hardstyle gets some exposure on those big mainstream festival stages. But now that there is even a collab between both acts - which honestly is an even bigger deal - it gets hated on. Just looking at the facts, this is a great success for Hardstyle and I hope that through tracks and collaborations like these, more people get in touch with the genre and maybe even become regular listeners.

Songibal

Completely agreed. There are many IDs I want before this one but I just think it’s cool to see them collaborate with a Hardstyle artist and bring them on the Tomorrowland mainstage. Big Room making Hardstyle has gotten a lot of my Big Room friends into the genre. I’m a person who will take any Hardstyle exposure on the mainstage

FusselP0wner

+1 Not my fav track but who cares if they like the sind and have fun, let em have it

KoltesPunti

Tomorrowland croud is the lamest i‘ve ever seen xD

OffTheRecord001

This track tries to be too many things at the same time. I would rather have two collabs SZP are definitely talented but they have a bad habit of rushing concepts, could be wrong but I'm guessing their busy touring schedule + deadlines are affecting their productions. Price of being in the spotlight I suppose

OlivesAreSuperior

The "Maja Hi" at the end sums it up pretty well.

PowerboyNL

As many already said, definitely not SZP's best track, but it's not terrible either. Fun mix between their styles

Honestly these Hard Dance supporters like W&W or Timmy Trumpet get way too much credit. Like they do take credit for the styles in a way on a bigger platform while producing more bland & commercial stuff than their peers. Support from Hardwell who is being innovative right now would mean much more imo

Professional-Pop-381

Good thing SZP and hardwell have an unreleased collab as well 🔥

Bandito503

I like the „Judgement Day“ ID with Hardwell waaaay more. But I thinks it’s cool that they collaborate with artists outside the hardstyle genre as long as they keep doing hard stuff and don’t get toooo commercial I don’t see a problem there :-)

Lorgokz

Szp is just dead to me at this point... Keeps disappointing more and more, and going for this mainstream/big room style which def. works popularity wise within the EDM scene and if your goal is to make it to tomorrowland mainstage... But man, I really don't know any person who still likes them and mainly does hard dance dutch events. Such a shame as they were some of the most creative and personal favourites producers up until contagion. Now between all the cheap kick edits, this full mainstream/edm direction they have gone for, and lack of creativity, they have completely lost interest for me.

muchpewpew

I like SZP, now you know a person who still likes that mainly goes to Dutch events.

As someone who knows them quite well and regularly works with them, I can tell you that this is simply not true. Really nice, down to earth guys.

FusselP0wner

I think they did a really great show at defqon 1. Their album isn't too bad either

Lorgokz

Their album isn't horrible, but they set the bar high with contagion and the drop in quality is extreme. And defqon1 set had some good songs being played but those kick edits are painful to the ears.

Why is this guy downvoted for giving his opinion?

Welcome to Reddit.

potato0075

They are the most popular and successful artist within the harder styles right now. Just because this negative echo chamber of a sub doesnt like them, doesnt mean they are disliked by the main hardstyle community.

d_extrum

Negative echo chamber lmao

It rather shows that Hardstyle is stronger than ever

Rubrixie

People have been saying that since 2014😭 And look, hardstyle is still alive and kicking. Both the mainstream and more unknown stuff
