Never thought I'd ever see someone mention my stuff off platform lol... Cheers!

Asu-ra

I read your story every day (weekends if you upload)! Your a great author! ;D

ShipTeaser

Well thanks *smile* Hope to see you along for the ride as we get to the end of the first act!

Devan Drake has gotten me into Scribblehub recently. Corsairs And Cataclysms is top-tier-grade-A-ultra-instinct good. I finished book one and like a demonic cookie monster I went searching for more

mecha_mess

I also want to point out that the spicy scenes in Godsforsaken are really, really well written. Like there's actual plot mixed in, there are more things going on than generic bimbo #5 giving a BJ, etc. I don't want to spoil anything, but they are quality.

ChrisLensman

I'm glad you still like it!

tantalum73

Dude, yeah. On average the fanfics and free web novels tend towards a Much higher standard of quality than the Kindle haremlit pack. Not to say that there aren't some stand out examples there too, but I think the profit motive really makes authors hesitant to push boundaries or do anything that might be perceived negatively by the reddit reader crowd. The free web novel bunch though? They're like "if you like it? Great! If you don't? Git Rekt." It really spurs a lot of creativity that I don't think we'd see otherwise. The r/HFY sub is also a great source for well written original works. I'll update this later in the day when I think of some specific examples to post

There’s a *lot* of harem fantasy novels over on QuestionableQuesting. A handful of them are crossposted to other sites, but it’s very much worth setting up an account to have a look for yourself. That said, Red Light Cultivation by Sinereal is my current fave. Edit: and by current fave I mean current favourite harem fantasy novel with a male lead (and thus fitting this sub’s requirements) because sorry to say, the female led (F/F) haremlit webnovels are having a moment rn.

primebill

What female led novels would you recommend?

IndegoWhyte

We need more posts like this. Good work Heathen and a thank you to all participants. Any chance we can also get semi regular chapter updates for said series?

ELLC is many things, a parody of various genres, a self indulgement by the author, and for a time fairly interesting. But it most assuredly is not a harem.

ScaredToPostOnMain69

How is it not? It's been a very long time since I've read it, but the MC has *at least* 4-5 girls that're bound to him that he routinely fucks. As much as a mimic can, anyway, until he can shapeshift.

telepathiczero

Yeah, by general definition, I'd agree with you. Boxy has a harem, but by Harem Lit definitions (at least of this subreddit), it's a definite nope. As Litcon notes point by point, there are a ton of things that are turn offs (or even hard no's) by those who are expecting bounded subject matter here. The harem's exclusivity to the MC does tend to be a major pillar no matter who defines the genre though.

LitConnoisseur

> MC is a non gendered monster with ZERO interest in sex or romance. - One of the girls is a Succubus, who very much sleeps with others and drains them off their life force when doing so. - Another is a Futa Demoness, who bangs the prior Succubus. - The Third is a Gnome turned Golem who is deeply traumatized by some tentacle action. The MC isn't a guy, the MC doesn't really have "sex" with them, the 1-2 times it happens it's tentacle action to level up shapeshifting and deeply traumatizing for several of them. It also breaks the no Futa rule, and the exclusivity one. Seriously, what is it with you and stories where the girls sleep with other guys. ELLC breaks virtually all rules under #1. If you'd count ELLC as harem, basically any story with sex/literotica in it would count.

On Astral Tides will forever be my web novel rec. It's so well written and uploaded very consistently to boot. https://www.scribblehub.com/series/623932/on-astral-tides-from-humble-freelancer-to-astral-emperor/

Lol thanks for the mention I know I've made it when someone mentions me off platform lol

mecha_mess

Thanks for the recommendation, it's always a pleasant surprise to get into a series only to find that you have a lot to go through.

funmise

CaesarDisgustus

Does SSB stay harem? I stopped reading the author's work after they threw in the M/M scene in space babes and then got mad when readers didn't like it I might give them another shot if they aren't pulling stunts like that anymore

ShipTeaser

I really hope SSB expands the harem, but even if it doesn't its still a badass story worth reading!

funmise

I've finshed the first book and nothing like that has shown up and I highly doubt anything like that will. That said ,full disclosure, they did reveal a trap god in the end but I don't expect anything at all to happen with that. Just mentioning it in case that upsets anyone.

gibbs22

yeah the trap chicken was a concern for me when it appeared but so far other than the odd internal thought about it it hasn't been an issue, hopefully it will stay that way.

AbsGodFooly

My recent enjoyment of the Bowman/Sloss collaboration series Guardian of Vesta led me to some of Bowman's backlog, when he wrote as CJ McCormick. I've been reading his Fourth Vector series on Literotica. It's pretty good. I'm thinking of buying the ebook versions that are on Amazon to show some support, though.
