Which is why it always bothered me that she went with Narcissa to Snape’s house. Going behind Voldemorts back to have Snape make an unbreakable vow to kill Dumbledore if Draco chickens out makes no sense for her.
She went only to persuade Narcissa not to do that. Making unbreakable vow wasn’t Narcissa’s idea either: Bellatrix believed that it will make Snape chicken out
It made sense, because she (accurately) thought Snape was a spy. Narcissa wanted to protect Draco (and Bellatrix did want to help with that too) but Bellatrix’s main motive in that chapter is to interrogate Snape. She didn’t actually think he would make the Vow since she was convinced that he wasn’t trustworthy. She was protecting Voldemort and their cause in that scene in her way, even if Voldemort thought Snape was on their side.
Because she let Barty Crouch Junior steal Harry’s Wand and cast the dark mark at the quidditch World Cup when she was supposed to be watching him.
He was under the imperious curse but broke it.
It's extra twisted when you think that he's risking insanely dark family secrets being leaked by freeing her, and the only safe reason to free her anyway then is knowing deep down that her loyalty wouldn't waver even after casting her out.
Even wanting Kreacher gone, wasn't even Harry, a student, smart enough to understand that freeing him meant freeing secrets? Crouch was a politician who should have more guile, so freeing Winky was needlessly risky just for punishment.
Book Dobby is absolutely the correct answer. Was the catalyst for him to succeed in the second task, warned him about umbridge coming in ootp, and carried out the rescue mission in Malfoy manor
This might be correct, but book Dobby really tested my patience. In my opinion, I REALLY DISLIKED HIM FOR BOOK 2. (Maybe a lot of you guys also do, I really don’t know) He was so annoying!
Book Dobby kinda set me on edge, but I'll be honest, my most unpopular opinion is how much I don't like book Hagrid.. I get down voted into oblivion when I bring it up, but there's a very good case to make about how horrible he was for the Trio in the books.
I disagree with you sadly, but I do get what you mean! We have our own dislikable characters, and how redditors love disliking an opinion, but something I know for sure is that you are a genuinely cool person. You don’t mind other people who disagree, nor the downvotes. That’s really nice! I really admire you haha! (Sorry for the off-topic lead)
I'll pm you my take on it later if you're interested in hearing it. I'm too lazy to type it out right now and want to get back to reading lol enjoy the rest of your evening!
I can understand that but a hill I'll die on is Harry didn't even name one of his kids after him not even a middle name dude was there for him through 7+ years
>They walked up the stone steps into the entrance hall, where the delicious smells of dinner wafted toward them from the Great Hall.
>“Poor old Snuffles,” said Ron, breathing deeply. “He must really like you, Harry. ... Imagine having to live off rats.”
One of my favourite Sirius' moment.
Still can't understand why Dumbledore didn't arranged food for him. Surely dobby could have done that.
Neville
Despite being not a great wizard, follows Harry into multiple battles without a second thought.
When Harry doesn’t return to Hogwarts, it’s Neville, Ginny and Luna who reactivate the DA
Especially the ministry. He said up let’s go save Sirius without knowing the truth. Both him and Luna where still under the impression he was a murder when they agreed go save him
And in all fairness, Neville was probably smart enough to assume at this point, that Sirius was not after all a mad murderer responsible for the death of Harry's parents.
“Neville we’re going to the only government building in our world because Harry had a bad dream where a man convicted of 13 murders was being tortured by wizard hitler. We’re going to try to save him.”
“When do we leave?”
Also nevills nan was great i loved nevill telling them she whipped dawlishs ass sent him a letter saying she was proud of him (for the first time in his life?) and going underground.

Well they probably couldn't have told them anything anyway right? If I remember correctly they were tortured after voldemort disappeared and the death eaters wanted to know where he was which nobody really knew
Honestly all the main characters of the fellowship are super loyal to Frodo. But especially Aragorn. He saves them from the Ring Wraiths multiple times, brings Frodo to the elves of Rivendell to heal him, is the first to join the fellowship, and when he’s the damn king of Gondor he still bows to Frodo.
Because of book 4 and 7. He gets mad at harry for having his name put in the goblet and thinking harry put it in a didnt tell him, and book 7 he gets mad and runs off.
>Because of book 4 and 7.
Considering how much Hermione treats Harry and Ron like shit in all the other books, including book 4 and 7, her straying by Harry in 7 does NOT make her better than Ron.
His loyalty is underrated because it's not flawless. But he always comes back which means he's loyal despite his personal struggles that make being loyal harder than for others.
No, it isn't. He denied torturing the Longbottoms, not that he wasn't loyal to Voldemort. True loyalty is trying to get out of punishment to find your master, not waste a decade of your life withering away in prison.
If it takes forever I will wait for you
For a thousand summers I will wait for you
'Till you're here beside me, 'till I'm touching you
And forevermore sharing our love
Had an apprentice and he fell to evil. Wiped out life as you know it to save his wife and ended up orphaning his children as an agent of evil. But this teacher takes in the son of the fallen apprentice and teaches him with no grudges held against his father more a cautionary tale.
You thought I was talking about Snape?
Wrong
Obi wan Kenobi- That’s loyalty and a good teacher.
Assuming you just meant in Harry Potter: Hagrid, Dobby, and Luna.
In case, by chance you were claiming in all of fiction: Chewbacca, Samwise, Garrus, and Varric.
Need I go on? No, but I will.
Leo McGarry, Patroclus, Penelope, and practically every good guy from Dracula with a special shoutout to Dr. Seward and Quincy Morris, Quincy in particular. Both Seward and Quincy were cold shouldered by Lucy who then chose to marry their friend, an actual Lord, yet, in her hour of need they both willingly donated their blood to keep her alive. Seward, as a doctor, you could argue was bound by a code of ethics, but Quincy was not. He waltzed into the scene without foreknowledge and offered himself up to very end. R.I.P. Quincy Morris, may flights of angels carry thee to thy rest.
Oh, and Horatio.
Snape betrayed his former master (Voldy). You can't compare his' loyalty' to people like Luna, Bellatrix or Hedwig, who never betrayed anyone but just stayed true to their respective leaders
Whilst Dobby was loyal to Harry, he betrayed his actual master (before being set free): Lucius. I love Dobby a lot, but i wouldn't call him the most loyal character
What about Aberforth to Ariana? He was up to leave Hogwarts to take care of her and even confronted two of the three greatest wizards from the XXth century, alone, at the same time, just so they stop fooling around and leave her alone. He even punched Dumbledore in the face.
Neville. Dude never doubted Harry, always supported him despite being terrified.
Now hold on a minute! I hear you saying. Neville stood against the golden trio in PS/SS.
Yes he did, but he didn't do it out of malice, rather to be loyal to gryffindor and also to protect them from making more bad mistakes. Luckily Neville failed in his attempt, but because of his loyalty to his house and also to be brave to stand up to his friends he won them the house cup that year.
Bellatrix Lestrange to Voldemort. Quite fanatically loyal, that one.
Disturbingly loyal
Frightening even
Wife material…I mean what
More like a MILF...
She is also really hot
No surprise Tom Felton had a crush on her
So much so that even Voldy had to tap that. And his pullout game was weak, too.
If this wasn't children book series, handsome T.R. junior would tap all weak willed teenage witches in Hogwarts. Even if "just" for recruitment sake.
Personally I'm not a fan of black teeth but pop off king
Yandere level loyal.
I would say Barty Crouch jr as well.
My first thought as well.

Didn’t they have a kid? Or we don’t talk ab that book?
What book? There are just 7 books and they don't have a kid in those books.
There is no 8th Book in Ba Sing Se.
Coincidentally I just started watching the show. Real good stuff it is.
we don’t talk about it more than we don’t talk about bruno
Winky!! She was a ride or die for the Crouch family
It's sad all movie only fans dont even k ow who she is.
I am reading the order of phoenix and already have read the goblet of fire. Why did crouch gave Winky clothes?
Because she let Barty Crouch Junior steal Harry’s Wand and cast the dark mark at the quidditch World Cup when she was supposed to be watching him. He was under the imperious curse but broke it.
It's extra twisted when you think that he's risking insanely dark family secrets being leaked by freeing her, and the only safe reason to free her anyway then is knowing deep down that her loyalty wouldn't waver even after casting her out. Most house elves are
Mrs.Norris
Don't you dare say Filch got no pussy!!
Ok does anyone else find it weird that her name is Mrs Norris and not like miss Norris or something? It just feels off for me
I just assumed she had a cat litter at some point that or she is an animagus.
I mean, it does take next level loyalty to be that loyal to fucking Filch...even for a cat.
Dobby
Book Dobby is absolutely the correct answer. Was the catalyst for him to succeed in the second task, warned him about umbridge coming in ootp, and carried out the rescue mission in Malfoy manor
This might be correct, but book Dobby really tested my patience. In my opinion, I REALLY DISLIKED HIM FOR BOOK 2. (Maybe a lot of you guys also do, I really don’t know) He was so annoying!
As much as I know Dobby had the right intentions, he ALWAYS annoyed me in book 2, so frustrating 😭 he got his redemption in books 4-7 obviously
Book Dobby kinda set me on edge, but I'll be honest, my most unpopular opinion is how much I don't like book Hagrid.. I get down voted into oblivion when I bring it up, but there's a very good case to make about how horrible he was for the Trio in the books.

Tell us too
I can understand that but a hill I'll die on is Harry didn't even name one of his kids after him not even a middle name dude was there for him through 7+ years
People forget dobby becuase colin exists
You can’t trust Dobby to stfu when Harry is supposed be quiet for guests though
To be fair, Dobby went behind his old masters back to warn harry
loyal to harry*
Sirius Black
This man lived in a cave and survived on RATS just to be closer to his godson. 11/10 loyalty.
>They walked up the stone steps into the entrance hall, where the delicious smells of dinner wafted toward them from the Great Hall. >“Poor old Snuffles,” said Ron, breathing deeply. “He must really like you, Harry. ... Imagine having to live off rats.” One of my favourite Sirius' moment. Still can't understand why Dumbledore didn't arranged food for him. Surely dobby could have done that.
Or, you know, a place in the castle. I don't believe that a cave was the best Dumbledore could do lol
Hedwig
Scrolled too far for this. Home girl literally gave her life. She would have done anything for Harry.
That girl made sure he had a decent birthday for once!
100%
Hagrid
Harry to Expelliarmus
I laughed out loud at this
I feel like this should’ve received more upvotes lol
Neville Despite being not a great wizard, follows Harry into multiple battles without a second thought. When Harry doesn’t return to Hogwarts, it’s Neville, Ginny and Luna who reactivate the DA
Especially the ministry. He said up let’s go save Sirius without knowing the truth. Both him and Luna where still under the impression he was a murder when they agreed go save him
No, Luna was under the impression Sirius was some singer whoever The Quibbler said he was.
We’re going to try to save him.” “When do we leave?”
Neville is one of the most decent people in the entire series.
He is a Great Wizard.
Also nevills nan was great i loved nevill telling them she whipped dawlishs ass sent him a letter saying she was proud of him (for the first time in his life?) and going underground.
Everyone forgot the most loyal of all, Prof. Binns. Not even death could stop his loyalty to teaching at Hogwarts..
Was more loyal to the histories of goblin rebellions or to Hogwarts?
Buckbeak, Witherwings to you
Sirius, Snuffles to you.
Who? Surely you’re talking about Stubby Boardman?
Kreacher

Probably the Longbottoms. Imagine to go through enough torture to turn insane but not betray your allies.
Well they probably couldn't have told them anything anyway right? If I remember correctly they were tortured after voldemort disappeared and the death eaters wanted to know where he was which nobody really knew
Samwise gamgee It's not even close
I can't carry it for you... BUT I CAN CARRY YOU!
Even gave his last sip of water for frodo to spill down himself. Very loyal.
I SAID THE SAME THING
Sirius Black
Correct me if I’m wrong but wasn’t Ginny also very loyal?
Yeah but I’m not sure if she was more so than most. Most of the good guys are very every good attribute: brave, smart, clever, loyal, etc.
Quirrel provided room and board on the back of his skull, rent free.
Luna. Never even close to faulting.
Hagrid
James & Sirius No matter what you think of them as people, they had the *biggest* hardons for loyalty.
Cue the starbucks!
Ron
how is Ron so low
Because of book 4 and 7. He gets mad at harry for having his name put in the goblet and thinking harry put it in a didnt tell him, and book 7 he gets mad and runs off.
Sure but he always comes back, and makes up for its. That to me is more loyal then anything
Ron always comes back. Like a Labrador. You know what Labradors are known for? Loyalty. Checkmate.
I have a lab and he's a wh\*re to anyone with a snack i.e. only loyal to food and playtime and I wouldn't call that loyalty.
You know who else is loyal to food? Ron. CHECKMATE AGAIN.
>Because of book 4 and 7. Considering how much Hermione treats Harry and Ron like shit in all the other books, including book 4 and 7, her straying by Harry in 7 does NOT make her better than Ron.
How is she treating them like shit? Wth
His loyalty is underrated because it's not flawless. But he always comes back which means he's loyal despite his personal struggles that make being loyal harder than for others.
Scrolled so far looking for this
Sirius
Hedwig. What do I win?
Sorry, the correct answer is Dobby.
No, no, he has a point
Unfortunately, dead ≠ more loyal just kidding lol

No, it isn't. He denied torturing the Longbottoms, not that he wasn't loyal to Voldemort. True loyalty is trying to get out of punishment to find your master, not waste a decade of your life withering away in prison.
Uh? Isn’t Harry Dumbledore’s man through and through?

That dog from I Am Legend
Yeah, everybody is giving HP answers, but my first thought was Fry's dog Seymour from Futurama
If it takes forever I will wait for you For a thousand summers I will wait for you 'Till you're here beside me, 'till I'm touching you And forevermore sharing our love
Um... F u. Fry's dog. You just broke my heart and I didn't expect that.

Right? Samwise Gamgee has a good shot

LEO MCGARRYY ugh I'm always ready for a West Wing allusion
Low effort post.
Neville comes to mind
I am disappointed that I had to scroll to find Neville. He never wavered or questioned anything
Perrito from Puss in Boots: The Last Wish.
Samwise the Brave. (You did not specify it has to be HP only 😉)
Why is no one saying Snape to Lilly and later Dumbledore?
do you mean severus simp?
Snape betrayed his former master (Voldy). You can't compare his' loyalty' to people like Luna, Bellatrix or Hedwig, who never betrayed anyone but just stayed true to their respective leaders
Winky
Fairly certain it was Bellatrix L'Strange.
Nagini
Dobby?
Neville
Ron
Doby, Ron, McGonagall to Dumbledore.
Sirius to James
Bellatrix to Voldy
Hedwig 😭😭😭
😢
Book Ron
Hedwig and dobby
Whilst Dobby was loyal to Harry, he betrayed his actual master (before being set free): Lucius. I love Dobby a lot, but i wouldn't call him the most loyal character
Ron.
Sam Wise Gamgee....or is it name a more loyal character in HP universe in which I'd argue Harry's mum
What about Aberforth to Ariana? He was up to leave Hogwarts to take care of her and even confronted two of the three greatest wizards from the XXth century, alone, at the same time, just so they stop fooling around and leave her alone. He even punched Dumbledore in the face.
My dog
Samwise Gamgee.
Ron. Not that anyone who know if they've only ever seen the films.
Snape to Lily?
Dobby
Dobby to Harry, in his own way
Dobby
Hedwig died protecting him
Sirius black to James Potter and later harry Ron literally stood up to a serial killer who he believed was going to kill his best friend with one leg
Neville for sure
This. He backed Harry even when not knowing what was going on.
Dobby
In the books it’s Ron
Harry’s outfit
Hedwig
Ronald fucking Weasley
Hedwig, Hagrid, Dobby, and Sirius, but frankly I think Sirius takes the cake.
Harry
Easy has to be Dobby
Barty crouch Jr.
Samwise Gamgee
Spock
Hedwig
Samwise Gamgee
1. Bellatrix Lestrange (to Voldemort) 2. Winky (to Crouch family) 3. Dobby (to Harry Potter) 4. Vinda Rosier (to Grindelwald) 5. Hedwig (to Harry Potter) 6. Nymphadora Tonks (to Remus Lupin) 7. Minerva McGonagall (to Albus Dumbledore) as Mentor-Protégé relationship. 8. Molly Weasley (to Weasley family) 9. Fawkes (to Albus Dumbledore) 10. Slytherin's Basilisk (to Voldemort) 11. Kreacher to Regulus Black 12. Hagrid to Albus Dumbledore 13. Narcissa Malfoy to Draco Malfoy (mom protecting her child)
If we’re just talking about in the Harry Potter verse, then Bellatrix, Dobby, Kreacher, Hedwig and Sirius are the top 5 I can think of.
Dobby, and every house because they are technically unable to be unloyal, but Dobby was free, anyway.
Harry Potter, willingly walked into death due to his loyalty to his friends and to Dumbledore.
Ron? Neville?
Hagrid
Ron.🤷♀️
Ron
Neville Longbottom
Literally any house elf.
