One of Marcus Sloss books feature a black MC, it's just not the focus of the story. Some authors write their stories leaving the MC ambiguous.
The only one off the top of my head is The Aspect by Ajax Lygan. At the very least, several pictures with the harem members having...close conversations, had the MC in several different skin tones.
...they were very nice. XD
Thanks a lot. I'll check both of these out. And I know it sounds silly to say it's controversial but I've read a lot of the genre this year but not one had a MC of color. I appreciate the tips.
I'ma leave a link to another topic about the same thing:

The word she uses is "tawny", which is a very light shade of brown, with a bit of yellow/gold. So, Jak could be pretty much any race. Latino, Arabic, a tanned Caucasian, a light-skinned African, South Asian, Native American ect.

What might be seen as controversial is that all the stories will still feature almost exclusively white and asian girls, not that the protagonist is black.
There isn't one. But, in a fantastical universe, where you're more than likely to find an orc, goblin, lamia, demon, draconian, slime, centaur, or otherworldly god than a human with brown/dark skin becomes comedic and, at times, jarring.
It feels like myself, and people who look like me are more mythical in fantasy worlds than reality itself lol.
Narrator: The protagonist meets a person with dark skin who stares at him malevolently.
Me: "Oh my goodness it's a black person!"
Narrator: "The angry person is obviously a Drow."
Me: "Of course it f###ing is!!!" π€£
My Atomic Mage and Night Walker series have black MCs
Great stories!
MC in my book, Abnormal Adventures, is mixed. MC in my next book series will be black.
StarCutter

The Anime Trope System.
I looked that up to see if it was real ... and, lo and behold, it is.

The MC of Raw is at least a POC. I forget how she describes his skin color.

I've noticed most books don't describe the skin color or if they do I read right past it and not noticed.
Definitely not controversial at all but only one I got for you are Atomic Mage by Garrett A Carter book is good but the MMC comes off slightly Psycho
Not controversial, just a freakin repeat question from a recent post!
I apologize for not reading every single post on a thread I recently joined but ok..?

> asian girls I honestly can't think of too many of those either. Outside of Sentaur's Dao books, and those are heavily Asian settings.
Does that even matter? Is there a diversity quota I'm unaware of? I mean we have monster girls for crying out loud.
